While I'm waiting through this -- the woman coming in says, she was angry about that - because they did it to her -- and then they wouldn't let her in because she didn't have ID and had to go back to her car ... it was not even busy. I don't begrudge the money -- but I won't go back. I'm only giving a 1 star to save others the time. Most of the time everyone's very nice. I feel there's some adult in back of the kids over managing or something.

It's open to the public and, as long as you're willing to be gay (if you already aren't) for at least 2 minutes, you can bring a friend and save $5 on admission (usually $10/person) as long as you hold hands and say you're domestic partners. I'm not confused about my sexuality. Really. It's just my hustle. Period. They'll need proof of your commitment to your significant other. Just kidding.. Really, you don't have to do all that.. I'm just messing with you. You can just ask for the discount and they'll give it to you, no questions asked. The downside: No half naked girls serving cocktails, no smoking, no DJ. BUT.. they do have a vending machine, and a cute little garden area with actual green grass. You ever seen any grass near the pool in Vegas? Don't think so. Note: Public usage of the gym/workout area is usually $5/day I think. They have memberships available for purchase to the public as well. You just have to pay extra to use the pool. And don't think you can just pay the $5 and walk into the pool area anyhow. They collect these little yellow paper token things.

I would have given 4.5 stars, as there is no indoor shower...just outdoors in the open. They do have good changing rooms though. The character of this treasure of a hometown pool deserves the full 5 stars despite the lack of indoor showers.

On vacation last summer, her aunt (a former D1 diver) showed her some dives and suggested she just "try" diving. They looked online, found Cal Diving Academy, and sent an e-mail. Coach Eric called my daughter that afternoon to tell her about the program and suggested she come in the following week just to try it out. My daughter did not intend to switch sports then and there, but she loved diving and everything about Cal Diving Academy. From day one, the coaches and the other divers have been welcoming, friendly, and inclusive. The coaching has been incredible. Her diving is beautiful and she has learned so much. More importantly, the coaches show incredible kindness, compassion, and are very attentive to the whole athlete. Guiding them gently through fears and getting to know them as people. I am so grateful that my daughter found coach Eric and Cal Diving Academy. She is a happier person having found this new home away from home.
