I was craving Indian food and my normal go to is a place all the way on the other side of town but I was in the area so I decided to try Indian Curry and Grill. I ordered some takeout here on a weekday evening around 8:00 p.m. The restaurant was pretty dead when I arrived to pick It up; there was only one couple eaating inside. The food smelled incredible though. I was worried when I was ordering because the butter chicken was $18 which seemed reasonable until I realized that didn't come with anything else, not even rice. I added some rice, some garlic naan, and a couple of samosas and it was over $30 for my dinner before tip. I had high hopes. Did I mention it smelled amazing? The ride home with that bag of food in the car was agonizing. When I got home there was about 2 and 1/2 cups of butter chicken, two cups of rice, two samosas, and a good sized naan, so you could actually probably feed two people with this meal. That made me feel a lot better about the cost. The food itself was very good. The butter chicken was spicier than I am used to, so I was only able to eat a small portion of it, but I finished the rest the next day. Leftovers are always nice. I would probably skip the naan next time, but the samosas were very tasty and a good size, so I would definitely get those again. They were also spicy, but not as overpoweringly so as the butter chicken. I would definitely come back to this location. The employees were nice and the food was yummy and satisfying.

More of a newer addition to the shopping center in Lodi. I remember walking by plenty of time seeing the coming soon signs. Finally while on our way to a certain store there we saw that they were open and decided to have an early dinner here. When we walked in we were greeted by a younger guy who seated us for our visit. After that it seemed a bit longer of a wait to have our beverage orders and food order taken. After awhile we noticed that two property working the front have of the establishment. After viewing the menu we decided to place our order for one of their large platters that can feed two people. As the photo presented very well in making our decision easier. As our food was brought out, it was apparent that each dish was brought out in their own little dish which was fine, but the presentation of the layout was not the same as the photo. The food was yes, and it tasted great! As we continued our visit, progress was still a bit slow on the service. My husband ended up getting his drink half way through our meal. Inside from a viewing point, you can tell it's still new as some areas are not in use yet, like a possible buffet station in the future. It is spacious enough to hold a fair amount of customers as there are a couple of buffet style tables and the majority of booths and smaller tables. During this time, I would vote that the food was top pick and then the service. Still a decent choice of having a good meal. As it did seem as though others took a liking to stop in as well.

900th review? Whaaaaat. It is going to be a problem having Indian Curry and Grill nestled so conveniently in the new neighborhood. A problem because it is just thaaaaat delicious and they have a massive vegetarian menu I want to work my way through. A very yelpy problem to have if I may say so. We ordered a take away last week for lunch with veggie samosas, garlic naan, basmati rice, and an order of mushroom masala for me, something meaty for my love that I've forgotten the name of. We loved our food and the ease of ordering online for pickup. Everything was fire. Rich, flavorful mushroom masala with plenty of fresh vegetables. How I savored the sauce. Yum. Luckily there were leftovers for the next day! The garlic naan was plenty garlicky, fresh, hot, and yummy. Samosas were so hot it took awhile and some patience before they could be savored. Excellent. Crispy perfection on the outside, and packed with filling and spices. Even the basmati rice was fantastic. I would order everything again. But. I have so many other items to try, from paneer to curry to okra served in a different way than I am used to. We have not dined in yet, but I'm sure we will soon. Service so far has been great. They made sure we didn't forget anything when picking up, from utensils to rice sides. Prices were lower than what I'm used to as well, so that's a bonus. Can't speak to the ambiance much yet, but it seems like a good place to dine in.

Before ordering food for the famz, I had to check if it was even worth it. This restaurant has a 4.7 rating on Yelp and G00gle, so we ordered. The wait was long cuz there were 3 orders before ours. Everything was cooked fresh off the stove. The aromas had my stomach growling. Hot food perfection! Although, we didn't dine in, I observed a spacious setting with high ceilings, and modern industrial-styled decor. There was a liquor wall (versus a bar) with a variety of drinks. A glass showcase displayed desserts to suit your fancy. Good job - I resisted! Maybe service at the cashier was still amateur and basic, but they make up for it in their cuisine. Well-located, this establishment is one of maybe three in the vicinity, with good competition. If you must, please try their Chicken Biryani!

