I am so grateful for my stylist, Tara. She does a great job with my cut and color. I love my time at the salon.

Okay, so I hesitated on writing this however, this is MY experience and every girl knows how expensive hair is, so here goes.. I found this salon as it is in my area and when I first arrived I requested someone that is a MASTER at blonde hair. I was very particular and YES picky. Blonde hair is an art. I was paired with one of the stylists and I believe higher ups at this salon, however I won't name names out of respect. On the first visit I had a great experience, she was very personable and listened to what I wanted. I came in with a picture and showed her. The pic was of a shadow root and lighter/more natural towards the ends. She nailed that. However as time when on I became a little upset that I was paying a very high price and the entire time, other than the foil placements, I was with an assistant. This includes the wash and the dry. Meanwhile she was seeing other clients. I truly believe that getting your hair done is a personal experience and that if you're paying for someone who is a master at certain things, then they should be tending to you the entire time. Maybe not ALL the time if they need to slip in a quick cut or whatever. As the seasons changed I told her that I wanted a BRIGHT bleach platinum blonde. I showed her realistic photos of what I meant and I HAVE always had bright blonde. The photos were of my OLD hair before coming here. It just wasn't happening. I couldn't figure out if her formulas were off, she played it too safe or she just wasn't listening, I don't know but I eventually got fed up. I was spending in the $300s (which I have shoulder length hair) and then I felt guilty because of course tips are the norm... but I was tipping the main stylist for work I wasn't happy with on top of the assistant doing all the work. I was told I had "blonde blindness" which I felt a little offended by as I have ALWAYS had blonde hair. I am not a newbie at this. As all of this was happening I noticed the health of my hair declining badly. I noticed breakage all around my face and the ends felt like straw even with using purology and other good brands at home. I was surprised that the hair was so brittle and I wasn't even as blonde as I use to be. I finally found an amazing stylist locally who nailed what I had been asking for all along. She told me that a ton of my hair had broken off and that the damage was from overlapping of foils, which is a no no apparently. I cannot speak for any other stylists in the salon and the atmosphere is very clean and inviting. For me, I let my feelings ride at first about not having the stylist tend to me because if the work was great then fine. But all in all, I wasn't happy. Attached is a photo the new stylist took of all the breakage. In conclusion if you're seeking BRIGHT, platinum type blonde, this may not be the salon for you. read more

There are good stylists here, but also some VERY bad ones. I went in asking for a minimal amount of blonde/butterscotch highlights. When she removed the foils, I had huge streaks of orange. I immediately said "oh no, that's not right" and she said "I know, its so pretty" I went home and returned an hour later asking for it to be fixed. she put toner on it to make it less orange, but still very orange. I went to another salon to see if it could be fixed correctly. The orange comes back every few weeks and I am so embarrassed. I called the manager, and got the answer that I expected. "We can't do anything for you because too much time has passed" So now here I sit wearing a ponytail and a hat every day. read more

The stylist and the actual service were okay, but I was very disappointed with the pricing. I only received a trim, with very little hair actually taken off, and was still charged $50 for the cut. I've been to several other salons and have never experienced this for such a minimal trim. I recently moved to the area and chose this salon to avoid traveling back to Clearwater. When I called to ask about the pricing, I was told the cost included product and blow-drying, which was confusing since I had already spent over $200 on services and expected those to be included. Overall, the pricing did not feel transparent or reasonable for what was provided. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, but I hope this feedback helps improve clarity for future clients. read more

Abby was absolutely amazing. I have curly hair and just went in for a women's haircut, normally after the cut I never get it blow dried due to the frizz and just styled which is normally a quick and minimal effort thing which I normally have to style again with my own products at home. Abby is the first person to actually take the time and style my hair the way it should be and recommend amazing products that makes my hair look and feel amazing. Just moved to the area and decided to book an appointment (foil highlights and trim) based on Yelp review, I was not disappointed and am super happy with my experience and will be back! I called and explained what I wanted done and the receptionist made the appointment with Anahi (Ana), perfect match! Ana took her time and asked questions before starting, making sure of how I wanted my hair foiled and trimmed, she also explained what she was doing every step (loved that) end result was Exactly the way I wanted my hair done!! The Beauty Lounge salon space is beautiful, newly decorated and upscale, they have robes for clients, offer beverages, great shampoo stations with foot stools (very comfy) and super clean. Came here while visiting family and seeing if the area would be a good fit for relocation. I desperately needed a haircut and called for an appointment. Was thrilled when they would be able to fit me in and also asked if I could come in for a consultation. Everyone is nice and courteous. During my consultation, I was informed the color I wanted would not be possible, which is fair since I know how dark my hair is. A sample of hair was taken to test and on the day of my appointment, my stylist also mentioned what I wanted wasn't possible. Idealistically I wanted a silver, ash tone (pic) for balayage, so I was indecisive with the ash options provided or red (red is something I commonly pick). After bleaching, my stylist gave me more hope as she said it got lighter than expected and said I could get a shade darker than what I wanted. Which I was thrilled about after reconfirming by pulling out the example pic again. I also showed an example of the style of layering that I wanted and for the ends of my hair to be in a "V" shape (pic), my go to style since I have thick hair, but still wanted to keep it semi long. The whole balayage process took at least 3-4hrs, which is not uncommon to me when I want more than just a cut and I have to admit, it's been awhile since I went to a salon. Refreshments was offered and my stylist was kind during this visit. As we were nearing the end, they had already closed, which I felt bad about. The haircut did not take long at all and I was skeptical, layering my hair usually took longer everywhere else. We were all still focused on how my color came out and I am no professional hair stylist, so I accepted the praise of the color end results. If they weren't already closed, I would have asked about my layers and "V" shape ends. I truly enjoyed my visit, but over a month later, I do not like my hair. This is honestly the worse haircut I have received. I am content with the color, I understand I need to go back to a salon to achieve the color I want, but I honestly don't even look at my hair or attempt to style it. It is choppy and in chunks even when I put it into a ponytail and it truly makes me want to cry. When usually if layered correctly, my hair gradually gets thinner towards the end. I have provided pics. I truly contemplated this review because I have so much mixed emotions about it, but in the end, I did pay $400 and believe I should be able to share my experience. The salon is clean and staff is nice, but my haircut honestly leaves me quite depressed. read more

I booked a session with Ana to curl my hair for my maternity photos. I was worried about how long it would take due to having long, thick hair. Not only was Ana quick and efficient but it also looked so good! I never do my hair so was legit obsessed and in awe! in total i was in and out in just under an hour with a wash, dry, and full head of looser curls. Ana even recommended keeping my front pieces pinned back to make them last until my photos almost 3 hours later. 10/10 recommend! read more

Eileen has been my stylists for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else! I have super straight thick hair that is very difficult to cut. She takes the necessary time and care to make sure that my cut looks marvelous. She's done everything from a short pixie on me to help in growing it out. Her new salon is gorgeous and her staff is wonderful.
