We tried to buy tickets for a show. We often go there for concerts, but we are really fed up with the third-party ticketing portal that Tally Ho uses - I think it's called TicketWeb. We spent several hours trying to buy tickets but the third-party platform kept blocking the transaction because our "credit card was declined." We use that credit card all the time. We then switched to another credit card and that didn't work either. We then tried calling Tally Ho theater, but could not get through because a message said that the number is no longer in service. We then discovered that TWO credit cards had been charged multiple times, resulting in hundreds of dollars of fees. We never received the tickets. We ended up having to actually drive to the theater in person to dispute the charges. The charges have still not been reversed. Horrible experience. NEVER AGAIN. read more

We stood outside for over an hour due to the Internet being out. My husband is a disabled Veteran and should not of had to stand out there that long. Secondly they charged $45.00 per VIP seating that you can't see anything. So one being standing outside then having him have to climb up stairs. Very disappointed in this venue. read more

What a great night at Tally Ho! I parked in the parking garage located right next to the theatre without issue. We jumped in line right around 7PM when doors open. We then checked in which was a breeze and took no time at all. The venue was spacious and organized well. Security was scattered throughout watching for any issues that may have arose. We had the pleasure of seeing Eli Young Band perform. Phenomenal experience. Definitely recommend seeing a concert at Tally Ho. read more

We were going to be attending Tally Ho Theater for a concert but it was postponed the evening before. It would have been nice to give people notice or even a written statement on your website. There was no reason given as to why it was postponed. We found out via Ticketmaster changing our tickets to Postponed (TBA). Many of us were traveling to the venue and had booked hotels. This was very unprofessional. We will not be going to your venue for anything in the future. Beyond disappointed with the way you have handled this. read more

Like that wimpy kid from high school who transforms him/herself throughout college and suddenly becomes confident and hot, Tally Ho has done that and then some. I recall when this place used to be a rinky-dink movie theatre playing movies on the low with cheap popcorn and sticky floors back in the 90's. After going through a makeover and transforming into a performance theatre, the venue books live artists with credentials who rock the house and bring in tourists from other areas to visit. My experience with the newly renovated theatre occurred early December when it came to my attention Tropidelic & Quasi Kings were performing here. Tropidelic has become one of my favorite bands so I immediately jumped at nabbing a ticket and attending here when I got word they were performing. The bands crushed it with their performance which is a credit to the venue with their sound quality, stage setup, clean atmosphere, and accessibility of food/beverages. Plus the restrooms are clean and co-ed with individual toilet rooms; a genius concept since the lines move quickly and efficiently. Not to mention the ticket prices are what they should be: affordable and reasonable. During the show, I got word some people were visiting from areas such as PA, OH, and WV and it was their first time in Leesburg. They spoke glowingly about the town and the venue which brought a smile to my face as a former Leesburg resident. Also spoke with the band a bit and they mentioned how the crowd brought energy and enthusiasm which is a testament to their fanbase and also Leesburg in general. This is now a venue where I will check to see artist lineups. If they can get bands like Tropidelic to play here, I look forward to seeing who else wants to venture to play in this killer venue! read more

Been coming here to see the Reagan Years and as time passes by the Reagan Years plays better and better set adding cool mix of pop, dance to more preferable rock set, i.e., Guns n Roses sweet child of mine, Bon Jovi, and rocking it with Bruce Springsteen and Billy Idol's dancing with myself, among others. Venue has also improved a bit for the better and great acoustics system blasting lead singer Anthony's really strong voice ala Axel Rose to nore mellow Rachel's set as the other members! Truly nice venue and reasonable prices each time. Didn't order any food but drinks we had vodka & water or pineapple were good and refreshing keeping us cool as jammed with the band screaming "more, more, more!, she wants more!" We see the Reagan Years at least twice a year here and I always have a great time, more! read more

The venue has not been updated in years. If you choose buy a seat/table, you still need to come early and wait in line as the seats are still on a first come first serve basis.....what is one getting for this VIP extra payment? A seat with potential obstructed views, a bar with limited drinks, and a mgmt team that is clearly incompetent. I have purchased VIP tickets two times and have had issues both times and eventually just ended up leaving. Will never attend the venue again! read more