Oh my gosh, the food is delicious!! I ordered the lamb tiki masala which was incredible. The beef was tender. I also ordered the mango chicken Curry which was awesome. The chicken melted in my mouth. Also ordered the spinach with chickpeas which was very tasty and the yogurt sauce and of course some garlic bread and naan. I did order a small salad which had a lot of onions. Overall, the dinner was delicious and I can only eat a little bit of it because it was so rich and filling.

4 stars for 209 standards, 3 stars for Bay Area standards. Went for the AYCE Buffet for $14.99 which includes soda! It's a small buffet, NO SAMOSAS, and the butter chicken is slightly too sweet. Nothing is spicy since it's a buffet and meant to cater to all tastebuds. Their food options were: lettuce, red onions, tomato, cucumber, raita, mint and tamarind chutney, butter chicken, chili chicken, chicken biryani, chicken tandoori, shrimp chilli, aloo jeera (potato!), shahi paneer (butter chicken but instead of chicken it's paneer), and something listed as "curry pabode" but there's no such thing in existence..? Whoever wrote the signs needs to re-write them because it was in an extremely messy scrawl. The dessert options were kheer (rice pudding) and gulab jamun, but both are placed very far apart which can be confusing if you're new to Indian food and might think one of them is a savory item. They also had watermelon. Additionally there was rice, naan and aloo tikki (crispy potato patty) as well as rose milk. My favorites were the shahi paneer, chicken biryani and the shrimp chilli. I wasn't a fan of the butter chicken as it was slightly too sweet and a bit bland. I also wasn't a fan of the chicken in it because it was a little gritty. The kheer had too much cardamom so it wasn't my favorite. I wish they had samosas! Everything was just okay, nothing was mindblowing, but for $15 you can definitely eat more than what you'd get with Indian takeout elsewhere!

I finally got to try this place after driving past it so many times. What got me in was their advertising for their buffet! They have a salad bar along with about 10 different dishes that you can choose from. Every single dish that I ate tasted fantastic and made me do a happy dance with every spoonful. My favorites were the chili chicken & the paneer tika masala! I loved how the fountain drinks were self serve as well. I do wish that they offered samosas during the buffet! It's very clean in there and the staff is kind. We paid $32 total for two of us which is a great price for how much we ate. This is definitely going to be a go-to place for us!

food was yummy. wasn't a huge fan of the onion naan just because it didn't have all that much flavor. the garlic naan was really good. we also got spicy chicken tikka masala which wasn't spicy really at all. got the chicken coconut in medium and it wasn't spicy at all. service wasn't the best, but food makes up for it.

Coconut chicken, with garlic naan, with rice, seasoned with cumin seeds!

This is my second time here and the food is so good! I got the coconut chicken with the garlic Naan. If you love spice like me make sure you get it spicy!

Came in for lunch and noticed they offer a buffet now. Win win! Their food is delicious. One thing i wish they offered during buffet was samosas, but not a deal breaker. Great spot for Indian food

Food here tasted very good, I enjoyed it. Inside is nice & clean. I went in for a buffet lunch since I wanted to try variation of food but there is only 1 dessert though, and small amounts of fresh vegetables for salad Service is not very much impressed No directions of what to do or what am I gonna get, I am half way eating then someone showed up asking me what kind of Naan I want lol , oh well something they should consider to improve, staffs should tell me when I came in.

Saw a post about the restaurant on social media in one of the local dining groups. Hubby and I wanted to try it right away. Food was especially perfect for this cold evening. We were greeted by the manager who was very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. We wanted to try our normal go-to dishes. They did not disappoint. Hubby always orders the chicken tikka masala, and I normally pick butter chicken, both came with rice. We added on 2 orders of garlic naan. Everything was so delicious. We also ordered the samosa appetizer. We can't wait to come back and try more options.

Mains, Paneer Naan, Shahi Paneer, and mixed veg.
    Andrew V.

I was so impressed!!! First, the use of this space is perfect. This used to be rubios and they did an amazing job with mostly aesthetic changes. I love Indian food and Lodi doesn't have a ton of options. I started with Aloo Tikki Chaat. Flavors were great and the crusty potato base made the dish. If you're not that hungry you could have this as a meal. The only thing I would change is cutting the red onion smaller with the same amount. For the main I had Paneer Naan, Shahi Paneer, and the recommended cauliflower dish which I believe was their mixed veg. I forced her to choose one of her favorite dishes and made her pick again when she gave me the standard chicken tika suggestion. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Flavors were everything I hoped for and their medium is an American medium. If you want spicy, ask for spicy. Their naan was fluffy and full of flavor and their Shahi Paneer is the best I've had. The service was friendly and I was greeted immediately. I did have to ask for refill on my soda but wasn't a huge deal because I was enjoying the food so much. This might be my new favorite restaurant in Lodi.

