Sales staff is great, parts department is great and every visit has been pleasant. I recently bought a 2020 Iron 1200 and can't think of anything negative to say about the experience. They aren't the largest dealership by any means so they don't always have what you want in stock but are more than accommodating when it comes to ordering things. They have quite a few events and are very involved with local non profits. There is an event just about every weekend and proceeds from the event will benefit a different charity each time. I'm traveling across the country solo from South Florida to San Diego. On my first day I rode through a monsoon and when I pulled into the rest stop, my shifter wasn't catching gears and I was stranded. I was offered no assistance from HD of Orlando (they'll get their review, trust me) but Luckily, once the bike sat for a while and I fiddled with it, I was able to get her to change gears and made it to my hotel. The next day as I was passing through Tallahassee, I stopped at this dealership in hopes that they could check my tire pressure and take a look at the shifter to see if there were any obvious issues that could be dangerous. I believe the service managers name was Ted (forgive me if I'm wrong), and he didn't hesitate for a minute to put my bike on the rack. 20 min later they returned my bike to me. They not only checked my pressure, but they greased and tightened my shifter AND replaced my hand brake (I dropped my bike a long time ago and the hand brake bent out of shape). They didn't charge me a penny either! How's THAT for taking care of customers!! Everyone was so nice to me and after the stress from the day before, the worry of something serious being wrong with my bike, plus an entire day of riding, I was so grateful for their kindness. If I ever end up riding through Tallahassee again, I will be sure to stop by to see these guys. I should also add that their service waiting room offers complementary waters and a soda fountain machine. Because I live in Valdosta? i assumed that the closest Harley Davidson dealership would be the best and most convenient repair solution. I waited six weeks for a simple WRITTEN ESTIMATE before deciding to talk to another dealership. kris Wolff was professional, honest and sympathetic. After viewing my photos and estimate from my insurance company? He agreed to help. Within 72 hours? My motorcycle was at his shop in Tallahassee and there was a written estimate emailed to my insurance company. Kris kept me informed and up to date on everything that transpired! I am overjoyed at the progress that we have made in a very short time! I feel like he really cares about his clients and goes above and beyond to make things happen and I cant thank him and his team enough for restoring my faith in Harley Davidson and for making me feel like I'm part of their family! First off, we got a good price on the bike itself. Not complaining about that BUT they tacked on a warranty $1700 for one year , GAP another $1500 and some useless $600 bike theft protection stickers without going over the numbers with me first. When they met me for delivery it was basically sign the contract or they take the bike back to Tallahassee. Their response was "we have to make some money somewhere since you're getting the bike under book". When I went to cancel all this they sat on the paperwork for MONTHS until I got HD corporate involved. Wow. What a crock. The bike also sat on their floor at another location for MONTHS. They should've been glad to just get rid of it. Nope. These guys are total slime balls. I purchased in June and it was October/November before they finally got my refunds to me at a prorated price, of course. read more

The battery went dead on my 32 month old Ultra Classic on I-10 a few miles from this store. Only took 2 hours for the HOG tow to get me there. They took it right in and replaced the battery confirming it was dead, but charging system was ok. No explanation just a $280 mother fucking bill for a battery. This is why you never ever, got to a dealer unless you are stuck somewhere or the scoot is still under warranty. Pretty sure at this point my next bike will be a Gold, I mean "Chicken Wing". Almost as bad as the $413 fucking rear tire last year in NY. Do not ever bring you bike here or any Harley Stealer for anything, they are thieves! read more

This is a pretty cool shop. They have events and stuff and they were having one when my buddy and I pulled up. He just wanted to get a local shop. I am not a huge fan of Harley, but this was a nice shop. They have a lounge with many complimentary goods, a fairly clean bathroom, and a nice staff. I found most of their goods to be overpriced, but that is all due to the brand. The only complaint is the location. It isn't very accessible and the parking would be a nightmare if they had a large event on the grounds. read more

