    Shut Out Stout
    Colleen L.

So last night I was supposed to be attending the Sublime/Incubus concert but it was postponed/canceled. We had already mapped out where we were going to go before to get some food and have a drink and decided to stick with at least that portion of the original plan. I had not heard of this brewery in Bonner Springs and was excited to check it out. It's located in a strip of little business all connected together. There's a bbq spot, a little game/arcade area, a coffee shop/cocktail bar, little shops with randomness, a Mexican spot, and an ice cream shop. You can walk from one to the other and it's all inside. They have a cool outdoor space with a covered patio and cornhole. There's plenty of spots to sit inside or out and there's so many things and places that I feel like it would appeal to a large variety of individuals. I tried the stout and a pineapple Berliner Weiss. Both were ok. Not the worst but not the best. I think they may be a newer brewery and it definitely has that new brewery taste. #iykyk Everyone there was friendly and they were quite busy. It's definitely worth checking out and I look forward to returning and trying more brews.

Cold beer and a great table top!

Nice trip off of the beaten path! The 10 & 2 Stout was awesome! Great sports bar vibe with some great BBG next door at Quentin's. Y'all come and enjoy!!

Damn good beer! Left (IPA, forgot the name but delicious). Right: Pils coming in at 6% Abv and very flavorful!

Well hot damn! Worth a lil trip to Edwardsville to find this gem! Sampled a few and decided on two. Loved their can o corn cream ale as well as the cactus version that had peppers brewed in it. (Lil heavy for a full pour, though). The IPAs were both decent. Liked the monster one most. The pils was impressive in flavor and ABV. Nice and crisp on a hot day. Service was great. Folks were friendly and appreciative of business support. Simple pricing: $3 tasters, $6 full pours. I think they have cheez its, pub mix, PB pretzels you can buy by the cup. You can also BYOF. Outdoor patio seating was available and there was live music and a taco truck on the Saturday we went. They were also playing the World Series from 2016 . Get yourself to Outfield for some quality pours.

Great atmosphere and staff was very friendly. The beer was just ok/good but nothing really stood out.

They have a large patio area where dogs and kids can play and run around (leased dogs, not the kids ). They have a stage outside and lots of individual seating and picnic tables. They have one of the best brewery patios in KC. The indoor space is also fairly large and they do have a room that can be rented for private events. And this year, they added an outdoor tent so you don't have to freeze but can still be outside. They have a few TVs for sports ball watching. Service is always fanatic. Despite being busy, they're always clean. They do offer food-tacos, pizzas, kids menu. I've not tried any but I always see people ordering so it must be pretty good. It's a brewery so obviously they have beer, but they also have nonalcoholic beverages and wine. I stick to the beer. My favorites are alway the stouts. They remind me of simpler old school stouts that aren't sweet and heavy. They have live music and other events so make sure to follow their social media and definitely check them out!

But you're coming for the beer, and the beer is really great. Limitless has gone from a location in a light office park to its own standalone building, complete with patio and plenty of space. There are generally half a dozen or more of their own craft brews on tap ranging from IPA through porter/stout. You may have even had some of their flagship beers elsewhere, such as JoCo Juice, a hazy IPA or Rolling in the Deep, a double New England IPA. I myself go for malt over hop, so I find their Marzen to be one of my favorite beers. If they have their Mexican lager on tap, then I also suggest sampling that as well. A flight of four runs you $14-ish and is a great value, as the sample sizes give you plenty of opportunity to really get a feel for their offerings. If you find something you really like, then you can take four-packs home to go in cans. Limitless is open almost every day, at least until 7:00 and when the weather is nice, the patio was a must do. There are frequently people playing a board game or just enjoying the space, and while I don't want this to be just another noisy space, they could do with maybe a TV or two more. But that is just me being picky and since they are in the neighborhood, I like visiting whenever I can.

Not sure what the stigma was or how it began, but we came for the post-party to a kids birthday…read moreparty and wanted to have some adult time and enjoy some live music. However, the older female bartender was probably the most anti-child/parent person I've met in a long time. Not sure if she was never a mother or had a niece or what, but when asking for paper towels or napkins and she acted baffled like they'd never need to clean up anything before except for my kids spilling their water. When asked about trash cans to put trash, she also told me, "trash cans actually create more trash than they hold.". Lady was wound tight. Not to mention having some other older folks in there that just pointed and talk-down on our group all night until we left. Sorry we had some beers and enjoyed live music WITH KIDS. As much as I like the main room and outdoors, I'm not sure the venue can make up for salty people and overpriced beer. Is what it is. As for families who want to enjoy some beers, I'd find a much better venue. Angry woman in the photo.
