I needed my septic tank pumped - it had been WAY too long since the last time. Asked for recommendations on a local social media site, and Tall Boots was the first 4 recommendations. Good enough for me. I called and got the appointment set up (appointment time between 11 and 1). Zack came up the driveway at 11 promptly. He pumped the septic tank, and also gave me lots of information about how septic tanks work, maintenance tips, and even showed me how to do some repairs myself, saving me a lot of money in the process. When we moved into our home in Alta Sierra in 2017, our real estate agent was assisting us with home inspection service(s). One of our our first contractors picked was Tall Boots Septic Pumping services to: a) inspect our two septic tank(s), b) pump and empty both tanks, c) clean and inspect the leach line tank barrier filter and d) inspect the condition and seal of two top tank access lids visible in the yard. This morning in 2022, we called the office to see if we could have a tank inspection and leach line tank barrier filter cleaning. Denise took our call, looked up our 2017 inspection records and checked the schedule that was very busy. She called back early afternoon that same day and advised Zack and Cody's team could stop by in about 30 minutes and complete the work with an estimate depending upon the inspection. Both tanks were inspected, levels checked, leach-line tank barrier filter removed and cleaned and tank lid(s) inspected for seal and hex screw closure. I am so pleased with their rapid response, follow-up and closure of this very important home septic tank sewer system. Zack advised me how to care for the system and when to schedule a recheck/pump evacuation based on today's inspection. Outstanding service! Great employees! I called Tall Boots because 1. I loved the originality and humor in their name, 2. Great references and since they have come out to pump our septic tank, I highly join those great recommendations. Tall Boots came out as scheduled, on time...even though it was one of the rainiest days we've had in years! Zack got right to work and within 30 minutes he was finished. He slogged through the rain to make it easier for me to make payment. He was friendly (so was his wife, on the phone) and represented his company well. I will certainly stay on septic pumping schedules now that I know I can call a company as nice as Tall Boots. Oh, and they take credit cards! First experience with the company and we are very happy. Phone conversations, appointment setting and all communications were very good. Denise was very friendly and helpful. Service day came & went well. The owner/operator showed up on time and then after he found nearly 1/3 of the tank was filled with CAT LITTER (from previous home owner)... he pumped it up and removed the cat litter for us at minimal extra cost. Great company. I had my septic back up and began to call several companies to come out and pump my tank... the first two said it would be at least two weeks and that everyone is really busy. My third call was to "Tall Boots Septic Pumping Services" Spoke with one of the owners, Denise. She understood my problem was one that could not wait two weeks and immediately got on the phone and call another client who had an appointment on Monday that was not an emergency and was able to squeeze me in Monday morning. Her husband Zack came out and was very pleasant to deal with. He pumped the tank and gave me some excellent advice to avoid any future issues. We never knew we had a filter in the outflow, that should be cleaned once a year, and were lucky not to have had problems. Denise was very friendly and helpful with answering my questions regarding the septic pumping. The quote she sent me was much less than another pumping service I had called. Since we have only been in our home for two years and purchased it as a foreclosure, we had no idea where the septic tank was. It didn't take Zach long to find it when he came out to do the service. Zach dug down three feet to the septic lid and was good humored about our 70 lb. wolfdog puppy digging the loose dirt and knocking some back into the hole ;~) Zach and Denise are super nice people and real pros at what they do. I am a developer who recently purchased a property. I did not know the septic inspection had already been done as it was done by the Bank who foreclosed on the property. I went ahead and had a local septic company inspect the tank. The results were that one side (the liquids of the tank) was empty and the other had 36" of solids. Both the inlet and the outlet pipes were smashed. After these findings I found out that the Bank had done an inspection as well a month and a half earlier. The findings on that report were that the tank was pumped out and everything was OK. Two completely different reports on the same tank. Huh. After digging around it turns out that Tall Boots never opened the second lid, tried to pump the tank from the other side, and must have not inspected the inlet and outlet. Their report was bogus and they charged for work they did not do. I was not going to write this, but after receiving a call from the owner and him telling me the company I hired charged us too much for their work (that they actually did) I decided that it was necessary. Tall Boots charged the bank just a little less than the company I hired (Urke Septic). I love our community and how we do not do business up here like they do in the city.
