Wear good shoes with grips because the floor is also wet at times. I don't recommend bringing babies or toddlers, but we managed to do it with a toddler. Worth going to, if you have good mobility and aren't claustrophobic. I really enjoyed it. I have also done Marvel Cave at Silver Dollar City and prefer that one because it's much larger. (But it's inside the theme park.) This one has some cool formations, but the cave isn't very wide at any point, and all the stairs are wet. You'll get dripped on a few times. Our tour guide Tom was great. They take your photo then offer to sell it to you at one point, but you can skip it and there are no restrictions on taking your own pics or videos. They also have a great mile-long nature trail, and a shorter ones. The mini golf looked fun on the side of a cliff. The gift shop has a large selection of different kinds of rocks. read more

Gift shop has a ton of neat things to look at, the tour guides were very knowledgeable of the history of the caves and very informative. Highly recommend this experience. You do walk all around inside the cave and even get to walk through some tight spaces to take the tour. Wear good quality shoes because it is very wet and you don't wanna slip and make sure you wear clothes you wouldn't mind getting a little dirty because you will end up rubbing against some of the walls as you're squeezing through some spots. read more

It was our first time and it was a blast. So much to see and so much to do. The staff was super nice and our guide through the caverns was great. I wish I remembered his name. I think it was Willard...and he had super long hair. He dropped knowledge and laughs throughout the tour. My boys and wife had fun. The tour itself was super, super cool. Pretty easy to walk through but as mentioned in other reviews, there are a couple of tight spots to walk by. The gift shop is awesome! So much to see and buy. My 6yo loved buying his our bag of sand and sifting through it outside. He got to actually pan for cool stones. After we played outside we played miniature golf. We didn't get the chance to walk through the trail, I wish we had. Talking Rocks Cavern is definitely something to do. We'll be back on our next visit. read more

Having been to a few caverns over the years I expected something similar. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a smaller cavern but has a rich history which our tour guide, Ben, explained before leading the small group into the cavern. We were able to experience the complete darkness and a variety of different lighting levels that simulated what people dealt with 100 years ago when creating the necessary elements for this to be an attraction. Here are your warnings. It is wet inside the cavern and you will get dripped on. It is 63 degrees so bring a sweater or jacket if you are sensitive to the cold. The stairs and walkways are VERY narrow, the stairs are steep and wet so wear shoes with a good grip. It is more primitive than other cave tour experience so be prepared. Beyond the cavern there are others things to do, panning silt for gemstones and mini-golf. Worth the trip and the photo opportunities are varied. read more

This one was another "mixed bag" for me. I absolutely love caves, have visited many and have several books on the subject as well as having viewed many documentaries. I wouldn't put this one in my top 10 list. The good: beautiful cave formations including one massive column that looks like an angel. And, it is a living cave (still growing which means it is damp). The bad: It is more of a vertical cave and definitely not a horizontal cave. You descend several levels and are looking at some of the same formations from different perspectives. It is steep and in some place very narrow. I'd not recommend this for elderly or very large people. But the biggest puzzler is the name: Talking Rocks Caverns. I assumed there was some sort of concave feature where you cold stand on one side and whisper to people on the other and your voiced would be amplified. Or, perhaps there was an echo since it was so deep. But guess what? The answer is neither. Apparently, they used to position speakers behind rocks and have a voice come out which was startling children so they discontinued the use. And yet the name stayed the same? Odd. PS - they will tell you not to touch some of the formations due to the oils in our hands damaging/discoloring the natural surfaces. But, there is absolutely no way avoid doing this in some of the more narrow passages where it is essential to do so without slipping. So - would I recommend it? Maybe. read more

Plenty of parking. The shops is amazing. So many rocks and gems to look at. The tour is about an hour and is guided. I believe there are about 253 steps so make sure you are comfortable going up and down stairs. There are some snug areas to walk through or low lying rocks. We really enjoyed this. The cave is much warmer than other caves we have been to, about 60ish degrees. It is wet throughout so be prepared to get shoes wet. Our guide was very informative and kind. Such a cool place! This is a vertical cave and the spaces can get pretty tight, so if you are claustrophobic, this is probably not the cave you should go in. never fear though! While the rest of your party is int he cave, there is a nature trail that you can check out. it has neat little milestones and a crazy high lookout. If you're afraid of heights, stay off this one and just continue on the trail :). The gift shop has a lot of cute trinkets as well as some higher end decorative pieces for purchase. If you like geodes, there's plenty of those here too. I think the best part of this trip was the mini golf. It wasn't a very big mini golf course by any means, but it was fun a new challenging and we had so much fun bringing out our competitive side read more

