Talulah Jones is a very dangerous place for me, my wallet, and my bank account. However, anyone I know with a child having a birthday, anyone I know getting ready to have a child, my own unborn child, and all my girlie friends with special occasions coming up should be very happy because I'm most likely getting something from here for you. Enjoy. When you walk in the door you'll see the store is divided into two main rooms. The first room see is for adult ladies, full of all kinds of lovely things like jewelry, fabrics, and fun gifts. To the right is the other room which is full of so many fun children supplies, things like educational toys/games, stuffed animals and even clothing needs. Best of all I think it's pretty reasonably priced considering the quality of items you're getting from here. The store is also super dedicated to being green so they end up recycling tons of stuff and try to operate as eco-friendly as possible. And the staff has always been pleasant when I've popped in. Picture it - a dark and stormy night and I'm rushing around to get out of the office, pick up my husband, get home, feed the dog and drive 30 minutes north to my best friend's parent's house for her birthday dinner... Driving toward home I'm in a tizzy (it's after 5 p.m. - everywhere I want to get a gift closes at 5 p.m.) and I'm about to fly through the intersection at 17th and Park Ave. when a warm and inviting storefront catches my eye. Talulah Jones is fronted by gigantic windows and it's like getting a glimpse into a secret garden. The store is every bit as beautiful, warm, welcoming and interesting as you would expect from outside on the street! I was in a super rush when I walked into Talulah Jones and immediately relaxed when I saw all of the wonderful gift options, and at all different price levels. My husband even chuckled a few times when thumbing through the greeting cards. He's not into this kind of store (are any guys?) but I made it clear that he was welcome to stop by Talulah Jones anytime to pick up a gift for me on his way home... I ended up finding a fantastic gift for my friend and a very funny card. The "gift wrap" from Talulah Jones is simple and classy. I thought this store was adorable from the street. Very Betsy Johnson in colors and theme. I really appreciated the whimsical feel of the childrens area. Very sweet clothing for toddlers. Lots of fun learning toys and books. What bummed me out was there weren't too many choices for the unique gift concept. I was sure there would be lots of unique little knick knacks for wedding gifts or girlfriend gifts, etc. Outside of the cute birdcages and lanterns/ chandeliers, I didn't see anything that was interesting. On the other hand the options for stationary were innumerable. Fantastic European lines. Many one of a kind notecards and such. They also have a line of lotions and potions and the like. What they do they do well - what they don't do, they don't do at all. Note: I had been trying to get inside this store for about a month - the hours are limited, I'd say bankers hours, so don't think you can swing by after work - they'll be closed. read more

I am a long time shopper here, but this week the owner went above and beyond!!! After our trip to visit our daughter for her 25th birthday was cancelled due to Covid, I was desperate to make up a box to mail her. The owner held up suggestions through her closed store window until we had enough to make the birthday box. I read her my card over the phone and she handed the neatly packed bag out through the barely cracked door! Social distancing AND customer service in one! I will be even more loyal from here on. Overwhelming cuteness. Every way you turn, you are confronted with an adorable tea set or custom greeting cards. There is no flat surface left uncovered with some insanely precious baby outfit or Christmas ornament. Shucks, they even have every inch of the walls covered and a whimsical tree made entirely (or at least I think) of paper and crepe paper. It really makes me want to be a kid again, so I wouldn't seem so creepy trying to play with all the toys and day dream amongst the beautiful set-up. Though the prices can be steep, this is quality cuteness. And the best part, which is also the dangerous part, is that you find yourself justifying that you need that tea kettle cover for $50. It's that dang cute. If you can get past the sensory overload, there really are items that make meaningful gifts and are money well spent. For instance, jewelry and wonderful well-made children's toys and clothes. If anything, you just need to see magic behind their doors. Oh - and they have a bird cage of finches, too. I always go to Talulah Jones to shop for my nieces and nephew's bdays and Christmas gifts. They have such a great selection of children's toys and it's easy to put a theme together too. For instance last year I bought my two year old niece a ladybug mini suitcase and then added ladybug hair clips, ladybug windup toy, and a ladybug book. Everyone back home looks forward to the kids opening my gifts b/c it's different than what you'd find at Target (I love Target don't get me wrong!). I'm only giving it 4 stars though b/c it's rather pricey. By the time I have a "themed" gift together I'm usually $20 over what I wanted to spend. read more

