While my boyfriend was busy chit chatting with his teammates during his jiu jitsu competition, I got busy looking for delicious food to eat and found this gem online. First of all, you know a restaurant is good when it is tucked away in a little grocery plaza. Second, it isn't fancy (if you're looking for that, look elsewhere), which means they spend their time and energy making bomb food. Happy runs the joint and he was a cool guy. We ordered the: Dahi Bhalla Chaat - super tasty. Never had anything like this before. It is served on the cooler side because of the yogurt, and the chutney is homemade in house, with pure tamarind, and crunchy bits. The texture was wild, and fun. Delish. Punjabi Kulcha - their answer to a delicious bao bun. But, it is filled with tender, spiced, garbanzos, with onions and a sumptuous sauce. So freaking good. Everyone in the restaurant had one of these on their plates! Baingan Bharta - this eggplant dish was phenomenal. I have never ate anything this delicious/exciting in my life (not counting my mom's cooking, obviously), and trust me, I eat a lot. This was insanely good with the Garlic Naan we ordered :) We scraped that dish clean! Rasmalai - we finished off our fabulous meal with this delicious dessert. It looks like a cake, and we chose the cardamom flavored one (it was the orange looking one). It was light. Like a cloud. And, being Asian, I already don't like super sweet desserts, and this nailed it. It wasn't super sweet, and it was the best finish to a good meal. This place is very affordable, and you can tell their meals are made with care. Just be aware, it is vegetarian here and they don't serve beer. Don't let this deter you though. Check this spot out if you're in or close to Stockton. I wish they had Punjabi restaurants this tasty in San Francisco, because they don't exist there.

Amazing food and service. Good ambience and very clean space. Loved their Chole Bhature and shahi paneer. The naan were buttery and soft. The host, Atul was very kind and generous. Highly recommend this place for authentic Indian food and sweets. read more

Horrible food. I am amazed to see five stars. In the name of Indian food, what tasteless and inferior quality food is being served. Chola bhature had no taste, uncooked spices, paratha no salt even and loaded with 1 pound of butter on the top. Sev puri had old sour chutney and puri seemed like months old with stale smell. Please, please don't visit, sincere advice. PS: I am of Indian origin so I am well aware of authenticity of flavors. read more

Absolutely fantastic food! It's a small place, but they were able to accommodate a party of ten on pretty short notice. We had the butter chicken, two kinds of naan, samosa and samosa chaat, and more that I can't remember. Everything was delicious, and the prices were really reasonable. Makes sense considering it's a relatively small space. Service was good too, very prompt and all the food was brought out hot and fresh. Would definitely go again for a dinner or lunch. read more

I ordered a large order of samosas from Indian Delicacies Indian Restaurant, requesting them to be made spicy and fresh at the time of pick up. They were not store bought frozen samosas. They were made from scratch samosas. They were prepared on time. The service was excellent. The price is really good considering today's economy. They exceeded my expectations! The samosas were incredibly fresh, perfectly spicy, and tasted fantastic. Our family and guests loved them, and I highly recommend trying them. Keep up the great work! read more

The food here was absolutely amazing!!! We got the pani puri and the flavors were immaculate. It had the perfect level of spice to it. We also tried the spicy noodles, and they were really good! Reminded me a lot of street food in India! High recommend the veggie indian noodles. We also tried the Veggie Burgers, and OMG! They were so good we ordered more to go! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for Indian street food! Also they have really good customer service. They constantly checked in and made sure they attended all the needs. read more

I ordered the pav bhaji which was their #1 item on their postmates delivery and a veggie burger. It was the worst indian food I ever ate. The green beans in the pav bhaji was so disgusting I had to spit it out. The curry was too oily and flavorless for any dish made with Indian spices. The buns it came with was toasted very nicely and was perfect tho. The veggie burger had the thinnest and smallest potato patty that if u ate it you wouldn't know it had any potatoes. It would have been good if I could taste the potato in it. The pasta was interesting to put in a burger but I would have liked more potato and could have done without it. it was at least edible if u dont mind eating bland food where the tomatoes are the only thing that had any flavor. Overall very disappointing and I wish I can get my money back read more

I'm going to start off by saying that this review is a 2-person effort. The hubs and I do enjoy Indian food, but we tend to go to buffets due to being intimated by ordering food ourselves. I was getting gas nearby, and this popped up in my nearby places, so I went for it and ordered many items from the street food category. While I enjoyed all of the items, hubs didn't like the chaat I ordered due to it being sweet and his preference of spicy-salty foods. We're planning on going back to order more main course items. read more

You know I was almost hesitant on going here. I was here with my friend for lunch. The owner told me everything was vegetarian so I was scared to eat here. Luckily I listened to my friend and tried the food here and it was amazing. I ordered naan garlic bread and the paneer tikka masala and it was so yummy. I definitely recommend trying the mom and pop shops. I can't wait to come back. The owner was so nice, he even gave us a free drink. You guys will be seeing me again! read more

