I decided to purchase the Supremo sandwich, a bag of lightly salted potato chips and a raspberry gingerale which totaled $16.95. Their prices are great for the sandwiches that they create. There's a short wait depending on the time that you visit. I was enjoying the entire experience until I found the core of the lettuce in my sandwich. Nice deli with hugeee sandwiches. Now when I say huge I mean a fully grown man will be filled off one. Perfect sizes to split or use for multiple meals. All the food is fresh and made on site. I called at the last minute to order tomatoe bruschetta for a meeting. They were very accommodating and even offered to deliver (meeting was in a different town). I was impressed by that alone. I opted to accompany the bruschetta with sliced french baguettes already prepared for me to pop in the oven. Let me tell you the bruschetta was phenomenal! It was seasoned to perfection! I did separate some, added to a different serving bowl and mixed in some haitian pikliz to give attendees the choice of mild or spicy. The ingredients were fresh and everyone enjoyed it! Tamby's has been a neighborhood staple for what seems like 100 years. Most of us have been going there since childhood and although the neighborhood has changed a bit, Tamby's as not. I have only visited on two occasions. The food has been consistent. The place looks extremely clean and well organized. The ordering area is a little confusing as they have no defined lines and anyone can step up and place an order once they get the attention of staff member, even if others were waiting previously to be serviced. That's the only downside that I can see so far, but the food is phenomenal. They also have top quality, Italian snacks, and candies that are hard to find elsewhere. I remember coming to this deli years ago. I knew the quality of the meat was not great, but their claim to fame was that they put about a pound of ham, turkey or whatever else you wanted on each and every hero. The sandwiches were ridiculously huge and stuffed with meat. And of course they weren't expensive at all. Talk about a deal; and really one to avoid. Well tonight I found myself in the five towns again. Years later, I forgot that this place was one I should have steered clear of. But, oh well. I got myself a pastrami sandwich, thinking it would be good. This was the worst pastrami sandwich of my life. The meet was so stringy and fatty that every bite pulled gobs of pieces from between my hands. And even my teeth were unable to break the bonds of those stringy pastrami slices. And talk about greasy! As if that wasn't bad enough, when I finally gave up from this sickening sandwich, I tossed the remainder back in the bag and realized that the enormous amount of pepper was burning my tongue and mouth. How repulsive. This was a regrettable experience that I should remember so as to never make the same mistake again. Sorry to be so critical; I rarely do this; but this meal was horrible and not worth the expense...oh yeah, they aren't inexpensive as they used to be in their old location on Cedarhurst Avenue. read more

My coworkers and I order lunch from here sometimes. They give big portions so, it's good to share. Tamburino's have specials weekly and all the food looks and taste good. Their price is on the higher side with a delivery fee as well therefore, if we order from here, we need a few people to order together to even out the delivery,tax and tip fee. I ordered the avocado toast today from the specials and the avocado was fresh and egg was cooked well. The crispy pancetta was a bit too salt thou. Overall it was very good. read more

I was happy to find food tucked away on this side! I was even more excited to see the list of sandwich options! I ordered a chicken sandwich with mozzarella cheeses, onions and peppers. What I got was a mess- an overpriced mess! While I appreciated their attempt to overload the sandwich with meat, it became unwieldy. There wasn't a balance of flavors. The shredded chicken was tasteless. I ended up getting rid of more than 1/2 of it. I read a review from someone else who shared they would have preferred a smaller sandwich that was constructed well. Went in on March 10 for breakfast. Ordered three breakfast sandwiches off the menu board. The menu board says all breakfast sandwiches come with coffee and juice. When I asked for the juice they said they had none. I said can I have some thing else they said no. I asked for a discount they said no. Nasty nasty nasty woman says we have supply chain issues. I think it is wrong to advertise something and then when you ask for what you purchased they say you can't have it.