I should have just walked into this store, dropped a big wad of cash on the counter and said, "HERE, JUST TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY, YOU WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL STORE!" What I actually did was wander around this store for close to an hour, picking up just about every toy, looking at tons of books and fawning over the onesies. What a great local children's store (with a section for the big kids too) to complete my local gift shopping experience this Christmas. The staff was supremely cheery and helpful. One gal grabbed me a basket when it became apparent that my arms were too full to contain all of the items I was carrying. Had seen this little wonder many times but never had an occasion to need upscale, all natural toys and clothes for wee ones! That changed this weekend - our friends brought home their new born!! We popped in here cause there was no Target or Babie's R Us on our way to their house that day. And was that ever a great find! The all natural clothing selection is adorable. Not too much for the boys - but isn't that always the way. The toys were great! We got a natural wool jingly block, a sock elephant (like the sock monkey, but it's an elephant), a hat (for his morning walks) and some jammies with bugs on them for when he gets older! Love this store, it is full of character and unique goodies. Love the awesome variety. I found it hard to leave with just one thing, so I ended up with a totally random assortment of perfectly adorkable items for my home.. yup, that's right... all mine ;) Perfect place to find unique birthday gifts and fun little tchotchkes for the home. I love the vibe... it's a boutique but it still has pretty reasonable prices.There are a lot of fun finds for little girls :) in fact half of the store is packed w/ charming finds for the little princess in your life .... teeny tiny dress up outfits, adorable handcrafted dolls and a ton of literary choices. Love the store proprietress and love the store puppy :) Overwhelmingly charming, I love the stationery they stock, lots of fun Japanese stationery, and fabulous kitchen goods. What a wonderful find. Again, I owe thanks to all those Yelpers who recommended this place. I walked in and was taken back by all the different items this store carries. They had a wonderful collection of children's clothes and toys. If I had children I would definitely come here to shop for them. I was constantly drawn back to the selection of Vintage Ribbons. I ended up buying a couple yards of this wonderful floral ribbon. I am going to buy something just so I can use the ribbon. Was also intrigued by their glove and scarf selection and their variety of jewelery, especially the earrings. I will definitely be back for some of those. The service was excellent, just enough to know they were there to help me but not overbearing. One note - while I was there a woman came in looking for a stroller (they only had one - out of reach). The woman was in a rush and wanted them to call her when they had the stroller (she also wanted in wrapped). In true service fashion they took her number and told her they would call her when they had it wrapped in a day or two. Now that's good customer service. A great 4 star experience. A little bit of everything in our own back yard. Talulah Jones offers the best selection of home and gift ideas. Everything from out of the ordinary children's toys and clothing to cool little gift ideas and great cards. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Most recently I stopped in to purchase a gift for a new baby, stocking stuffers for my son and a Christmas gift for my niece. I left with a cool baby rattle, a colorful baby blanket, a harmonica, a rocket growth chart and a ton of board books (including Harry the Dirty Dog). Many of the items in the store can be found online or in various catalogs, but the pleasure of shopping at Talulah Jones and supporting a local business far out weights the minimum savings of shopping elsewhere. I really do love this store and can't wait for my next trip which will hopefully include a few items for me. read more

When I walk into Talulah Jones, the first thing I notice is that there is far too much merchandise to take in all at once. So my usual plan of attack is to do an initial sweep of the store and then swing back through again for more focused browsing. Because if you're not careful, you could miss something fabulous. The store is filled with all manner of girlie girl items, such as: Jewelry Clothing, hats and scarves Hair accessories Knickknacks Note cards and stationary Ribbons, beads and fridge magnets Purses, bags and recycled plastic tote bags Gardening supplies and decorations Year-round holiday decor Sauces, jellies and packaged dry mixes Lotions, potions and candles (oh, my!) And a whole other half of the store devoted completely to rug rats. The wonderful owner and her staff are friendly and so helpful. They will offer gift suggestions and wrap a package for you with colorful tissue and ribbons. So shop here often because you never know what kind of adorable treasures you'll find. read more

I can't even tell you how much I love this store. It's not huge, but there are awesome things tucked EVERYWHERE. I spent about 1.5 hours in there staring at the same things but seeing something new every time I took a lap around the store. I found it via some website when I was searching for "handmade in Denver" and I almost didn't go in because I drove past it, but I am so glad I turned around and came in. I want almost everything in here. I got some great thank you gifts for my mother in law and sister in law, and I plan to buy things in here for myself too. There is a ton of stuff. Lotions, candles, cards, thank you notes, scarves, nail polish, jewelry, table top items, dish towels, holiday items, yada yada, amazingness. The girls at the counter were awesome. One talked to me for quite a while and I felt like we were old friends. She also gave me a huge brownie since she got two from the coffee shop down the street and felt like sharing. What a sweetheart! I haven't gone back because all of my