This review is over due and because this stylist also runs a social group in the town is for a stylist named Jackie Suarte unfortunately when I was referred to her I asked her for a shadow root and provided her pictures of platinum blondes. I was already a customer here for many years and platinum at the time. Jackie S. assured me that she could do this and I agreed to allow her to use a permanent root color. See my include messages to other hair professionals asking for help after my hair was ruined back in 2020/21 She overlapped my already bleached ends into my foils and even as I told her please leave the color off the ends she assured me they were fine. It's taken me a long time to worry this review because I enjoyed this salon and wanted to believe she was sincere and went back to her a few times to all her fix things but in the end she was the reason I left the salon. There was so much over saturation and damage to my hair even the toning of my previously bleached pieces were now stretched darker and breaking. She told me she couldn't get me as light as the platinum photos I had taken of my hair before seeing her. I had to cut off my long hair after the process and try to repair with olaplex over these past few years in order to grow some new growth back and safely try to highlight the root and blend the demarcation lines etc. The salon is beautiful and the owners are great folks and I wish I was able to have seen my old stylist at the time but she had left due to Covid and family matters. read more

I've been coming here since I moved to Florida, almost four years ago. I've seen several stylists and they are all professional, keep up to date with trends, attend numerous conferences, and really listen to what you want before doing anything. I have very curly hair and it's often difficult to find a stylist who understands how to cut and style my hair, each stylist at Tangle Me Knot has done a great job. One star off for front desk messing up appointments more than once (not getting the services requested correct), they seem to have alot of turnover at the front desk, unfamiliarity with the system, etc. Coming from up north, I find their prices to be reasonable but understand that locally they may be on the high side, but worth it in my opinion. read more

Upon entering, staff is very friendly and accommodating. I quickly met Paul who would be cutting my hair. After a discussion of what I was looking for, we were off to get it washed. A warm neck towel and then a head massage were an added plus. Paul was very personable and did a good job cutting my hair. I will say it doesn't look exactly like the style I had, but it is close. Certainly darker than the shade I pointed out on the palette book. Colorists admitted it came out darker than she expected. For the amount that you pay, you should get what you expected. read more

Got a horrible haircut that cost me $75. I went back and another stylist fixed it at no extra charge, except for the tip I left. Returned to do a keratin treatment. Mind you my hair is now a pixie cut because of the mess that had to be fixed. They said keratin starts at $115. I got charged $350 for something Im usually charged $150-$200. And the result is not worth that money AT ALL! I am very angry snd will never go back!!! read more

This place is fantastic. After a long work week, I decided that a haircut would be a good reset for my mood. I was able to book an appointment within a day, which meant a new 'do for the weekend (a sign on their door says walk-ins welcome, but I would rather call ahead.) I had the pleasure of having my hair cut by Paul, who took one look at a couple photos, made a few suggestions, and perfectly replicated the style I wanted. He was friendly, personable, professional and made sure that my comfort was top priority. The whole experience was rounded out with a shimmery mimosa to further relieve any stressors of the day - I don't do this often, so I felt truly pampered. Danielle was my hair tech today and she was great. She's young so if she's good now....she'll just keep getting better! She did such an awesome job on my color...she looked at my pictures and listened to what I said. She trimmed and shaped up my style...she wasn't overly chatty which I love but still she was very friendly. I honestly talked enough for the both of us. She didn't try to over sell me on product...she mentioned a few good things that I might want to give a try and then she let it go. I am more likely to stop in when I run out of shampoo and buy it from her because of that. I really think my hair looks great and the price was good too. I decided to try Tangle Me Knot as I was unable to get into the salon I normally visit. Tangle me Know is a very nice, comfortable, high end salon. However, the lady that cut my hair, Jenna, had the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. She could easily fit in with a low end salon, but upscale... no way. Not only did Jenna bad mouth the salon I normally visit, she also talked down about the person who normally cuts my hair... who she later admitted she'd never met. She also hates Redken products as she mentioned that about 20 times. Jenna touched me multiple times on the shoulder, arm, and thigh when talking to me. No respect for person space at all. She also spent 95% of the appointment talking about herself. I will say this though, she did a decent haircut. However, I will NEVER allow her to spend any time with me or my hair in the future. But again, the salon is nice. They even offer you an adult beverage to enjoy while you're having your service done. Just avoid Jenna unless you enjoy spending time with self absorbed people. read more

