Went with a group of friends around 4pm on Saturday. It was a beautiful day to be outside. They had some great happy hour offerings. I went with the Mexican beer which was perfect for a sunny day outside. We also ordered all of their food options 2x for our group as it grew. I only sampled the soft pretzel, it was good with a good cheese dipping sauce. At 8pm a DJ was setting up and the crowd transitioned to more of an evening crowd including some club outfits. Great rooftop bar, with an extensive drink selection and reasonable prices. Use the main entrance of Waymoor Guest house then take the elevator to the 5th floor. Service is prompt, mixed drinks are well balanced, seating is scenic and plentiful. Only thing to improve would be the size as it can only hold around 100 people at max. read more

Came here with a coworker while waiting for Butcher & the Bee to open, and Tall Tales ended up being a really pleasant surprise. It's a roof top bar inside of a boutique hotel. The cocktail list was impressive, with creative craft options alongside some great non-alcoholic choices. The outdoor seating area was cozy and comfortable -- a nice spot to unwind before dinner. Inside, the bartender was friendly and welcoming, which added to the experience. The only small downside was the music being a bit loud for conversation, but overall it was a fun, relaxed stop that set the tone for the evening. I almost don't want to write this review so this spot will remain a hidden gem ... but it's really too good not to share! Tall Tales is located on the rooftop of the Waymore Hotel in East Nashville, and it's an untouched oasis of verdant plant life with a gorgeous view of the Nashville skyline. My husband and I arrived just after they opened on Saturday afternoon, and the bar was busy ... probably because they were getting ready for a Yacht-themed party later that night. A bartender took our order, and walked us through their new TabX payment system, which is oh-so easy to use after downloading the app. We snagged a spot on the rooftop, and enjoyed our cocktails and the unseasonably pleasant weather. There are all different sizes of seating on the rooftop, making this a great spot for a date night or a big group hang. They also bring the drinks right to your table, and check in on you as you're wrapping up. Heads-up that the drinks are on the expensive side, but that's what you get when you're so close to Downtown Nashville. We didn't get to try any of their food options next time, but I have a feeling we'll be back very soon! read more

This is a nice hidden rooftop alot of people probably don't know about. It has a a great view of the sunset and of the city as well. And the staff is always friendly. The expresso martini is Delicious and a go to of mine when I'm there. read more

I cant believe I didn't know about this place! Tall Tales is way bigger than what you might originally think. They have a list of signature drinks and the option to order any classic drink as they have a full bar. With indoor and outdoor seating you are sure to find what vibe you are looking for. They play upbeat music, inside seemed louder than outside which was perfect because we could kinda choose which we wanted. A guest in our party brought her dog so we sat outside. Perched atop Waymore's Hotel, Tall Tales has been providing excellent cocktail, light bites and phenomenal views for a few months now! The space is indoor/outdoor, with both having their own vibe. Indoor features a retro- feel with the curved and rounded bar, dim lighting and light colors. While outdoors has a rooftop garden oasis in the city vibe with lots of seating, some semi private, rope lights and as mentioned, amazing views of the city. Service is stellar as well. Ben, the Manager is friendly, knowledgeable and an all around solid dude! While you can order at the bar, their servers roam the rooms and can take care of you from your seat. Whether you are on a date night, have friends in town, celebrating something or just out for a cocktail, Tall Tale is a solid spot to be! read more

I had one of the best nights at tall tales, the rooftop bar at the Waymore hotel. I went there for happy hour with friends and got two glasses of wine on happy hour pricing. The vibe of the bar was great. They had incredible music playing all night which I really appreciate it. All of the music was from the Golden era of hip-hop, who doesn't love that. The staff was really awesome and very nice and talked to us a bit early on. We went to dinner across the street and then actually came back to tall tales afterwards because we had such a good time the first time around we wanted to continue the night. The rooftop is absolutely huge. You don't realize that first how big it is, but it extends the length of the building and has one of the best views of downtown Nashville. Highly recommend but also don't want to get too popular because I don't want it to be overcrowded in the future. read more

Such a beautiful rooftop! Tall Tales did not disappoint. I came here for a launch party and was amazed at this beautiful space. The bar immediately caught my eye, very vintage looking and the patio is filled with beautiful greenery creating a relaxed vibe. The boutique hotel below sets the tone from the minute you walk in. Management, the Bar tenders and every person I came across was extremely helpful and welcoming. I will be back soon for brunch because many people highly recommended it read more

We stopped by for a drink last night and were so impressed by this place! The space is beautiful and relaxing...so many comfy seating areas, soft lighting and a fabulous decked area with many conversation pits/booths and a few fire pits. The amazing thing was how friendly the hotel guests were- we are locals but had conversations with two sets of out of towners! The drinks were well prepared and decently priced.
