I had an outstanding experience at the Chelan Les Schwab this past Friday. After pulling my boat out of storage, I stopped at Les Schwab to inquire about having my boat trailer tire pressure checked. The boat and trailer had not moved since last October. Junior, one of the staff members, not only checked the pressure on my trailer tires, he checked the torque on the lug nuts for the trailer and my truck. Saturday evening at 4:30 we were in a rockslide on South Lakeshore and had a large one break the seal on our tire. Watching our tire pressure drop we headed to Pat and Mikes. I called Les Schwab and was told they would send out a truck. JP got there, put on our spare and said to come in Monday. When we got there they had ordered in the replacement tire that matched our set which we had bought from Les Schwab. We learned their policy on insured coverage of the tire and the road service. Overpriced and underserviced. Didn't mind paying more for good service but the last few times I have been there it has been a really negative experience. It also seems like many of their tires are imported. Not sure what happened to change their attitude. Just my opinion. read more

My car had a loose panel under the engine that was dragging on the ground. I am from out of town and needed to get it removed and they took me in on the spot and repaired it for free. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I was shocked at how well it went. I have heard Les Schwab is the best out there for tire stuff but this was my first experience with them and for something unrelated to tires. I am now a loyal customer to Les Schwab! Was here for a doctor appt and got a flat tire!!! Ran over a nail ! The service here was awesome :) they were quick and very nice. We had the truck In and out within 15 minutes . While we waited they had free popcorn & cold water and a nice cool waiting room. Have no complaints and honestly these guys have done good to restore some faith in the Les Schwabs company again, I won't go to our local one as they make a habit out of trying to rip people off . Best part is FREE flat repair and air checks ! They defiantly saved the day for us . read more

Update: She dropped her car off here with a full tank and got it back at half, they drive your car around when your not there apparently. Turns the high school drop out that worked on her car forgot to put the air filter cover and Oil cap back on her car after it shot oil everywhere. She had to go look at it and figure this out herself. They only have 1 certified mechanic who works here apparently but they let anyone do the services. Original: My girlfriend dropped her car off here for an oil change, and gets a call that "her tires are on backwards and her serpentine belt is wore out and will cause the engine to blow up if it's not changed in the next 6 months". I'm no mechanic but I work on my own cars and the up selling of service this place does is insane tires don't go on backwards and my gf new this and confronted the employee on the phone and he completely shut down when caught. On top of that, when she got her car back it was running rough and the check engine light was on which it wasn't before. Knowing the people who work here personally, non of them should be trusted to every turn a wrench or do anything more on a car than tighten a lug, which even that they have a reputation for messing up and cross threading. Called to ask them to install a class III hitch. I had ordered hitch online to make sure I got a top quality hitch that was a known specific fit for my vehicle. Marvin answered and said yes they install them, but ONLY if I buy the hitch itself from them. He says it is a liability issue. Really? I have heard this song from them before. I think (my opinion) this is more likely a PROFIT issue. Time and again I have found Les Schwab sets their "policies" to ensure profit over accommodating Customer needs. read more

So, we stopped by while visiting here, realizing we really needed tires sooner rather than later and ended up ordering 1K tires. It took two days to get our tires; the woman at the front desk was less than enthused to help us. The actual process was smooth enough but valve stem covers on only two tires? really? Not met at the door with what we have expected for many years from Les Schwab. Very disappointed. read more

I cannot say enough bad things about this place. Sorry this is a rant because it was so bad and potentially dangerous for me! It pains me because they are my only option when I am in Chelan. Thankfully we live in Monroe as well so I can use that Les Schwab. First, I got my front brakes replaced by them in July and they were already making noise. As an owner of two businesses, I don't have the luxury of dealing with anything that wastes my time. I scheduled an appointment to have my studded tires put back on, not knowing that the brakes were completely worn down. I tried to tell the guy at the counter (no name tag, I have no idea who he was but he should be fired) that I not only wanted my studded tires on, but I had several other things I needed them to look at while it was in the shop. He brushed me off and would not listen to my list of things. I asked him to write it down and he did not. There was no one else at the counter at the time so it wasn't like he was too busy. I told him my brakes were squeaking but I had just had them replaced by them. He ignored me and didn't even look in the computer. Someone called a few hours later to say my car was done. When I asked about the brakes it was "Oh yeah they are worn down and you will need to replace them." Are you kidding me? I told the guy on the phone that I specifically asked them to look at it and apparently they were simply going to let me drive off with bad brakes. PLUS they never realized they had JUST replaced them. I got a lot of backpedaling and oh we were never told to even look at them but we always check when we replace tires. So at what point were they going to tell me my front brakes were completely worn down? Were they just going to let me drive away? From there it went down hill. They didn't have the parts in stock so it was going to be a week out. Then I told them to throw out my old tires because they were worn down too much. When I picked up my car, that same guy at the front desk would not let me leave the tires and had them in the back of my car because he said I needed them for next year so they would know what size to purchase for me. What? It didn't make sense to me but I figured I must be a dumb girl who didn't understand the tire business. Then he gave me a bill for over $600 to get my calipers and brakes replaced. Uh, no it's under warranty. I am getting the brakes done in Monroe. If at all possible I will never go back. Hubby ended up taking the old tires back and dumped them in the parking lot and went in and ripped them a new one. Unfortunately that guy at the counter just happened to be out for lunch when he got there. The worst part is enough employees knew we had a horrible experience and no call from a manager or anyone to apologize. Guess they don't care about a previously loyal customer. read more

Too many runarounds and policies designed to limit liability and/or create additional and often overpriced sales. I think I am just going back for the popcorn from now on. Also, their pick-up lot is too far away, they need to offer to bring your car up, especially if the weather is bad. read more

2 appointments in 3 days yielded these results: 1 - took one car in for new tires; they said one of the lug studs was "stripped, and probably cross threaded" when they removed the lug nut. I hand-tightened those nuts on myself less than a month ago, and I'm sure they didn't go on cross threaded. Not the first time I've heard of Schwab breaking/stripping/x-threading lug nuts, and it finally happened to me. 2 - wife took her car in to replace a broken stud, they broke the ABS ring when removing the rotor and said "not our fault; we won't fix it for free - $500". Really? We won't be back. read more

Don't get your brakes done here. They do not guarantee their work. I had problems almost immediately and contacted them. They told me they would fix the problem but it would be another $200 on top of the $700 I had already paid them. Terrible customer service. I won't go back. read more

Every one I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. I took my vehicle in because I thought I was having brake problems. They inspected my brakes (and tires) for free and found my brakes and my tires were in good condition. What they DID find was that the front bearings were going bad. They were able to order the bearings and had everything fixed in less than 2 days! read more

My daughter got a flat tire a few mile out of Chelan and found the spare needed different lug nuts so I went to Les Schwab to buy some longer ones. After double checking the size they gave me 8 shiny longer ones that worked perfectly. Did you catch that - they GAVE them to me. Pretty cool!!! read more

We had been driving all day and when we stopped in Chelan, we noticed that something looked different with one tire on our small rv. Someone in a nearby business gave us incorrect directions to get to Les Schwab and we finally got there about 15 minutes before closing time. They greeted us and quickly advised what we needed (new shocks). They said we would be ok to drive home but should have the tires rotated. It was late and we expected we would need to come back the next day, but instead they did it right then. All employees were friendly and showed no annoyance in the late hour--and then the charge was better than we ever expected! We definitely thank the manager and crew at this business for helping out-of-town travelers at closing time and not pushing for us to purchase a tire or shocks right then. We made it home safely and then could study options, but we always consider Les Schwab for tires. read more
