We had a reservation, but were notified that we could get in earlier if we so chose. We were seated immediately. We had the fish and chips and chicken dinners which were very tasty. The serving were plentiful and filled my hungry husband' appetite. Our server, Kerry, was very attentive and did a great job! We will definitely rerun next time we visit the area. read more

We...party of 3 walked in with no reservations and were seated immediately in a booth. I asked the Hostess if I could plug my cellphone into a power outlet and I was able to do so. Our server was Amy F. and she provided great service; wrote her name (upside down) on the table, was very attentive, got our drinks right away, took our order correctly and processed our bill quickly when we asked. Five stars for someone that has only been on the job 2 weeks! Today was all you can eat Pork Back Ribs for $29.99 with apple butter sauce. My 2 sides were French Fries and Baked Beans. A corn bread square also adorned the dinner plate. The first order of ribs was piping hot. The 2 follow-up 4 bone pieces were warm at best. Unfortunatly avoid this restaurant now as customer service and restaurant re-design is totally out the door. The new booths design and lack of high bar type tables prevented us from enjoying a meal there. Due to physical disabilities, we couldn't sit in a high booth that were redesigned lately to accommodate skinny jeans wearing patrons or children only. The only other tables are with low strings chairs that someone with knee issues is certain not to be comfortable. The food itself was great before as we frequently went there when in the area whether just for a refreshment or a full meal. With many other restaurants and similar establishments in the area it was easy to go elsewhere. One more down in our books as a fail attempt to improve. read more

Montana's is alright, not too many vegetarian or vegan options, there are few but nothing that you could consider healthy. This Montana's is like all the other ones, it is a chain, so some of the food is reheated and served and not freshly prepared like most of the other chain restaurants, I guess that is what they have to do to keep consistency in their food quality. read more

Having lunch with my Mom. We were sat in a nice booth, but by the time our waitress returned for our drink order something was funky. Our waitress smells like she just smoked some pot. She very clearly smells of marijuana. The thing we can't find out is, if she smells this strongly of pot, why is she so darn grouchy!? I ordered nachos for lunch and antojitos (to have 1 and wrap the rest for later), while my Mum ordered a beef sandwich. My nachos came a good 5-10 minutes before everything else, and were only tepid. When her sandwich arrived my antojitos were still only room temperature. Weird. . . At least at this point, our server was more pleasant and easier to interact with. The host sat us at the bar, I got a splinter in my thigh from the stool, and ten minutes later I was still waiting to be acknowledged by any server. I have to give this Montana's location in particular a 5 star review. It was the first one I ever visited and it was the best Montana's experience I've ever had. It's really true that first impressions last a lifetime because sine this encounter I have been searching for a Montana's that will provide the same experience and have yet to find one. And I will keep on searching. I had the wings because I heard through the grapevine that they are so good. THEY WERE! The location was beautiful, up on a rock-cut over looking part of Sudbury (mind you Sudbury isn't that beautiful :S). The location was also nice and clean. The service came with a smile and was very quick. Plus! YOU CAN DRAW ON YOUR TABLE!!!! (As with all Montana's). Who doesn't want to doodle while they wait for their meal? I still remember the masterpiece I left behind. It was so hard to part with. A space battle scene from the third episode of Star Wars with Vader's helmet omnisciently overseeing the whole debacle and the Emperor at his right ear. I've always wondered if they keep some of the drawings. And if they do, could they have possibly kept mine!? Overall, fantastic experience. Got me coming back for probably the rest of my life. I only hope one day a Montana's somewhere will serve up a basket of wings like the one's I had here. read more

The worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I was at Montana's Sudbury for supper last night with my two boys and ordered ribs and french fries. The ribs were very tough and cold. The fries were also cold and hard, almost like they set it on the counter and were pushed in the microwave for a few minutes. My son had ordered a poutine and his gravy had clumps in it. His fries were also cold. I would have expected a little more quality for $90. The waitress was also not in a very good mood . I am a big fan of ribs but you can rest assured that I am never going back to this Montana's restaurant again and I will tell all my friends. Terrible!!!!! read more

Montana ' s used to be great but again the corporate greed showed it's ugly head. They had amazing burgers with pretzels buns now just regular kaisers that make it have too many carbs. Apps are getting smaller although the service has improved. Nothing worth driving all the way out there just for that restaurant. read more

I made the mistake of ordering the pulled pork nachos for 17 bucks. I'm not usually a picky eater but these were just awful. To make matters worse, they only give you one little plastic thimble of salsa and one for sour cream. And very little pulled pork. It was such a joke, I thought I was on "Candid Camera". A Complete disappointment. We were really looking forward to a nice meal, in a nice restaurant but that is not what we got at all. We are from out of town and do not have restaurants like Montanas in our home town, sadly Montanas was a utter waste of time and money. The service was fabulous, can't complain about the atmosphere but the food was absolute trash. We were a party of three, two of which had the AAA serloin steak and the third had the rib and chicken combo.The AAA serloin steaks were so tough and so overly salted that you could tell they tried to tenderize the meat with the salt which in turn ruined the meal. The ribs were subpar and the chicken was so rubbery and honestly it was just gross. The colslaw was warm and soggy, and the crispy onions tasted like an armpit smells. Would NOT recommend this restaurant and frankly I wish I didn't have to pay for my meal. We should've just gone to McDonalds. read more

Always good food, great service, and an atmosphere you would expect from a sports bar and grill. I have never had an issue here. Everything is awesome about this place. Of course, I love ribs and steak, so I'm a little biased. I'm a regular here for a reason. The staff is cheery and the beer is cold. Best of all me and my son get crayons and enjoy colouring on the paper while I play x's and o's with the wife. Great place! read more

I've been to Montana's once since it opened in Sudbury had the chicken fingers which were so over cooked I asked the waitress if this is how they are always cooked she said yes,,,i told her they were uneatable she never offered if I would like something else I picked what I could out of the inside ,,I don't recommend the chicken fingers and IF I ever go back it will not be CHICKEN FINGERS I left hungry everyone else was full I commented So where we going to eat guys LOL it was late by now so got myself a coffee with muffin for my ride home. read more
