Absolutely excellent Indian food. The chicken biryani was fantastic as was the butter chicken and tandoori chicken. We also had the samosa appetizer which was really good! Of course the garlic naan is really tasty also. There are a wide range of menu items, but the food never disappoints. We have gotten it to go for years now and it's always hot and very flavorful. But they are now seating inside the restaurant and it takes it up another notch as the food comes out fresh and hot. So just a reminder that they are now seating inside which makes this excellent tasting food even better! Try it and you won't be disappointed. It's family run and they are very helpful and patient with questions! We will certainly be back again. Remember--they are again serving in the restaurant for a dine-in meal. read more

This is still one of our favorite Insidan restaurants and the only place we can find dishes like Chicken Goa and Chicken Tikka Mughlai. (if you know of others hit me up) The family who owns and runs this restaurant are so nice and the food is consistently delicious. Since the pandemic we've noticed their hours have been a bit more fluid and that they've been booking more private events, but we've been able to check in by calling so we know. Now that we live in Sacramento we'll typically order a double order of our favorites as well as the masala naan to take home and enjoy over a few nights. The leftovers reheat well and it is one of our favorite meals to treat ourselves to. The plaza they're located in has plenty of parking and if you call in your order for take out it's usually a quick stop in before heading home. We haven't dined in recently, but we always enjoyed it when we lived in town. read more

Oh my God I started coming here in the 80s. They were my patience and I'm going again just last week. They're so pleasant wonderful the food is incredible. I visited Tandoori Nites on a Friday night. It was my first time coming so I wasn't sure what to expect. When I got there, there was nobody there and I was a little baffled but the lady working at the front let me know they are takeout only on the weekend. I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to a nice dinner out, but the lady let us know it was ok to sit down and eat. That was so lovely of her so my husband and I was able to sit down and have dinner just the two of us and it was lovely. What a lovely atmosphere. Very peaceful. The food was great.. it was so good, I went back and got more the next evening (takeout of course). I had the Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan and it was delicious! Honestly, this is my go-to in Stockton! Chicken tikka masala is SMACKIN!!! Plain naan or garlic naan! Always gotta order the raita (yogurt) that helps calm the heat! I like the samosas here too! They're little pillows of dough with potato and peas with spices! I've tried a couple of spots around the area and I always come back to this one! Super friendly owners and food is FIRE!!! People don't eat in the restaurant from what I've seen, but they do have the tables for it! read more

Tandoori nights is solid! I appreciate that their chicken entrees aren't stingy with the amount of chicken. They use chicken thighs here so it is always juicy and flavorful. Their butter chicken in medium spicy actually has a kick, chicken tikka also a solid choice, garlic nan on the thicker side and not as garlic-ky as I'm used to, excellent veggie samosas. I also tried their paneer paratha but I wasn't a huge fan because the paneer was a bit too hard for my liking My only gripe is that their mango lassi's don't seem to be consistent. The first time I got it it was delicious and the second time it seemed to be a little spicy? It felt like it was stinging my throat so not sure what that's about. The chicken tikka masala extra spicy and garlic naan will always be my go to here.! The chicken tikka masala has a nice deep rich creamy flavor and the garlic naan is nice fluffy with the right amount of crunch. I love this place. I haven't had to deal with any type of rudeness that's on some of the reviews I always order over the phone. Yes I have to repeat myself but it's a sweet elderly woman answering. I am fairly new to Indian food and haven't tried too many things but what I have tried...YUM!!! I don't know how authentic the food is from Tandoori Nites since it's the only place I've tried so far but the items I have had are absolutely delicious and so flavorful! The chicken tikka masala is in a rich and slightly creamy sauce, the Aloo Gobi (my fave) is a cauliflower and potato dish that is sautéed with lots of spices. The garlic naan is soft and warm and the vegetable samosas are crispy with a slightly spicy filling. ALL DELICIOUS. I look forward to going back and trying other items, especially when they are able to reopen for dine in. I know that pre-Covid that had a pretty popular lunch buffet. The family that owns and operates the restaurant are very warm and friendly, the food is delicious and dinner for 2 was less than $30 with a good amount leftover. I highly recommend giving this independently owned place a try! read more

Our usuals are the chicken Tikka masala and mixed veggie masala (with a bunch of mixed veggies, full of flavor and meat eaters like it too), garlic naan, samosa chaat, and sometimes a mango lassi It's in the plaza next to In Shape. First time trying: Rice was included with entrees which is usually never a thing so very happy about that, saved money and huge portion of rice. It was extremely fluffy and soft and soaked up my chicken vindaloo Chicken vindaloo was mild as ordered, amazing flavor. Heavy oil but not in a bad way, very good for rice and naan. Chicken was soft and buttery and the potatoes were the perfect firmness. Aaloo Zera was full of flavor and packed tightly. Tender fall apart potatoes and the ginger/garlic was flavorful and not overpowering at all. Garlic naan and Paneer Parantha were fluffy and well coated. I would like to have seen more garlic on the naan and more cheese from the parantha but equally enjoyable. Great customer service and very nice when picking up the food, will definitely return. read more

Really good authentic Indian food and you're supporting a mom and pop restaurant :) Food: 1. 4 garlic naan -very good and if you like yours crispy, it's extra yummy thrown in the air fryer. 2. Chicken tikka masala (medium spicy) -this was all of our favorite dish. Perfect spice level, chicken was super tender, and the sauce was just the perfect balance. 3. Chicken vindaloo (spicy) -be prepare to enjoy this dish with a glass of water bc the spice level is definitely a kicker. Although we liked this dish, it wasn't as flavorful as the chicken tikka masala dish. 4. Shrimp vindaloo (spicy) -good portion of shrimp and potatoes but wasn't anything spectacular. It came with rice and it was a nice balance with the rich sauce of the dishes. Customer service: Easy to place phone order. They accept CC or cash. Very nice women who rang me up. Parking: Ample parking out front, came at 6:30pm for Pick up and parking was not a problem. CON: For 3 dishes that came with rice and 4 garlic naan, it was plenty with lots leftover for 3 people. Beware tho that the online prices is quite different from current. Our total was $58.70 but off the menu it was $49.43. This was my first time trying this place out but my family has come here many times pre Covid and portions use to also be a lot bigger. read more

Came here for dinner the other night and didn't realize it was take out only, but the ladies working there were super nice. They told us it would be a 30-35 minute wait (think it took less) and even brought the food to our car. We ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. I really enjoyed the food. Sauce was delicious and the chicken was super tender! The garlic naan wasn't really garlicky, but it was good dipped in the sauces. We've been going here for years! We've tried so many other restaurants all over, but this is still the one we crave repeatedly (We even went through a phase where we had it almost weekly. Awful service! Rude! Shady people! Run! Not Honest! Go ANYWHERE ELSE! I ordered over the phone to go. $83.17 was her pric, she gave me after placing me on hold to total the order price. I had a large party awaiting their food, once I get there, she changes the price to $20 more than the agreed upon amount. then she tells me that the menu prices went up. Really, you expect me to accept that you changed your menu prices over the time span of me placing the order and the 40mins later that they told me to come pick it up! Ridiculous! Shady! Do you have no honesty?! By the end of me trying to explain why she should honor what her worker told me via phone, regardless of her shady last minute up-sale, I was still going to pay, after all, I have a party of people at my house waiting for food. She then refused to sell my order, slide it away from my hands and told me to leave. I first tried this place when it was brought in by a coworker for a work potluck. I tried the chicken tikka masala and the garlic naan with rice.