The Tally Ho is a fun venue. I've been to a handful of concerts there. I like that it's close to Western Loudoun, but still brings in big names like John 5. It's got a great intimate atmosphere and really easy to get to (parking is free). Since it used to be a movie theater back in the old days, the general admission floor is sloped, which is really nice for shorter people to not be blocked by taller people. Bartenders are friendly and they serve a good selection of drinks. There's a burger joint downstairs that sells cheap burgers and fries- good enough to keep you from going hungry. Contrary to what others say, I think the upstairs VIP section is worth the money. It's really nice to be able to sit down and have a break from the crowds. My only complaint is that they could do better on maintenence. Part of the roof looks like it's falling apart, and one of the toilet seats was loose in the bathroom. Still, I will keep coming back whenever a band piques my interest. read more

Easily one of the best live music venues in nova. Parking is a little tight in the parking structure behind the venue. Sadly it shares the space with all of the nearby bars and shops, so depending on the day of the week, it may already have a fair number of cars in it. Probably want to arrive early. Their music lineup is quite good with many older bands coming through here. On different occasions we've seen Buckcherry, Winger, and Firehouse. Patrons have been pretty mellow, and the staff keep a close eye on things. We will be returning as regularly as long as they keep booking 80's rock. read more

I attend about 50-60 concerts across the DMV. This place is about the worst dive. It hasn't been updated since the 70s. There is carpet. Carpet! In a place that who knows how many spills there are. The building is old, so all of the steps are uneven and there are steps everywhere. We waited outside in a line marked for VIP. I guess there was a meet and greet and was told since we didnt have that, to then go to the general admission line. After 15 minutes, people were waiting in the VIP line again, and we then asked if we should go back and they confirmed we were told incorrectly to leave the line and to get back in. Ticketmaster said the event started at 7, but the tally ho never indicated a start time only *most doors were 7pm. At 7:15 the doors finally opened. Folks, ticketmaster only shows show start time not door time so a fault with the venue here. The upstairs VIP women's bathroom has no toilet paper holder and no toilet paper was put in. As I was the first in there for an event, why not fix it or mark it as closed? I asked for a soda water with lime and there was a communal lime bottle for anyone to use. The VIP bar had a single cashless system that crashed at the start of the concert so that was a fun line to wait in, I gave up and waited in a longer line downstairs. read more

This is a good venue with excellent sound and they book some good acts, leaning heavily into the tribute act scene. My one knock is accessibility: if you need ADA seating for a show, your only options are to get VIP seating or call to reserve ADA seating as soon as a show goes on sale, because I was told they only have two ADA seats for general admission. I understand this is a small venue in an old building but it is heartbreaking when I have to miss out on a show I didn't plan far enough ahead. I guess that's on me a bit, but still. read more

We went to see a show at the Tally Ho Theater tonight. We saw Strange Souls a Doors tribute and Girlfriend in a Coma a passionate tribute to the Smiths & Morrissey. They were both exceptional bands. I just have to say thank you so much to Dave the manager of the Tally Ho. Due to extenuating circumstances we needed special accommodations. I called beforehand to make sure it was ok and without hesitation Dave made it happen. He was gracious and even humorous about the whole situation. He could have easily said no and we wouldn't have been able to stay. We had already paid so the theater wouldn't have lost anything. He just went above and beyond. The venue is top notch. The food is yummy, the service is impeccable (shout out to the bartender upstairs) and the bands were GREAT! Thank you so much!!!! read more

VIP section is a joke for the extra cost. If you are not amongst the first of the crowd to get a seat you get to stand and maybe see the tops of the heads of the band if you are lucky. It's nice to get drinks and the extra bathrooms are nice, but what's the point if you cannot see the band. A little history of the place. Since it's an old movie theater the VIP section there now was once the 'colored section' of the theater, probably with stadium style seats so everyone could see the movie screen. Without those seats, and not at the front of the VIP section, you won't see squat. If think next time around kicking back with a drink at home and playing mp3s is a better option if I am just going to listen to the music. Alcohol is cheaper that way anyway, it IS pretty steep for Leesburg. They price their booze thinking they are the state theater or something. read more