What a great bunch of guys. I was cruising around and my phone charger wasn't working. Passed by and figured I'd stop in. They had what I needed, and were happy to help even though our styles were a bit different. We still were able to chat about bikes a bit, and they directed me to a shop that could help with some issues I'm having with some two strokes. Even gave me all the bottled water I wanted (gold on a day like today). But, the ultimate nicety was earlier in the day, I had taken my grandmother out to eat at kountry kitchen. The techs were coming in as we were leaving. One of these gentlemen went out of his way to assist my grandmother, as she has trouble walking. Was in the dealership looking for t-shirts on the way to the Thunder Beach bike rally in Panama City. Two employees were behind the parts counter discussing a phone call one of them just hung up from and I could hear from two isles over. The employee said, "Who wants to go to Thunder Beach? It's just a bunch of Yuppie bikers riding around with only 20lbs of air in their front tire!" Needless to say, I certainly didn't want to be stereotyped because I was headed to that rally. I was in Tallahassee visiting my daughter and decided to visit the local Harley Davidson store expecting similar service to what I experience in Peterson's South (Miami.) I must say that it was quite a dissapointment. Not one person from the dealer approached me after being in the store at least 15 mins. This is the problem when you either have no local competition or have simply "Market Leader Arrogance." I was traveling back from Shreveport, LA. to my home in Ormond Beach, FL. when my 1999 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic started experiencing some weird issues. There was sputtering, and the check engine light started to turn on and off letting me know that there were codes being saved. The next dealer that we could hopefully make it to was Tallahassee H-D. I was really worried however, being that this was a Monday. I've had some issues with dealers being closed on Mondays before, imagine my delight when a live person answered the phone. I told them my issue, and was immediately transferred to the service department and spoke with a service advisor named "Justin". I was concerned that they may not have time to look at it, or get the ever so famous "I'm sorry, but we don't work on bikes that old". What I got was quite the opposite. Justin told me to get there as soon as I could, but not to worry, even if I couldn't make it (breakdown), they would come get me, and take care of me! 20 minutes later I was at the dealership and promptly greeted by Justin. As promised, he got me in as soon as possible and put me in the hands of Preston who proved to be a very competent tech. They pulled the codes, correctly diagnosed the problem, and offered a solution that would get me back on the road, and they were confident that I would make it home. They were absolutely correct on all fronts, I was out of the shop in under an hour, back on the road, and home before dark. My hat is off to Justin and Preston, and even though I didn't get a chance to personally meet any of the management team, I can tell you that they are directly responsible for this positive review. They obviously take great care in who they hire, train them correctly, and instill in them a commitment to customer service excellence that is hard to parallel. The ladies up front are first class. Unlike many of the others the ladies up front are always friendly and courteous making your time there worthwhile. If your looking for riding gear and can't find it, speak to Cathy. If they don't have it she will bust butt to find it for you. You got questions re the running of your Bike speak to James. Knowledgable and willing to take the time to explain what you may not understand. HD needs a James in all of their shops. At all costs avoid mechanic G, arrogant and treats ladies like dirt. As to the new owners, time will tell. Suspect it will take them awhile to figure out Tallahassee is a culture all unto it's own. The website is worthless. If I have to call to get a price on a bike I may be interested in, then I figure I can't afford it. After all why go to the website? And no I do not want to know the price of a bike in Tampa???? As with all Harley Dealerships, put lipstick on it and it's still a Harley dealership. Treating customers as a commodity has never been a successful strategy. Years of glitzy marketing can only go so far. Thus HD continues to tarnish it's reputation. They forgot who they were. This dealership has been getting money from me for years. They told me they would buy my bike, so I brought it in 2 weeks later. By then they weren't buying my type of bike anymore (a whopping 2 weeks), but they took my number and told me they would call me when they were ready to buy it. In springtime, they'll "buy anything with 2 wheels," so just wait till then. Try next month. Try next month. Try next month. 8 months later and finally they say they just aren't accepting my type of bike and I should try craigslist. But they will TRADE me so they can make more money off me (which means they WILL accept my bike, they just dont want to). Every experience I've had with this place has always been about them squeezing every penny out of you and giving the least amount of customer service in return. Trying to get a manager is challenging--they are conveniently always in meetings or unavailable. And every time a manager has called me, he didn't seem to care at all about why I was upset or about trying to make it right, but rather how quickly he could get me off the phone so he could go make money off someone else. Heck, I've even had THEM reach out to ME asking if I want to trade in my bike, but when I tell them I want to sell it they say they're not interested and disappear. So you'll take it if you have something to gain, but even though I've paid you on time for years and come back time and time again and have bought 3 bikes from you, you won't even try to help me out? A good business cares about the customer and wants what is BEST for the customer. This means making suggestions if a customer may be purchasing a bike that isn't right for them, rather than just making money and being silent. I've had several friends tell me about their experiences here and how they will literally travel out of state to service their Harleys rather than come here because of the money-grubbing. I'm so utterly fed up with this place and the BS facade that customer service is paramount with them. It is if you have money to give them. If not, good luck. read more

