Much to my surprise when I got there I saw they had a auto collision portion of the shop, as well as offering a free hand wash upon Yelp Check In. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who had me complete paperwork for the service and one of the mechanic's took me right away. They conducted the inspection of air pressure etc confirming that I definitely need new tires and I was done in about 15 minutes tops. Fastest oil change of my life. Usually I'm sitting for hours at the dealership just to get the free deal but I was in a hurry and didn't want to put it off any longer. The mechanics were kind and explained everything and even offered free Self Serve water and coffee at their mini bar. I got the feel of visiting the dealership without having to sit for hours.

I showed up on a Saturday morning, hoping to just get an opinion about a brake issue so I could schedule an appointment for another day. I had been forewarned by a friend who is a self-declared car expert that this was going to be a major, costly job. In the end, I drove out of there after two hours with brand new rotors and pads, no more squealing from my wheels, and only a small dent in my bank account. As an "older" guy (like me), Tom is from a generation that truly appreciates the concept of holding on to cars, electronics, and other things for as long as they provide good service. Many other mechanics would have scoffed at me for still driving a 2011 Honda Element, making excuses for why they couldn't make my brakes stop catching and squealing ("You have to expect that from a 14-year-old car, sir"), but Tom treated my never-been-washed Element like it was a 2025 BMW. He's a very sociable guy, so I enjoyed chatting with him while he was working. Some might say he actually provides TOO much information, but I really appreciated how he explained everything he was doing, as it was pretty much implied from the beginning that the fix, as confident as he seemed, wasn't a 100% sure-shot. In the end, this relatively simple process of maintenance turned out to be a success, and I think he was as happy and relieved as I was. There are very few mechanics - including dealerships - that I have ever used more than once, but I will definitely be returning to Tom's for whatever my Element needs in the future.

I brought three cars here and had nothing but problems with all of them. For one vehicle, they…read morereplaced a door but never installed the door check, so the door wouldn't stay open. At first they tried to tell us we'd have to buy the part ourselves and take it to the dealership, even though we already paid them thousands for the job. After going back multiple times, they finally admitted they knew the part was missing the whole time and said it was on back order until November. If they knew, why give the car back incomplete and deny it until we pushed them? Another shop was able to get the part in just one day, so clearly it wasn't impossible. The second car was supposed to have front-end damage repaired, but they gave it back with a dent still there and acted like they didn't notice. Then they told us we'd have to wait months for someone else to fix it. On top of that, we also had brake work done on an AMG package car -- we specifically told them upfront it had larger AMG rotors, they said they understood, quoted us, then later claimed they "didn't know" and acted like they made no money on the job. The whole time, the guy John was rude, made inappropriate comments, and behaved like he was doing us a favor by taking our money. Both cars were left incomplete, and the experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else -- we did, and the other shop fixed things right away.