Good day, Yelpies!…read more As someone who has spent years chasing authentic Asian cuisine, I'm always amazed when an unassuming spot completely exceeds expectations -- and this Vietnamese gem did exactly that. From the outside, tucked into a humble strip mall, you'd never guess the culinary experience waiting inside. But the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted by the intoxicating aroma of simmering broth and fresh herbs -- what I can only describe as "Pho cologne." Honestly, if someone bottled that fragrance, I'd wear it daily. Yes, the menu offers the traditional Vietnamese favorites you'd expect, but every dish arrives piping hot, deeply comforting, and bursting with authentic flavor. The pho is rich and aromatic, the ingredients taste incredibly fresh, and each bite feels thoughtfully prepared. What truly elevates this restaurant, however, is the hospitality. The staff operates with a level of attentiveness that is becoming rare these days. Drinks are constantly refilled, every table is checked on with genuine care, and you can feel the pride they take in both the food and the dining experience. Even better, the restaurant is spotless and welcoming -- the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. Don't let the strip mall location fool you. Some of the best Vietnamese food is found in places exactly like this, where the focus is entirely on flavor, warmth, and authentic hospitality.

Team/staff: they are were attentive and ready to assist when needed. We had a little complication since two of our family members did not get their place fast, three of us had our plate ready and the other 2 waited a good 10 extra minutes. Maybe more organization over how to distribute table tables as a group. Nice experience and they also have alcoholic drinks which seem tasty and fresh. We were seated when the soccer game started and my mom and I got our ceviches close to the halftime, that would be about 40 minutes waiting. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the time it took to get the food. Plus, when my dad tried to ask one of the waitresses for assistance she pretty much ignored him. Service was excellent. Our server, Lacy, was friendly, attentive, and witty - easily one of the best servers we've had in a while. For drinks, I had a local Oak Farm red wine that was excellent. Others in our group had mimosas, which were well received... especially the grapefruit mimosa, which my partner really enjoyed. For food, there were several highlights. My partner had the chicken and waffles and loved it; I tried some and would agree it was very good. Another person in our group ordered the steak breakfast tacos, which came as a set of three. They only ate two, and I had the third and it was delicious and something I would recommend. Another in our group had the eggs Benedict and thought it was excellent. I had the biscuits and gravy with fried eggs. It was okay, but not something I would go out of my way to order again. In terms of value, prices felt consistent with the quality of the food, service, and overall setting. It's not a budget brunch spot, but it feels appropriate for the experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable Easter brunch with great service, a comfortable and well-designed interior, and several strong menu items. I'd rate it a 4 out of 5, though if half-points were an option, this would land closer to a 4.5. We'd definitely come back.

The food itself was very flavorful, so taste was not the issue. Unfortunately, the temperature was. The steak was barely warm, and both sides were completely cold. My dining companion and I were starving and on a limited schedule, so we did not want to spend additional time trying to flag someone down and waiting for the food to be reheated. Instead, we waited--and waited--for our server to return so we could ask for boxes. We ultimately took the food home to reheat and eat later, which is obviously not the experience you expect when dining at a restaurant. That brings me to the service, which has also declined over my last several visits. Our server never checked in after the food was delivered. Had she stopped by shortly after we began eating, we could have addressed the temperature issue and possibly had enough time to enjoy the meal properly. Instead, she was nowhere to be found until the end. I am not sure whether the food is sitting too long before being picked up or if the kitchen is not monitoring temperatures properly, but something needs to be corrected. Servers should also check on their tables at least once during the meal--not only return at the end when it is time to bring the check and collect a tip. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because I know this restaurant is capable of providing a much better experience.

Perfect appetizer. My brother and I both had the minestrone soup. So flavorful and satisfying! My sister-in-law said her Beef Stracotto was perfectly cooked. She only had a small piece so my hubby and son enjoyed the leftovers. They loved dipping the bread in the rich sauce. I tried a couple bites of the combo pizza. For dessert we shared the chocolate lava cake and lemon cake with raspberry sauce and whipped cream. All 10/10! Service was very friendly and the place is big, bright, and welcoming.