On the Sunday, January 25th, a friend and I were taking a long ride from Fort Walton Beach to Jacksonville. Just before we got to Tallahassee, the clutch handle flew off my bike on I-10 going 75mph. Not the ideal situation, but I was able to get it stopped at a rest area and call a tow truck to pick it up. Mind you, I have a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 600....I know, I know, not a H-D. With no sport bike shops being open on a Sunday, we ended up staying the night in Tallahassee. On Monday morning, we discover that not one single sport bike shop in Tallahassee was open, except for H-D. My friend rode over there to see if they would help out, and they said yes! We called to have the bike delivered at 8:00, and it didn't arrive until after 1:30, due to a semi wreck on I-10. The service department doesn't carry parts for my bike, but they were willing to fabricate a clutch handle for it if one couldn't be found. So instead, one of the service guys called a friend who owned a sport bike like mine. This friend took the clutch handle off his sport bike, drove it over and only charged me $30 for it. The guys put it on, didn't charge me anything else for labor and I was back on my way home. James Maxwell is the service manager, and his shop had the nicest and most helpful group of people I've been around. I will definitely be back when I decide to trade up. read more

This dealership sucks. Rode my bike from Gainesville fl on a nice Saturday to just put some miles down. The weather was great my bike was running great. Walk into the dealership the people was nice at first. Went to purchased about $100.00 dollars worth of appreal at the counter. I ask the girl at the counter for a military discount. The girl said that they did not give military discount. I told the girl that the Tampa dealership gives military discount. Which is owned by the same person. One nice sale rep that was wearing cowboy boots told the other girl to give me a discount. They instead gave me a free shirt they printed on my receipt that I showed a military ID. My brother was behind me was a vet as well they did not ask him for his ID card. If you are military don't waste your time stopping in this one horse dealership. A couple weeks ago, I was bitten by a rattlesnake and rushed to the hospital. After two weeks of intensive care and one surgery, I was finally getting ready to go home. Unfortunately, my Harley was still sitting in the ER parking lot. I called Tallahassee HD to see if they could tow it for me since I had a failing battery, and it was sure to he dead by now. David in the service department immediately sent the tow truck to pick it up. However, the problem was that I had been transfered to another hospital, and I had my fob and key with me there. Christian, the HD employee who was sent to tow my bike; not only went and picked up the bike, but came to the hospital I was transferred to as well. He came all the way up to my room and got the key because he said he knew how difficult my situation was and he wanted to help. That was once again, above and beyond customer service. Ba cautious when buying a used bike at Capital City Harley. I noticed a slight discoloration on the front head but was assured by the salesman that they "go through the used bikes very well". Five thousand miles later I am replacing a head gasket and rocker box gaskets. Cost...$660.00 from a reputable mechanic. The bike only had 13,000 miles on it at purchase. If you are interested in buying a bike there, take it to an outside mechanic before you buy. read more

Tallahassee Harley Davidson is as good as it gets. I ordered an engine guard from Chris in parts, a week later Mike in parts called and said it had came in. I called him back and he scheduled me a service appointment for the SAME day! I couldn't get off work till after 5 and mike assured me the service department could get me in and out within an hour. Mike kept his word. On top of the engine guards, JD at the service counter helped me pick out highway pegs and the bracket to mount them. He saved me at least $100 in the process. I am so pleased he did that, most places wouldn't try to save you money. Jeremy Taylor did the work on my bike. He had me come into the shop in the back so he could make sure the pegs would be comfortable for me. Jeremy did an outstanding job and I could not be happier with his work. I was in and out in an hour just like they said, and I had an extra $100 that I saved in the process. These guys just keep blowing me away with their attention to detail, and unbelievable customer service. Can't say thanks enough to everyone who made this happen.