spare money is going into the house right now, but once I can spend money on anything else again I will be in here in a second. Ermagerd! This place is a treasure trove of delights. I had been searching all afternoon downtown for a gift for my mother. Nothing sang to me... nothing remotely made me want to purchase anything. I was uninspired, and I had to ship this non-existent gift the next day. I hate shopping anyway, and after a few futile hours, I was ready to be done... One last stop, though. I figured, I may as well give it a shot. Talulah Jones. Instantly when I walked in, I was greeted by the most wonderful collection of gifts for children and adults alike (most of their "kids" stuff taps into the child in all of us, I think), and the awesome woman working there, Amy, helped direct me to some wonderfully mom-worthy gifts. After narrowing down my ideas, I finally figured something out for m'ma... And I know it'll be the perfect thing for her when it finally gets there. Initially, I was hesitant to go into Talulah Jones merely because it LOOKED like it would be a spendy spot, and also that I would want to purchase everything in sight. This is the type of boutique where I could literally lose myself for an hour seeking out goodies in all the hidden nooks and crannies. Every cabinet and tabletop is artfully stuffed with unique items and tidbits, and don't forget to look down because sometimes you'll even find something underneath a table too (like the red-capped felted mushroom laptop cover that I have my eye on...seriously, is someone keeping track of these things for me?) What a fun store. I'm so glad that I have a friend having a baby and this was on her list of her local favorites for the shower. I have driven by many times and wondered what this place was all about. The store front is colorful and the window displays are always so whimsical. The inside is just the same. You could get swept away right there back to your childhood. The books were my favorite here. The collection is full of old time classics that my mom used to read me. The collection of stuffed animals is also so cool, my husband personally enjoyed them the most and had an armful of adorable elephants and monkeys he said he wanted to bring home for himself! Saw this adorable little shop a few times on the way to the hospital while our daughter was unfortunately there. I wanted to stop and stop and stop so bad but we couldn't ever find parking. The uber helpful lady gave me a few options, then rang me up, put the gift in a cute bag with ribbon and tissue paper and had me on my way within about ten minutes. I was travelling from Iowa and I always look for little sentiments to bring back home. I was searching for tiny rings specifically and ones that I can't buy at mass produced stores. Not only was Talulah full of bright and colorful items fit for anybody, but they had a lot of unique items as well. casually walking by we thought it was a kids store but upon a closer look we did see some non-kiddy stuff inside and stopped in to check it out. OH MY so much cool funky stuff. a lot of it feels like etsy without having to shop online and hope its good quality - the great thing about a store like this is you get to see and touch what you are buying. The selection here of funky high quality letterpress cards and japanese papergoods was also impressive.. too much great stuff to go into detail about really, my head is still spinning! I finally came here and spent my little heart away on a bunch of cute awesome goods!! The store is easy to spot, but the parking is a huge headache!! Don't park behind the store, directly. It's not for Talulah Jones, it's for a completely different residency. Once the parking is settled, the possibilities are endless! The store is so heartwarming and perfect for picking up baby shower gifts, toys, books, stationaries, scarves, clothes, and food. They have gifts available for newborn to infant, to toddler. They have the most extraordinary gifts ever made. I think I fell in love with Talulah Jones boutique more than any other boutique in Colorado. This place has the most unique items! Much love! It's hard to describe the kitchy feeling, but a good start would be to point out the cage of live birds on the wall. Finches I believe. A great big room full of unique toys and clothing for children on one side, and the other adult clothing and home goods. Items displayed on bureaus and tables... I felt rude because I arrived close to closing time. Instead of shoeing me out the door, the employees were very helpful. I had very specific requests and didn't know what to get - I was buying gifts for my 3 young family members, ages 3-12. They are all going through some tough family times, traveling into town for a memorial, etc....The wonderful person who helped me offered guidance on books that might not make them feel bad about their current situation, as well as educational games and art projects that are great for kids on a road trip. This wasn't my first time in this store, I came back because I think its a great place. After this experience I will continue to return. They were so helpful. I'm shocked that I have failed to review this gem of a store. I adore this quirky, elegant, whimsical nook of random and wonderful things. It's the sort of place you need to take your time looking around, because their inventory is both thoughtful and eclectic. I usually find myself looking for presents for my daughter, but their collection of jewelry and accessories has also won my attention. Chan Luu in particular. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They will gift wrap, pull inventory out of the back and look things up for you without hesitation or a look of complaint.
