My care transitioned from Dr. Callison to Dr. Raiford whenever Callison left. At first things were good. I saw Dr. Raiford for my first two appointments I'd say. She took time to talk with me and make sure everything was going well with my health. That all changed. At a recent appointment, the nurse practitioner walked in and Dr. Raiford stepped in front of the open door and asked how I was. I had to turn to see her so I could respond. Is she a vampire? Did I need to invite her in? She was stepping back and headed elsewhere in a matter of seconds. I called "Good to see you!" as she walked away. She didn't bother with a reply. This office seems like a terrible place to work. There has been constant overturn in staff. You arrive early and wait (at the minimum) half an hour to be called back, regardless to the time of day you schedule your appointment. There's no patient portal or phone calls with updates on labs or diagnostics. As many other patients have described, the billing department is indescribably bad and unhelpful. Overall, this place is like a poorly ran simulation. Very impersonal care. No eye contact. The characters keep their backs turned to you as they rattle off questions and write down your responses. Tons of NPCs in the narrow, crowded hallway hunched over their work desks typing and writing, never looking up or showing any sign of actual life. TLDR. Go elsewhere for your gynecological needs.

I was seen for an unrelated issue & later realized I forgot to ask for my annual mammo order. I messaged via the portal & was told I had to come in for an annual visit to get the order. I explained I'd been told the year prior that no visit was needed. I was then told I at least needed a breast exam. Felt like a money grab, but I scheduled anyway. When booking, I clearly stated the appt was for a PAP smear. This was confirmed by the nurse aide. Day of appt (11:15). In the room, aide Tori asked if I needed anything else & I explained the mammo order was the only reason I came in, since I was told I had to be seen despite last year's info. I mentioned their communication needs improvement. She left. I undressed & waited in a paper vest/sheet. ~20 min in, the exam room light shut off. I was left completely naked in total darkness. I waved my arms & yelled for help. No response. I sat there 45-50 minutes, freezing, unclothed, in the dark. No one checked on me. Midwife Megan Chandler finally came in around 12:10. I expressed frustration. She briefly commented on the light situation, and then quickly moved past that and began implying that I was "perturbed" about having to come in today. I quickly corrected her-- my issue was conflicting information & poor communication. She was in the room ~10 min. I quickly dressed. When I walked out, BOTH waiting rooms were completely empty & all staff were sitting at their desks. The waiting rooms had been full when I was taken back. I was left naked in the dark while the office sat empty. This felt intentional & retaliatory for commenting on their poor & conflicting communication. I did NOT receive a Pap smear--only a vaginal exam, with no discussion. Megan changed my medication dosage without discussion, failed to refill another med I requested, never sent the mammo order, & never followed up. Radiology later told me no order was needed for a screening mammo. The radiologist requested a diagnostic mammo & needed an order for that. The radiologist office couldn't get W4W to respond--ultimately they had to obtain a verbal order as I was walking in for my appointment. Radiology staff said W4W was extremely unprofessional & unlike any other office they deal with. No one called me with mammo results. No explanation for the medication dosage changes. Office manager, Brittney Agricola, failed to follow up as promised. I gave her two extra days before calling her. I left a message requesting to be discharged from the practice. She returned my call, leaving me a message saying her mom had emergency surgery, which I highly doubt. She also stated my prescription was called in, and it wasn't and still hasn't been weeks later. Being left naked, in the dark, for nearly an hour after questioning their process is unacceptable. I requested to be formally discharged as a patient from their practice and I will not return. I will also be reporting both the practice & the nurse midwife. They are NOT Women 4 Women.-- Women AGAINST Women is more like it. Playing with someone's healthcare because you are not emotionally stable is just wild to me, and is not ok in the least.

I have a wonderful life and am looking forward to much more of it so I do not find the story relatable at all but the doctor has repeated it to me. She needs serious coaching about bedside manner with patients. I am not sure what she was trying to accomplish by retelling such a miserable story to a happy, content person but I do not wish the experience on other patients or other people she may cross paths with. Postpartum depression is a sensitive and serious matter that requires empathy and appropriate follow-up. I had hoped for understanding, reassurance, or at least a discussion about available resources or referrals for mental health support. Instead, I left feeling unseen and unsupported. I believe healthcare professionals should take every mental health concern seriously, especially when it involves postpartum mothers who may already feel vulnerable. I hope this feedback encourages greater attentiveness and sensitivity toward patients expressing emotional distress in the future.

I didn't bother to ask why she felt that way. All I could think about was "Did this woman just tell me what I should or shouldn't do for a living???" I was shocked & very disappointed. Her comment was SOOO out of the blue - not her place to tell me that. Her job was to simply do a pelvic exam. Instead she had the nerve to tell me to switch careers. I want to emphasize that I didn't initiate any convo about career switching. She brought this up on her own. Random, rude, dry personality, doesn't answer questions thoroughly.
