I am so frustrated with Tamiami Hyundai. Last time when I was there to change oil they charge me over 300.00 Now I need to change my tires and I couldn't fine a key for remove the lock. Vehicle was finished ahead of schedule unfortunately work was not completed due not having parts in stock to complete one of the two recall repair items. This was after I mentioned my concern for this possibility a week before while affirming the appointment. I had asked to let me know so not to have to make an extra appointment. I was told at the time not to worry "we get parts in everyday". Then after being told this I noticed the wiper blades weren't changed out that I had requested and sales guy had to run to vehicle to change them out and hit me for $60 charge... for wiper blades. read more

It seems that the majority of negative reviews have been because of the service dept (which I've not encountered yet) so I wanted to make sure to give kudos to my salesman Ron and Steve K. During the test drive, Ron didn't try to sell me on all the extras in the car but rather how smooth and dependable a car it was. Steve took time as the paperwork was being finished up to walk me through all the features of the car and set my phone up for me. He even met me a week later to get the car washed and fill it up again. Great sales experience and I recommend Ron. read more

Tamiami Hyundai takes things to another level Virtually everyone in the waiting room was confronted with other problems with their vehicles (Imagined?) at inflated prices After replacing a tire The Service Advisor (as part of their up-sell) Showed a list of recommended Maintenance. Little did I know that they had printed their own version of the Hyundai schedule. This was verified in my owners manual and also on the Hyundai website. Went there on Monday after my Check Engine light came on Sunday on my 2020 Kona that I bought at Tamiami Hyundai. I looked it up in the book and it explained it had to do something with Emissions. I drive round trip 64 miles a day to work so yes, it scared me. Paul Niemiec and the entire Service Department team - WONDERFUL! I was also due for my 15,000 mile service. Paul told me about 1 1/2 hours and it would be complete. Paul was very nice, explained to me that with the Hyundai Protection Plan I was covered and the visit would cost me nothing. KUDOS to Tamiami Hyundai! You see I had started out at O'Brien since I live in Ft. Myers and was told by them my minimum charge would be $140.00 which I couldn't understand since I knew I have the protection plan. So I asked for my key back and went to where I should have gone in the 1st place. AGAIN, THANK YOU PAUL! read more

Took in a Genesis 2012... should be a pretty simple thing to fix some AC. AC was going on then off. Asked them to check pressure on the AC - said they have to evacuate and refill for $200 and just see if it worked. So, fine, I guess if that's how it works. Told them of an issue with leaves or something in the blower taking it off balance and causing vibration. Left it for the day. No call to let me it was finished. So called at the end of the day to tell him I'd pick up the next day. So, more time off work. Got it back the next day. Supposedly they re-filled and put a dye indicator in it. Woopee. Still didn't work and the fan was still off balance. BUT, not my AC smelled like a dead animal, which it hadn't before. Strong odor. Went back in and they said it would cost me about $500 to take stuff apart and find the culprit. I asked them what exactly the tech did and what he found. 10 minutes later my service guy comes back with some writing, supposedly was already written on the paperwork and we missed it. They said they had cleaned it out (not completely they said) and cleaned off the cabin filter. Hard to believe either was done. Certainly not done right. So I go get a cabin filter for $25 v the $50 they wanted and installed it myself to see what effect it had. None. Then, just started looking around and found I could drop the fan down from behind the glove box and clean it. Had a fresh snail shell (with dead snail in it) and some tree nuts. Didn't need the entire dash torn off afterall. No clue how they ended up there. Weird. Anyway, it took my slow self 1.5 hours, something they could have done in 45 minutes max. Service gal was nice etc., but really it's performance and thus the one star. They got basically nothing right. I felt ripped off, whether I was or not. Would not go back, to buy a car or have one serviced. Seems there is no intellectual curiosity in the service dept to problem solve. read more

This is a bad review: My mother-in-law had her car serviced yesterday today the battery died at the post office she call Hyundai service department they said for $150.00 they would send a truck out. So my wife and I went to pick her up. Not only was the battery dead but the fuse for the main cable for the battery was broken. Still working but broken. Well, I replaced the battery and the fuse then decided to see the invoice to she what the dealership had done for her. She has 47,000 miles on her vehicle they told her she needed the timing belt replaced. "REALLY" if that's not bad enough the just changed the timing belt at 27,000 mile. You people are crooks and taking advantage of older people. read more

