Sadly, since the change in ownership, it seems to have gone downhill quickly. On our recent visits, they no longer had the ingredients needed to make many of the cocktails, the food has essentially disappeared from the menu--with only popcorn available--and the music was so painfully loud that we felt like we needed earplugs. What was once a unique destination now feels like just another bar on the Gallatin strip, which is really disappointing because the original Tiger Bar had so much character and potential. At this point, I would even suggest considering a name change. Many of the older, glowing reviews reflect the Tiger Bar that existed under the previous ownership and, unfortunately, don't represent the experience today. If it had not been for the kind staff (I counted only 3 which may explain why tables were sticky) I would give zero stars. Giving 2 stars because the staff was friendly and kind and seemed to be trying , the bar tender did attempt to offer drink suggestions. They are not the blame for downfall of a once cool bar and vibe.

I love that I can meet up here with a large group and no reservations and there is something for everyone. Really tasty, reasonably priced cocktails or NA options, a great shareable food menu (the bee sting pizza and the pizza rolls are truly not to be missed!) It's also one of the rare spots I actually crave coming to when it gets a little chilly outside because the outdoor fire pits and flannel blankets make it such a cozy fall vibe! My book club often requests that we meet here when it gets s bit chilly since it's dog friendly and really easy for a small group to have their own space for a hangout. Parking on the street can get a bit busy during oral times, but I'm always able to find a spot within a block walking distance. Service is fast and friendly, and you never have to wait long to order, even if it is more crowded (as it can be in good weather days and weekends.) There is a covered indoor space if there's inclement weather, so you're not just limited to outside. This is truly an East Nashville classic and well lived by locals for a reason.

Sean has found such a lovely, kind group of staff members who you can tell genuinely love coming into work. So much so that one even offered to work Christmas for those like myself who didn't have plans. She wrapped silly gifts and had a free hot meal for people who needed it. This is kind of bar that creates community. It felt pretty full circle but also an honor to hang my grandpa on the wall of gramps. He left Memphis for California decades go and has since passed. I left California about a year and a half ago for Nashville and when I saw the chance to hang his picture up here it felt right.