I love good Indian food, there's a couple of places that I've been to here in town, but I found this new place that recently opened and decided to give it a try, I invited my daughter for lunch, (she is also an Indian food aficionado), we ordered Shahi paneer, garlic naan, Samosa Chaat, and plain rice, everything was very good, Heppy the owner is a really nice person, service was very good, they serve large portions, we took some food home, and the check was not bad at all, I totally recommend this place. read more

I am very glad I tried Indian Delicacies on Hammer Lane. I wanted to reward myself for getting my COVID vaccine booster and saw it when I was leaving the Kaiser facility. I am a big eater, spent $25, and took home two meals worth of leftovers. I wish I could be as eloquent as Kuanie J.'s review but oh well. The vegetables were high quality, perfectly cooked and not overpowered by the spicy and fragrant sauce. To be honest, I closed my eyes due to intense olfactory response. I ordered 'medium' spice and it was just right for me. Basmati rice was perfect, and Naan was delicious, even though I am not a big bread eater. I didn't catch anyone's name. They were all beautiful friendly people. I hope to see them again soon. I hope to bring friends. Pleasant and pretty Indian music videos on the big TV. read more

This restaurant is completely vegetarian which I appreciate! The food is so good that you won't miss the meat. I've been here a number of times but my favorite things to order is the chole bhature and the aloo gobi. In order for the 2 of…read moreus to get maximum exposure to Fork It's quality, ordered 1 12" Cowboy with BBQ sauce on the side; 1 12" Clucking Bacon Ranch, 1 chocolate cream pie, 1 coconut cream pie and a single order of onion rings. My husband called in the order and I advised him to get there early as things have a tendency to sell out. 15 minutes later he arrived in the small strip mall off Don & Hammer, happy to find a disabled spot almost right in front. The area itself is a bit sketchy but okay during the abbreviated hours, mostly 11AM-4PM.. Closed Saturdays and most Sundays. The two big bags of wonderful smelling food cost $70, and I will describe and show photos of just what you will receive. A special note for the owner's son, Big D. The fact you noticed my guy was both elderly and disabled and offering help with the bags was beyond and above. He doesn't mention it but he's still a bit unsteady after hip surgery. My food rating is 4.5 but genuine kindness bumps it to a full 5! We started in splitting the chicken sandwich. I loved the fresh, lightly toasted bread and the fact this small business father and son team source locally. The roll was dressed with shredded lettuce and a couple ripe tomato slices. Two meaty slices of bacon added to the enjoyment, but what really knocked me out and made this such a fine value, 2 huge, (about the size of your palm and fingers), slices of breast with another half thrown in for good measure. The chicken benefitted from marinating then grilling just right. Missing in action? Any and all ranch dressing-I even looked for to-go containers but none to be found. Comparing notes with DH he said his bread was dripping with sauce to the point of being soggy...I guessed when the sandwich was upright on the drive home everything wet rushed to one side! Stuff happens. The size of these sandwiches is huge but we moved on to the Cowboy for dinner. Cut in two, I took the smaller side, closer to 5". I've deconstructed down to the point of separating out onions, mushroom and tri tip. We opted for Provolone for more of a cheesesteak vibe. Generous slabs of mild cheese helped hold the whole thing together. DH grilled tri tip and ribs for the Stockton Ports game for several years and knew what to look for. The consensus, fair amount of meat, cooked medium well, tender with good flavor. I specified BBQ sauce on the side, which was no problem. That way I could deconstruct my half Cowboy, could be a nurse thing! DH thought too many onions while I thought the ratio to meat was spot on. Sadly the mushrooms turned out to be 3/4ths of one button mushroom thinly sliced for my share. Both grilled onions and mushrooms add additional moisture and flavor. Adding the sauce, a molasses tomato blend with a small peppery kick made for a very enjoyable meal. The onion rings were about 1/2" thick and plentiful. Crispy on the outside while still being moist on the inside with sweet onion. The coconut pie was creamy with toasted coconut sprinkled over the whipped topping. The crust was of interest, buttery cookie instead of graham cracker or standard pie crust. Our chocolate cream pie was a chocolate lover's dream. A light mousse touch to the filling with heavier ganache brownie crust. We're still working on that one. So 4 meals, 2 happy campers and even our dogs give 4 paws up.

From the moment I walked in, the staff seemed uninterested in serving me. They were rude and unfriendly, especially Happy, and it made me feel like I was bothering them just by being there. But the worst part was the food. Not only was it not cooked properly, but it was also clear that they had used goods not fit for human consumption. That food is better off given to a dog. I can't believe they would serve something so clearly unfit for consumption. When I brought this up to the staff, they refused to give me a refund and seemed annoyed that I even asked. I have never experienced such a terrible dining experience in my life, and I urge anyone considering eating here to stay away. Extremely poor service. The food does not taste very good. At your grocery store, I was given a very burnt cake rusk pack and they did not let me return it. I got expired juices as well. Not customer friendly at ALL. 1/10, would not recommend this. By the way, stop bribing your customers with gol gappe / pani puri for 5-star reviews.
