I go to Peter and he will always be my go-to. He gives you insight on the condition of your hair, what kind of products you should use, and teaches you how to style your own hair at home to make it easy for you to upkeep. He also recommended styles that fit with my hair's texture and length, and what looks best for my face. I like that they also don't oversell you on the products they use - they know the products they have are on the more expensive side. The service you get here is great - there's someone to help take your jacket and put it away, and the brief head massages you get while they wash your hair is heavenly! Backstory: I've gone to 2-3 hair salons in the recent couple of months in search of a new go to for managing my thick, wavy, heavy... sometimes curly hair. Each time, I was not happy within a week of walking out of the salon. Within a couple of weeks of the last salon experience, I was searching Yelp for another salon to try when I came across Hair Zzaplon's reviews, website, etc. I was intrigued by Kim's philosophy and I-come-to-you concept. So what they hey, lets try this thing. The Kim experience started a couple of days before our appointment. Via text and email we discussed the various pros and cons of the different hairstyles I was tempted to attempt. In the end, by the time of our appointment - I was 100% sure what I wanted to do. In that time, Kim was a fantastic resource telling me what she recommended based on a photo I sent to her as well as giving me all the options and not being pushy or opinionated when I wavered. She is incredibly knowledgeable on hair color as well and can recommend paths to maintenance! So day of - Kim arrived carrying two massively heavy looking boxes & a vacuum cleaner. She cut my hair in the kitchen and made sure I was happy with the end result. I was happy. I'm still happy. I'll be calling her again when I'm due for my next haircut. Thank you Kim!

I had never been before but the pictures of their work online looked nice enough and honestly I just wanted somewhere close to home to get it done. I was never told how to have my hair ready pre appointment in order for things to move quicker.....I had to call the salon and ask myself if I needed to arrive with wet hair or hair that had been washed. Receptionist was rude and just said well we are not going to blow dry it, you just paying for a style - which cost me $80 to begin with, then $100 at the end with tax and tip. The put me with a stylist which they labelled an"intermediate" and they charge according to this. I honestly didn't feel like she knew what she was doing so didn't feel confident at all from the get go. She barely put any product in my hair to keep if from frizzing up or holding the curl. I even asked for extra hairspray at the end to keep everything in place. At the end of the hour, my very basic half up hairstyle cost me $100 and by the time I left the salon and went to the event my hair lost all curl and was a frizzy mess! I am beyond disappointed with this place. Wouldn't recommend as their prices and work they provide are really a form of stealing!
