I did not get a recording when I called asking me to press a number, I was not told I had to have an appointment to come get an estimate or that I needed to pay a deposit, and I was treated kindly. The price was lower than one of the other local places I called, so I decided to bring my car here. I paid for the parts in advance upon their suggestion for a faster repair, but it was not required. It did cut down on the waiting period. After providing an estimate on the repair, Jeff noticed a piece of plastic loose on the front bumper. He didn't know if I would be returning to get the repair or not, but he secured it temporarily for me without me asking. When I dropped it off for the repair, it was finished in less than a day. I was having the front bumper replaced and painted. When I went to pick it up, I was astonished and really touched. He had not only done an amazing job on the repair (not one noticeable piece out of place), but he had washed the car and polished my headlights. I was so full of gratitude. As long as they are in business, I will not go anywhere else. They made my 11 year car look new! The shop is very small, and when you pull up to the front (it's a little hard to find because it is not well marked and is off of a side street) it doesn't seem like a body shop. There is a little office door. You can just pull up on the sidewalk or on the street and walk right up, and you will be greeted. They don't seem to have much of a waiting area. You can walk to railroad square from there to kill time, but you would be better off having someone help you drop the car off. Please support this local business!

A month and a half later I'm doing an upgrade on my rig and find that there is about four bolts that are holding the whole front of the SUV on. I was getting text updates that it would be ready in 3 weeks. When I called a few days before pick up I was informed that it was nowhere close to being ready. I was also told I was getting automated text that were not correct information. So there was no open communication since these texts I was getting were untrue. They told me that different texts were from the front desk person. How was I supposed to know which were real and which were not? Very annoying. I would ask for updates from Brett since he was on my case and he would never be in the office. I did not speak to him once while my car was being worked on. I would follow up and was told the end of the week, for 3 more weeks. My date kept getting pushed back over and over and over again. When I finally got my car back 7 weeks later, a month overdue, I found that my screen didn't work. They fixed it but I was upset after all that time my car still was not fully fixed when I got it. The communication was terrible. Many setbacks that were very annoying and the whole thing seemed unorganized. I would never ever bring my car back here.

His first question was if I had the money to pay him and how do I pay? I responded when I receive an invoice I pay it. He went on further to state he doesn't work during the holidays. I scheduled a meeting with him in person to look at a van so he could provide a quote. My operations manager and I showed up with the van. He did not speak but immediately started noting the damage and stating that he was probably out of our league. He made unnecessary assumptions about what I could afford as a company that has a fleet of 40 vans. I can absolutely afford to repair a van. He asked why the company that regularly does my body work could not do it. I said that I was looking for an additional company as I am looking to repair 7 vans within 3 weeks and that is a lot of work. I was looking for an additional company to assist with the body repair work I have for vans but this definitely will not be the company that does work for my vans. All of the reviews mentioned his personality and pricing which is why I was interested in doing business but that was not at all my experience. He was rude from the initial phone call to meeting in person for an in person estimate.

Unrelated to his work, but body related, two months later I had an issue with some sensors that I wanted the dealer to look into. The dealer quotes were several hundred dollars. Because the dealer couldn't give me an appointment for two more months, I went back to Ken to get his opinion: nothing to lose, right? He promptly clambered under the vehicle with a fistful of tools and fixed the problem in ten minutes at no charge. Given my two encounters, you can be sure I would give him seven stars if that were possible. Many thanks J & K !

I visited Professional Automotive partly because it was located close to where I work and partly because Furrin advised that their shop doesn't work on Nissans as frequently as their other location (PAC on Gaines Street). The service writer at PAC was friendly enough, he gave me a reasonable quote over the phone to have my A/C recharged (assuming that was the problem). I dropped it off, walked to work, and after not receiving any phone call as to the status, I gave them a call to inquire how it was all going. The gentleman said all was good and that he was just about to call me to come on by and get it. He was fine with me coming to get it later (at the end of my work day). The total bill was a bit higher than we had discussed on the phone (from $90 to $115) but he explained that my A/C was completely dry and they went through more supplies than anticipated. No problem, I was just happy to have cold air again. Upon entering the vehicle, I turned the A/C up to full blast and waited five minutes...and the entire five minutes I was being blown by HOT air. Ugh. I went back in, the service writer came out, verified that sure enough, whatever was causing the air to turn cold had either leaked out or..well I couldn't say for sure what had happened. He apologized profusely and asked me to bring it back the next day since the tech was already gone for the day. Not exactly a convenient option but I didn't have much choice, especially because I'd already paid them all of the money for the original service. He assured me that they would take care of it for no additional cost. I thought, well that sounds great, but if it means a new compressor, I hope that he stays true to his word! LOL The next day, the gentleman stayed true to his word. They accepted the keys and I trudged back to work (praying that my compressor wasn't busted). As it turned out, no compressor problem; just a leak in one of the hoses. They took care of the leak, recharged the A/C and voila! The Z has cold air to this day. I do think that they operated based off of my word when diagnosing the vehicle and that was ultimately the mistake that caused the loss of supplies and required my return trip the next day. Barring that forgivable oversight, I definitely trust these guys with my orangey and would bring it back for service in the future.