Addendum to my last entry. When I was at the dealership they showed me a dirty filter and said it needed changing, I declined because I can do it myself for far less. When I went to change it, as I suspected that was not my filter they showed me, because mine is like new since I changed it last year and had not driven much since then! This is the last nail in the coffin, never going back there again! read more

I live in Fort Myers, Fl, but I decided to take my G-80 down to Tamiami Hyundai in Naples, Fl for my 15,000 maintenance check. Boy was I in for a surprise when I met my service advisor, Pawel. He was so professional, thorough, energetic, respectful, and helpful. I'm not used to this good service! I've owned Hyundai's for the past 6 years and I've taken them into the Fort Myers Hyundai Service Center. Honestly the guys in Fort Myers (and usually they are all guys) are so without any energy. You wonder how they're going to make it through their day. They act like they are doing you a big favor by servicing your car. They could care less about your $50K car. I am so tired or their bad attitude. If you want good service, even though it's a little farther south, it's well worth the ride down to Tamiami Hyundai. read more

Fort Myers Hyundai won't even touch my vehicle because Naples Hyundai did such a horrible job installing a recalled part. Gasket cover was recalled a year after I took it upon myself to replace it. Got in right away to Naples Hyundai, they left scuffs on my door, and didn't even empty out the drip pan that was clearly full of oil. 6 months later and it's leaking again. I bought a 2012 Hyundai in 2014 and I love the car but not the service department. They said I needed a battery and quoted me $142 installed. I thought that was ok because I checked around and it was the going price. However, when I went to pick up my car the bill was over $175.00. I told the cashier what I was quoted and she said well it is $175, and she thought that was a good price. I said if I had different car maybe that would be acceptable but for a Hyundai too high. She said that is the cost, I then told her to have the service dept remove the new battery and replace the old one. She then went to the office and came back with a better price, a little over $142 but not much. read more

Took my Santa Fe in to have a spare key made. I had the original key and just wanted a spare made. The attendant said it was going to be expensive............... $600.00 plus. I mentiond I just needed a key , not the remote. Service Dept. said it couldn't be done and that I would need a remote with a key. Thought I would check around first. Checked at keymakers and a few Hardware stores. Finally got a key for under $10.00. Wow . If they want that much for a key I can image what service work must cost , or if they can be trusted to do honest work. read more

If you want to be HOUNDED RELENTLESSLY for a "review" of their service, take your car to Tamiami Hyundai. And, when you arrive they'll surprise you by pointing out that no matter why you are there they recommend extra service - for extra fees of course. And, best of all, when they give you a price quote, it does not include everything - so that when you go to pay you can count on an extra $10+ on your final bill. Lovely spot. read more

i tried to take my car in for service..while its still under warranty... for a warranty issue i knew what the problem was and even that mitsubishi has a tsb that covers the problem and tells them how to fix it.. google knows all... but the service writer ,dustin which is the only service writer they have,wasnt even there when i came in at 3:30 ..(he decided to go to home depot i was told) so i had to wait... upon his return i tried to describe the problem and that mitsubishi had a tsb for it.. apparently me looking that up and doing his job for him wasnt to his liking.. so i got attitude from the start and then afterwards i was told if i didnt like it i could take it to ft myers... in fact he said why dont you? just get out he said after my trying to explain the tsb and the problem so i do think i will drive to ft myers for service from now on... which is what i did just after leaving and up there they listened to me describe the problem and the tsb which they then looked up and confirmed would fix the problem and that they would order the part and take care of it under warranty read more