I had my hair done by Paul. He did an excellent job. I loved my hair when he finished and that rarely happens when I go to get my hair done, so I avoid having it done until I can't stand it anymore. He did exactly what I wanted and gave me advice on care, etc. he's definitely a keeper for cuts and color. I even booked my next appointment. The staff was awesome as well. I explained to Paul my issues... He was very helpful giving me solutions on what I can do to help my hair grow. I've been to at least 4 hair salons in the area & this is the first stylist that actually knows how to style curly hair!! He didn't leave it frizzy (as most stylist have left my hair), he listened to my requests, and he even had a trick he showed me to add volume. Charlene is amazing, and sweet as can be. Everyone's friendly. I trust them completely. I leave thrilled with my cuts!! That's never been the case for me anywhere else. I went in as a walk in to get my hair done. The receptionist at the desk was so nice to fit me in to their schedule same day. I had to wait a couple hours but I just went next door to get my nails done. Anyways when I got back to the salon Jessica took care of my hair. She was so sweet and really did exactly what I asked. I showed her pictures and told her I wanted to keep my length and needed a freshen up as I am growing my hair out. When I first moved to the Apollo Beach area, I found a salon that I thought was great, but after a few months, the quality of care I received went downhill, my color became brassy, my hair was becoming damaged and unmanageable. Then someone suggested that I try Tangle Me Knot. My first impression was a very good one. The staff was friendly, they offered me a nice beverage and I had a consultation for what would be best for my hair while, they were learning what I wanted for my hair and from my stylist. They colored, foiled, conditioned and cut my hair to help it get back to a healthier look and feel. I felt amazing when I left, the color was beautiful and natural looking ( not brassy)the trim and style were exactly what I had been wanting since moving to Florida 2 years earlier. After going to them for a few months, I wanted to change it up a bit for the upcoming halloween parties that I planned on attending and I asked if they could do extensions. Could They? Well yes they could. They have stylists that are certified in hair extensions so I opted for the fusion style over the I-tips (whatever those terms meant was beyond me) as I wanted them to last as long as possible. I had NO idea what to expect. We picked the length and colors that would look most natural, we chose wavy extensions so they would blend more with my natural hair motion. I paid the deposit and scheduled my appointment and anxiously waited their arrival. My appointment for my extensions was amazing. My stylist, Charlene, explained the entire process to me, made me comfortable, offered me a beverage and away we went, adding gorgeous different shades of blonde to my hair. When they were done, no one, and I mean no one (even my husband) could tell that it wasnt my real hair. These extensions were placed in my hair on October 15, 2015 and as of todays post, I still have extensions in my hair. Now, they have been removed, moved up and or replaced, but I still have them and still love them. I know that other extensions have been purchased and I don't really care what they are using as even though it is natural human hair, there is no guarantee that each batch will be exactly the same as the last, as each persons hair is different, but even with that, no one can tell. Now, I must say that Charlene mentioned that I needed to be careful with them, don't pull on them, use a certain brush, be cautious when shampooing and conditioning, but this is all common sense anyway... I know this is a long drawn out review, but many do not post positive things for others to read so I was going to be the different ones. I love Tangle Me Knot and I love the staff, the fact that everyone strives for excellence, goes and takes the extra time for further education, certifications for extensions, and straighteners and the exclusive color line and products have done wonders for my hair. They may not be everyone's salon or even your salon but they are certainly MY salon!!!!. Thank you to everyone at Tangle Me Knot for making me feel like family and taking such good care of my messy, wavy humid plagued hair.