I had a blast at their semi-annual Livewire show (an excellent AC/DC tribute band). Bit of a drive for me but I like the atmosphere. Bar service is quick. Bathroom is unisex and kinda weird but clean and despite the long lines- moves quickly during the intermissions. Note: the standing room only first floor is slopped like you'd expect in an old movie theater. For longer shows you might find that slopped floor a little rough if you aren't In comfortable shoes (ladies in heels will be hurting). Staff are friendly and you'll have a great view of the show from anywhere in the place. If you're near Leesburg and haven't been, check their schedule- they book a lot of great acts from a range of genres- something for just about everyone. read more

No prob, get gen admission... downstairs bathroom is now unisex, like 8 stalls, but unisex.. I'm not comfortable sharing a bathroom with men. One employee let me go upstairs, in the VIP section, to use the women's bathroom. Go to up there again, different employee, no can't let you. I'm not comfortable using the unisex... Tally Ho Theater is my favorite! My husband and I seek this place out for events. It's easy to get to, there's a parking garage right beside it and there are a ton of shops and bars/restaurants nearby too. The venue is super cool with a slightly sloped floor so no matter where you stand, it's a pretty decent view. The bartenders are fast with a good selection and make a mean mixed drink. I love the entrance that features the merch tables.... It's spacious and everything is on display so you can easily see what the bands are offering. I've met a few band members out there selling their goods which is pretty darn cool. Never ran into that at any other venue and the husband and I go to a lot of concerts. The staff is top notch! Helpful and friendly. And the prices for tix are super reasonable. Go check it out!! read more

We went for the New Year's Eve concert with some friends, the VIP section was renovated into sort of a stadium seating(?), the problem is we can't get out of our seats to buy drinks or go to the bathrooms because we have to keep making those seating by the outside to standup, it was uncomfortable, since there's not enough space to walk my foot was stepped on twice. We bought one drinks each and had to wait for intermission to got to the bathroom. By the time we're able to get to the refreshment tables all the so-called snacks we're almost gone! The owners might have thought they make more money with selling tickets but, the lost in drinks revenue. It was so hot up there, due to so many people in close proximity without proper ventilation. read more

First time I came here it was a movie theater. It is now a place for live band concerts. I came with friends to watch the Amish Outlaws. I was not disappointed. Tally Ho Theater has a large area in from of the stage and two higher tiers with the top tier with a large sitting area and bar. I am currently looking for the next concert to attend here. It is located in the heart of Leesburg next to a parking garage (plenty of parking). The theater has the Tally Ho cafe next door with awesome eats, drinks (including adult), and a coat check ($5/coat). I highly recommend coming to Tally Ho Theater for a concert. Overall, I believe the talent booked at Tally Ho is great. We saw a tribute band and truly enjoyed it. I just wanted to flag a few things for folks who are planning a night here, especially with a group, or any mature adults. The most important thing to know is: this venue is really a bar with music. It's not really a theater. There is no reserved seating, even if you purchase VIP tickets. VIP tix get you access to the balcony and a separate bar, and bathroom, but it's every man for himself with seating. So if you buy a lot of tickets for a large group, you have no guarantee you will be able to sit together and you are not allowed to even reserve a section of tables and chairs. A lot of the events on the main floor are just standing room only too, no seats. We also attended a comedy night here and that night the main floor space was set up with 4-person bar top tables and high bar chairs for general admission tix. The thing to know though, is the floor is not even or flat. So the tables and chairs were not comfortable and there was a lot of wobbling and sliding down the slanted floor. It's also good to know the main floor bathroom is unisex - for both males and females simultaneously. There were a lot of people who were surprised with this set up, especially the lady and her daughter who were trying to negotiate the one very small handicapped bathroom stall with a stream of men going in and out of the bathroom. These are just some of the things I wish I knew before booking a large group of tickets for a special occasion with some people over age 30. I hope this is helpful. read more

