We used, Alicia Torrence to list our home for sale and to say it was a catastrophe is an…read moreunderstatement. She promised us a big for sale sign for the yard, and signs at the end of our development, that never happened, she had me place a tiny sign in our yard, She promised to advertise our house on websites and social media outlets, that never happened, in the 4 months our home was for sale through, Alicia she brought us one offer from a client she received from a agent who was not licensed in Ohio which entitles Alicia to buyer and seller commission, she then called us with outrageous request from the buyer that would breach our privacy policy's and tried to force us to "see if from the buyers"side, we eventually lost the sale. We did not feel in any way supported by Alicia or that she was representing us as the sellers. She was more interested in representing the buyers and what they wanted. We are happy we terminated our contract with Alicia Torrence.

While I've never used this agency (and thus cannot attest to their customer service skills), I do…read morelive in this area and have been looking at homes for sale for quite some time. Recently, a very high end listing was added to our local MLS. At over two million dollars asking price, it might be THE most high end listing to come up locally in recent years. We'd expect the listing itself to be absolutely top notch, right? This is the premier property for sale here and thus it deserves only the best listing. And herein lies my complaint: a lack of even the most basic proofreading and grammar. The listing agent posted the following sentence in his surprisingly short listing: ""From the professional landscaping to the varied rooflines, stone accents, Travertine flooring, a two story covered entry way."" Quoted exactly, meaning everything within the quotes is verbatim including the placement of the period. Sure, those are great points to mention, but THAT IS NOT A SENTENCE. And for anyone reading through the listing, such a grammatical mistake might catch our attention...thus diverting our attention from the listing itself. We also need to keep in mind that the distinguished clientele that would be seriously in the market for a two million dollar home in Wheeling is an educated clientele that would be most likely to notice such a careless grammatical mistake. While I might come across as nit picky, I know that if this were MY multi-million dollar listing, I'd be extremely disappointed in my agent for not having even taken the time to proofread his listing of my home, and I'd question whether I should carry on with this agent. For a two million dollar listing (one of the handful of million-dollar listings this agent will ever have the fortune of representing), one should expect proper basic grammar.
