Well, well, well...Nashville is always full of surprises on the food scene. Let's add The GOAT in Germantown to that list. We were passing through on our way to Bowling Green & decided to stop by for some dinner. Wait staff is fun, attentive and very helpful. They suggested we try a special margarita flight. Great recommendation and one everyone should try. I wish I could remember the special names but I can't. I do recall one was like a sangria, another pear & another watermelon. Very unusual but oh so good. The drinks were even better since we were able to watch the World Cup game on the large tvs. SCORE!! For our meal we chose to make our own tacos. I loved the pulled pork. Tender, moist & flavorful the way it should be. Parking is limited in this area. I'd suggest an uber or scooter. read more

We were looking for a brunch spot within walking distance of our Airbnb, and were happy to find The Goat. We had a rather large party, but were able to get in without a problem. When I called ahead to ask if they served brunch, the girl who answered the phone had no idea how to answer the question, so I was relieved when I saw the various brunch menus. Our waitress handled our party well, but service overall was a bit slow. My husband had The Classic, which he enjoyed, but the hashbrowns were a bit overdone. My Breakfast Tacos were good and filling, with the smoked pulled pork adding a rich flavor the eggs. There were others in our group who had the chicken and waffles, and they were a bit disappointed in how overdone their chicken and/or waffles were. Someone commented that the kitchen must not have changed out their oil for our group, because of how crispy and hard some of their food was. The Goat is a large space with both classic and creative options. Good for both small and large groups. And for the record...they do serve brunch. read more

This is such a nice spot to grab a quick lunch! My friend and I met up here and there was no wait time, plus your parking is validated which is a great perk. Our server was very friendly and kept checking on us. The food was delicious and I also had a mocktail which was pretty good, I might try something else next time. I love the Germantown area and this little section was quiet. They also have board games you can play with a group in a lounge area which was a big hit for me. We decided to stop here on our way back home after visiting Nashville because of a concert. The food was delicious and hot! We tried the lavender basil lemonade (mocktail) shoutout to the bartender. For apps we had the pizza rolls and hot chicken dip; delicious! The pickles with the hot chicken dip were a wonderful touch. For entrees we had the southern, devil on goatback, and halfaloaf. I am truly shocked given the rating here is quite high. I'll lead with the fact that I couldn't tell if the pork in my taco was refried beans or pork. Next we have The Italian Pizza Rolls, these are labeled as a "signature item." I rather they put some Totinos pizza rolls in the microwave and gave them to me. We couldn't finish this item either. We really tried to like our order. We just couldn't wait to leave to go home to make something else. I'll end with the fact that we were both RUNNING to the bathroom once we got home because our stomachs started to hurt. **Our waitress was nice to us, this does not reflect her as a person - it's honestly the establishment as a whole. I think it's worth considering some changes. There are other people saying the food is "real bad." We had such a fun time at The Goat in Nashville! We grabbed seats at the bar to watch the Titans game, and the energy was awesome. The drinks were incredible, perfectly made and super refreshing. You have to try the pickle chips, they're seriously addictive! The boneless wings could have been a little better.