I had a 3 o'clock appointment to have my new Genesis serviced, routine oil change and tire rotation but that doesn't seem to matter. I am now waiting for one and a half hours and when I asked what was going on with my car I was told that this wait is normal. WHAT ? Absolutely horrible service on the service department! I had a 12pm appointment to get a lightbulb changed and a software update and they didn't even touch my car until I complained at 3pm!!! Then they said it'll take some more time. They came back in the waiting room to tell me they had to restart the software update because it "crashed" and now I have tire pressure lights on in my car, these people are inconsiderate and complete morons. Like other people mentioned, they are hot for the "add on" sales. Ok to know what is happening with your vehicle, but when the try to sell you $2000 in service for an 11 year old card with 118,000 miles, you know they don't have any grasp of reality. My initial problem alone was close to $700. When I asked if there was a less expensive way to go, given the age of the vehicle, I was told simply..."No". I left it at the diagnostic fee ($115) and a small repair ($57.50) plus tax. When I came to pick up vehicle bill was $200. Hidden in the charges was environmental fee of $17.25. When I informed them that I was not quoted this fee, they started to pass me off from person to person. Wound up with original service writer, Mitch. He smugly informed he that he tells all of his customers the charges plus fees and taxes. If that was so, why would he had not quoted me the amount. He says he doesn't know what that is in advance. Well I can help him with the math....115 plus 57.50 times 10% equals 17.25. I can figure it out, why not him? Just because the state lets you charge this fee, it does not let you slip it in without real notice. So he wouldn't budge and I left. Funny thing, a couple of years ago, when I wasn't in the market for a new car, I was pretty happy with Hyundai. In the last year, when I have started to think about buying a new vehicle, they have twice worked hard at driving me away. First was when they would give me no consideration for the less than full life from the original paint job (true of all Santa Fe's), and now over $17.25. I had a service appointment Monday morning, 2/11/19, at Tamiami Hyundai, Naples, FL, for an oil change and rotation. I arrived at 8:30 for a 9:00 AM appointment. Four and a half hours later at 1:00 PM, I got my car. During that extended period I asked several service advisors about the hold-up. All I got was "We will let you know when the car is ready". No one seemed to care that I had been waiting so long while other customers came and went. Finally, out of desperation, I walked into the service area. I was told by a technician that the car was finished. Once back outside, two advisors came to me. The one that had signed me in stated that it was all his fault. He had failed to note that I was waiting. There would be no charge. I guess I could buy that if I hadn't asked him and others multiple times about the delay. So, after over four hours, I have my car. However, I received no paperwork. Therefore, I have no record of the work performed. (or was it?). I tried contacting Hyundai corporate but was told I had to deal directly with the dealer. So, I did a chat at the dealer's web site. I was told that someone would contact me. Never happened. Finally, I sent the Service Manager an email from their web site. I stated that, if I hadn't heard from them by 3/1/19, I would post a review on Yelp. Here we are! All I'm looking for is some documentation as to the work performed. My Sante Fe Sport AWD was dropped off at 9:15 am for an oil change, two recalls and to check the washer fluid pump. Fast forward until almost 2:30pm and the truck still wasn't done. The people seemed genuinely surprised that I was displeased my vehicle was there almost six hours for the simplest of tasks. Ridiculous all around. read more

This place is the worst. Customer service, whats that? Service department is a scam. They will fix everything else except what you brought the car in for. Came in for a starter and a fuel guage that doesnt work. Got the starter and service on stuff i didnt need. They charged $890 and i still got the same issues. There answer to all our questions was to call the hyundai company directly and deal with them. Then they said we did not have a warranty on any of the things we found wrong. Airbag clock spring. Not covered.. known recall. Cv joints, also a known issue with these cars. Not covered. The gas guage issue is also a know issue with these cars in a lot of forums. Guess what? Not covered either.. i would not recommend this dealer or a hyundai to anyone... after all. Its still a kia. read more

I am impressed with the services provided by Erica Melchiore. She is patient and takes the time to explain what action must be provided and the time within the labor will be completed. When she says that she will contact me by a certain hour as to the progress of a repair, she makes the call to me by the promised time. I am extremely pleased with the service provided. read more

Had my new 2015 Equus serviced recently (first time - oil, filter, etc.) and it went perfectly. They gave me a loaner even though the service was 4 hours. My car was completely clean inside and out when finished. I was obviously very pleased with their service. It was definitely comparable to my service experience at Mercedes. read more
