Took a gamble with a new nail salon (yall know what thats like) and I. Was. FLOORED!! I called ahead for an appointment and was seen immediately even though I came in a little early. Miss Tammy herself helped me with my Gel X full set, and i also got metallic chrome topper on them. I like my nails a bit short, and she happily and quickly took the almond shape down to the perfect length for me. The whole thing took around 45 minutes and she was lovely the entire time. Reasonable prices, a wonderful color, cateye, and topper selection... Ill be coming back here from now on!! Theres plenty of parking, chairs, and waiting room seating. It is very clean inside. Cindy the owner of the salon is a lier ! She lies. I talked to her after reading her great reviews and asked if I could make an appointment to have HER do my wife's nails. She then made an appointment for my wife to see her today Sunday at noon. Then I told Cindy my wife will only use ORLY GelFX on her nails and Cindy told me yes that's what she uses. All good so far. My wife shows up Sunday at noon and they told my wife that she is off on Sunday. That she called in sick. Then my wife has another man work on her nails who then told her they do not use GelFX, but they use something similar. My wife said it was junk. But the man did a great job on her nails! However there was an older lady doing my nails, I don't have a problem with older people I just did not like the set I got.I don't want to sound rude but she rushed a little bit. The vibes in that Nail and spa were very calming, however another customer was very upset about her nails and was mad that they would not give her a refund because she was clearly lying. I made an appointment for 11:30 just to wait for 20 minutes to be seen. I asked for gel X nails with a basic flower design. I ended up paying almost a hundred dollars with no special addtions. They were kind and did verify color and size. Once I was seen they got them done fast however the girl who did my nails cut the top of two of my fingers with the cuticle cutters and was quite painful. Other than that the nails turned out great! I have gone to this establishment for little over a year. This is the second time that I have been charged for something I did not ask for or want. The first time was about two months after going to this establishment, I asked for the cheapest pedicure and got charged the second cheapest, being told they misunderstood me, but I still had to pay since I received the service. Today I was asked if I wanted clear polish on my toes, which I never get, since I am a man, but I said lets try the clear polish and when I went to pay I was charged an additional $15 for clear gel. Neither time did they refund me or apologize. They took my money both time. I can see the first time as a mistake, but this time when they asked if I wanted clear polish, they should have said it would be an extra $15 for gel prior to putting it on me, especially since I am not an individual that puts polish on his toenails. I will not be going back there and I will continue to inform all my followers and friends to beware of going to this establishment. read more

I'm giving this place a 2 star because the woman who did my pedicure was amazing. However, the next lady who did my manicure is what's making this review tough to write. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and asked if it could be done on natural nails or did I need to get acrylics, which she followed up with "yeah I can do that for you." (On my natural nails) but what I received was definitely not the picture. Big no for me! I asked for a square gel French tip on my natural toe nails. Now this was the first time I got a pedicure in two years. The lady that was doing my nails ended up making one of my toe nails rounded and tried to fix it several times, but I was so unhappy! I just asked her to stop the service so I could pay and leave. Then the owner at the front desk stopped me and was asked if I was happy and I said no. She the proceeded to ask to do my toe nails to fix them. So I agreed to let her do my feet and then she ended up putting acrylic on my toes, which I never asked for and have never done toes because I personally don't like them. I felt like they were rushing through everyone's pedicures!! 10 out of 10 would not recommend. 83 dollars is crazy for such a unpleasant experience. read more

I am so disappointed. I'm not someone who spends money at the nail salon, but had hyped my daughter up about her first salon visit. I took my 3 year old for her birthday to get her first pedicure and manicure. I also took my 15 year old and her best friend for birthday celebrations. I chose this place because of the kid chairs and the pictures of the coffin nails the teenagers wanted. My youngest got her toes painted very sloppily and not every other toe like I asked. The woman was very unfriendly and made my daughter uncomfortable. The teal nail polish was all over my daughters toe and smeared. My daughter was sad and immediately asked big sister if she could fix it when she got home. They never mentioned her manicure and I was done with them so I didn't mention it. We told her we would paint them when we got home. My daughter's best friend got coffin nails with a design. Her technician took her time, but was very unfriendly. They turned out ok, but the white design didn't turn out anything like what she wanted. My oldest daughters technician was in an extreme rush. The tips turned out thick and sharp on the edges, not smoothed out at all. The design on one hand looks like a pinterest fail. She had edges that you could still see the clear acrylic, no polish. I had originally asked for a manicure for myself, but decided against it and was never asked. They charged an outrageous amount that did not match up to what the board said unless they charged me $20 for my little ones toes. I just paid and left with my girls. We left disappointed and sad. Don't waste your money going here. I took my daughter here for her 3rd birthday for a mani and pedi. I paid $35 for gel polish and that same night the gel on all but 2 of her toenails was gone. I went in the next business day to ask for a refund and was treated very rudely by the employees and was told to call later to talk to the owner. I did call later and was able to talk to the owner and she told me I was treated that way by the other employees because 'they weren't allowed to talk about it'. The owner was much more professional and kind, but still wouldn't give me a refund. I might as well have flushed $35 down the toilet. read more

So I came back to Helen for a fill and new Birthday style; and again I got exactly what I wanted and am far from disappointed. Moreover, Helen was off today, due to special family obligations, but she so graciously accommodated me by coming in to get me right because my Utah trip ends tomorrow morning. I can not express the full extent of my gratitude, but my mind is blown and my heart is full. Below is a photo of my original set at about 3 weeks in; I truly could've went another week or 2 before actually needing a fill. Also below is a photo of the birthday nails I requested and what I received. All I can say is I'm in love with my nails!! I've been coming here for around 3 months not super consistent but it's the only salon I go to here in Layton, I recently got fungus from this place not only on my toe nail but also on my finger nail!!! That's never happened before at any other salon (I tend to move a lot!) I had to remove my whole toe nail I even noticed it last time I went and the person doing my feet asked if I dropped anything on my toe as if it was a bruise!! I had to remove my toe nail I will never return to this place again seriously and wouldn't recommend it after this experience. read more