Talking Rocks Cavern is a nice excursion in the Branson area. It has some nice trails and the scenery is beautiful. Along the trails you'll see "pancake rocks" and there is a tower that you can walk up and see the foliage over the tree tops. I wasn't able to take the tour of the cavern due to a soccer injury but am looking forward to taking it the next trip there. Prices seemed reasonable. A definite must if on a budget! read more

Went on a Monday afternoon so our tour was less than ten people which made it really special. There's a few tight squeezes but definitely not anything that should make you feel "enclosed". Make sure you use the restroom before the tour as I had to pee in the middle and there's no bathrooms in the cave itself! Reasonably priced and a great gift shop. A lot of people when traveling to Branson focus on the amusement parks and tourist sites but the natural parks and caverns are where it is at!! read more

This was quite an adventure! We arrived while it was raining heavily but could see some nature walks, mini golf and the sluicing area on our way to the front door. We were kindly greeted once we entered and helped right away to be put on the next tour. While we waited for our tour to start we wandered around the gift shop. It was amazing. So many beautiful specimens of minerals and fossils! Unique items included large agate slices (some natural and some dyed), plates and cups made of stone, geodes to break open yourself and gorgeous Arizona sandstone. Our tour guides name was Nick and he did an excellent job. He was friendly and gave a lot of information about the cave's history as well as geological information. The cave itself is quite magical. I've never seen anything like it! There is a short music and light show once you reach the absolute bottom of the cave. Nick even turned off all the lights in the cave for a moment for everyone to experience. It was truly dark- I couldn't see my hand in front of my face! A word of caution: there are a lot of steps with tight turns and impasses that are tight, too. Take your time and go slow! Overall a great place to visit, especially if you have never toured a cave before! Pro tip- check out the flyers a d brochures to score $2 off each admission. read more

This was out first cavern experience and we truly enjoyed it! This is a vertical cavern so be ready to go up and down 200+ stairs while holding onto handrails. The tour starts off inside the building with a short history of the cave and we enter through a door in the gift shop. I was a little worried about it being musty but it wasn't at all especially since the only entrance has been closed off and there's no bats. The tour guide did a great job pointing things out. There are tons of light for picture opportunities and they will take a picture at the end that you can buy for $10. After the tour, my friends and I tackled the speleobox outside. It is a box meant to simulate moving through a cramped cave. Keep it mind, the box gets HOT during a summer day so if anything, tackle the one inside the gift shop on a hot day. My friends and I all went through it (140-200 lbs / 5'3"-5'8"). read more

The tour guide was extremely knowledgable. The only negative was that this cave was the most expensive I have ever been on 20 dollars per adult and 10 dollars per child. Way overpriced. (Just putting it out there) Beautiful caves!! Nice tour guides and opportunities for photos . We were at the front but some in the back couldn't hear well although it was a small group, prob about 20 people. Tours are about every 30 minutes, there's a coupon on their website I took advantage of. Gift shop has a wide variety of treasures. I didn't see any signs about this -but if you are very tall, heavier or have very wide hips and /or large belly u may want to rethink this one. again just putting it out there as there were times I thought I may not fit through some of the passageways. Also at the end of the tour, what goes down of course must come back up , so if you're not good at climbing stairs- like 8-10 flights up at once, you may want to stay in the back of the group. I thought my legs were gonna give out on me on the last few steps. I know, I'm out of shape. Talking Rocks Caverns is a great way to see the caves in the area. Adult tickets were $17.95 and kids tickets were $9.95. There was a $2 off each ticket coupon in the local coupon books. This tour was a great value given the price of other activities in the area as well as the amount of time spent. The guide was very knowledgable of the area, the cave and its history, and other caves around the world. She was able to answer many questions and provided a positive, safe experience. The cave is quite deep so it does require maneuvering up and down several sets of stairs. There are also several free activities around the cavern grounds as well. A hiking trail leads to an observation tower and waterfall area. There are also 2 free maze activities for the kids (or brave adults) to crawl through. These mazes simulate climbing through small areas within a cave. For an additional fee, there is also miniature golf available. It appeared as if a small playground area was in the process of being added at the entrance. read more