Just the prices of drinks alone is enough reason to come here. I am so used to the bloated drink prices in D.C that the fact you can get two water bottles and two beers for under $15 is shocking to me. The bartender was super sweet and service in one of the lines moved pretty quick. The venue isn't massive but was pretty fun for a small show. The staff on hand also were all pretty helpful and kept the trash cans empty throughout. The bathrooms are quite small and I was a bit confused on the set up of VIP seats being up high but overall would love to come back to another show here. read more

Nice place. Came here to see the Capital Steps. First time I had been to this venue. Very small place, which means any place or seat is a good one. I did not realize the seats were folding chairs, so thankfully the show was not too long. As always, the Steps were fantastic!! read more

Went to see the Pietasters last night. Great music but one a-hole on the staff ruined it and I left very early. He was very aggressive demanding from the get go the I "get out of the way" so the view for the ADA section was clear, which I have zero problem doing. I had already been positioning myself to the side when this prick approached me. When I asked him to define the area he wanted me to stay out of he threatened to eject me. I spoke to the two people in the ADA section after and let them know I would not only try to keep the area clear for them to see but would stay iut of their view myself. They were super cool, wish the employee had been the same. After that interaction and maybe 15 mins I went to the bar and he told me "go to the other bar, you argued with me". This joke of a human seems to think he's Caesar!?! Hilarious in retrospect and I laughed about him with my wife the next day. I do feel bad for the owner who I spoke with on the way out. He already knew who the guy was based in my description of his behaviour. To the owner: I wish you the best and your venue is great but you really need to address people like this. There is no excuse for this kind of hostile attitude toward good humored customers trying to accomodate a stated request. read more

Unless you're seeing an act you desperately want to see before you die, and there's no other choice but this "theatre", then just DONT ! Facilities for disabled are non-existent, ONE UNISEX BATHROOM, and if you're VIP put on your hiking boots. One of the worst venues I've either seen, or played at. $4 for standard can of Coke as well. Seating on floor is very primitive stools and sloping high tops. Was already uncomfortable before show even started. Unless Elvis, Jim Morrison and Freddie Mercury come back from the dead and play here.... I will NEVER recommend this joint. read more

Wonderful place to watch tribute bands, comedians, and regional talent. Adds to the charm of Leesburg. Beers and drinks are great. We thought the burgers were fantastic. Parking is right next door. Take advantage of this local venue. So much fun! read more

3/5 Multiple Visits. We've seen a few shows here. It's pretty typical of a retrofit theater venue. The main GA area has no seats and is rather steeply declined toward the stage. There is a balcony area but much of the space doesn't have a great view of the stage as it clearly wasn't originally intended to be a seating area. The sound is good regardless of where you are. They also have an attached Burger restaurant but if you want to get food you may want to plan ahead as they tend to get overwhelmed with larger crowds. Also they have no actual parking. There is parking in the town of Leesburg including a garage next door but that fills quickly for any show that will get anywhere close sold out. There's additional parking around town but you could end up with a hike. I would go back for the right event but it certainly wouldn't be my venue of choice between parking and seating. read more

What a dump. Phil Vassar concert advertised 7pm. No-the Doors open at 7. Two lousy cover bands. Didn't know there are zero seats unless you pay for the balcony (limited seats). Phil Vassar starts at 9:30 pm. By the end we stood for 5 hours straight. This should be advertised because it may not be possible for older able bodied people to do this Ladies room was awful. Spend $8 on a new toilet seat ! Seat hangs over the side of the toilet. Sink is barely hanging on the wall. A bottle of water was $4.38 and food was only offered next door. Clean up the place with the money you earn and tell people what to expect. Never again!! I'd give zero stars if that was an option. read more

Cool place to watch a concert. We went to Eaglemania. It was awesome. The VIP upstairs was ok. If you didn't get there early you don't don't get to sit up front. It is a seated area. Downstairs has some seats but is basically a standing area. read more
