Tall Trellis is an awesome family friendly brewery. They're frequently busy but they have a large space and a big parking lot. They have a large patio area where dogs and kids can play and run around (leased dogs, not the kids ). They have a stage outside and lots of individual seating and picnic tables. They have one of the best brewery patios in KC. The indoor space is also fairly large and they do have a room that can be rented for private events. And this year, they added an outdoor tent so you don't have to freeze but can still be outside. They have a few TVs for sports ball watching. Service is always fanatic. Despite being busy, they're always clean. They do offer food-tacos, pizzas, kids menu. I've not tried any but I always see people ordering so it must be pretty good. It's a brewery so obviously they have beer, but they also have nonalcoholic beverages and wine. I stick to the beer. My favorites are alway the stouts. They remind me of simpler old school stouts that aren't sweet and heavy. They have live music and other events so make sure to follow their social media and definitely check them out! read more

Really cool local bar/restaurant I'm not a beer drinker so I can't speak on the beer and I know that's what they're known for and the food is pretty decent but honestly what I enjoy most how close it is to my house and all the outdoor seating it's just a nice place to go sit outside and enjoy a drink. read more

Great drinks, great atmosphere, great place to spend an evening! I've been here a handful of times and it never disappoints. I love all the outdoor seating and it's the perfect spot for friends and families to hang out. The Whipped Feta Skillet was AMAZING! I also really like the flatbread. I loved our stop at Tall Trellis. We shared a flight and the whipped feta skillet and the buffalo chicken flatbread. I enjoyed each of the beers in our flight. As a sour lover I really liked the margarita sour and left with a 4-pack. I would go back just for that sour. The whipped feta skillet was amazing and had plenty to share and the Buffalo chicken flatbread was great as well. I would order those again when we return (especially the whipped feta!). The outdoor space was perfect for a beautiful day outside and very family friendly. We plan on coming back! read more

Loved this brewery! It's very family friendly and dog friendly with an outdoor seating area and patio tables. There's also an indoor bar and seating area. We enjoyed beer, beer flights, appetizers, and cocktails. The service was quick and friendly, and someone came around and took our empty plates and cups. It's a fine place that sometimes seems like an exclusive club that's hard to get into. At my previous job, I was only off on Sundays. We tried to come here several times and when we arrived we found out they were closed for private events or a holiday (either mother's or Father's Day). We hadn't tried to come for a while. We came recently and while it looked like there was a lot of seating, that was all being left open for an upcoming private party. Good for them, they are popular. The location is beautiful. I'm not the biggest fan of not knowing if I will be able to get a beer or a seat, so I'll probably just come if I see an interesting event. read more

Stopped in the watch the game. Being my first time there I somewhat expected some type of food available at least during the game. They had large meeting room on one side of the entrance that was rented out for a party. That area looked like it was very large and would hold several guest if you were looking for a place to host events. The main room is large and with plenty of seating. Most of the beer that offer (all but 1) were the beers that they brew. Staff was helpful with deciding which beer to go with. Out of the two beers I tried they were both smooth and had good taste. There is also a very large outdoor seating area and what appears to be a stage that they could host band. Let's start with the positives. The space itself is large, clean, and bright. The service was friendly as well. As far as the beer...the one we tried was not good at all. We didn't try the food, so I can't speak to that (it looked good though), but compared to all of the other amazing local beers in KC, this just didn't hit the spot. read more

The space where we held our family event was lovely however the amount of food provided was not enough for the people in attendance. We were charged per person for food however our family members felt they needed to order extra food. If this is the business model of Tall Trellis then they are succeeding in extorting more money from good people. Fun brewery in Olathe! For being right off the highway, it certainly doesn't feel it and it's very easy to access! The patio is spacious and a great place to hang when the weather is great! Live music and food trucks happen (weather pending) on the patios too! With a paved and gravel lot, there's options for seating, running, and playing! Lots of locally brewed beer (including use of hops they grow!) - some of our favorites are the sours and Mexican lagers. They also have guest taps and cocktails, and a wide assortment of N.A. drinks! The food menu has some snacks and meals! The new whipped feta is an easy favorite, but the pretzel sticks are also great. My husband and I had our baby shower here in December. The space was great but loud and not enough seating was provided for our party. The only staff that checked on us was Benton, who was also apart of our party while still tending to the rest of the bar. The food service we paid for was less than adequate for our party leaving us to feel we definitely overpaid and guests ended up having to pay out of pocket for food and drinks. Due to Benton being the main reason we chose Tall Trellis, we were very disappointed in how little our party was cared for. If you're looking for outdoor patio seating, TT is a great spot! Dog friendly too! I'm happy to see they brew their own beers now. Lots of guest taps and coffees on the menu. The wine is a bit pricey, the flatbread was very basic and the food truck schedule isn't easy to locate on social media or the website. What a GEM in Olathe. Olathe has long been lacking coffee shops with updated, modern vibes. Tall Trellis squarely meets that need. Even though Tall Trellis is a bit off the beaten path (no other retail in sight, tucked away off a residential exit off K-7), that doesn't seem to stop patrons from dropping in. Tall Trellis has been open least than a year, so I can only imagine their traffic will grow as word spreads about this place. I love coffee + bar concepts. Tall Trellis has a full coffee menu, as well as a full beer menu. They have a small food menu - I'd love to see that expanded and diversified at some point. I am gluten-free right now, and didn't see any options for me. Tall Trellis is spacious, with seating that accommodates groups both large and small. I sat comfortably by myself at the bar working on my laptop. There are large windows all along the front wall, giving the space a lot of natural light. (I'd love to see some plants in here to amp up the decor even more.) There is a lot of outdoor space - both a patio and what appears to be more of an event area that I will have to check out sometime during warmer weather. The baristas were ultra-friendly, helping me at both the register, and checking on me later to see if I needed anything. The coffee was good, and the price was reasonable in this economy. I plan on making Tall Trellis a part of my regular rotation! Excited for Olathe to have a place like this. read more

How have I never been here??? I live in Cedar Creek and I remember hearing about the opening but I just made it in. I was looking for a place to set up and work one morning and went to another coffee shop in the area that was packed and then remembered this place. So glad I did. So stinking cute, great coffee (had a specialty thing and then a standard pour when that was gone) and I had a yummy bacon cheese scone. What a great addition to the Cedar Creek area! A range of quality beverages from microbrew and artisanal beers to wines and a range of good coffee options. This place is bright, friendly, stylish and chic - what's not to like..? I'm not a beer drinker (long story about working behind a bar at too formative an age and growing to hate the smell of the stuff) but thankfully I can enjoy the wines and coffees, as well as the atmosphere. This is an indoor or (weather permitting) outdoor venue. And when the hops planned for the outside finally take root and climb the 'tall trellises' the place will look amazing. It's already great indoors and out - and will only get better. No one in Cedar Creek will notice the prices - but they are pretty good anyway. Add to this the intermittent presence of the odd food truck outside and pastries on offer inside and the place doesn't get much better. What a great spot to pull off Highway 10 for! My partner is a beer lover and I am not. We've been to breweries in 5 states and this is only the SECOND one we've visited that had drinks for me too! Yay coffee! I was so excited we had to go in to check it out right away. The coffee, beer and service were all awesome!
