They were very kind and let me know I was next. Lily ended up helping me, and she was amazing. She was so attentive and apologetic about the wait, even though it was really my own time crunch. She took her time and paid so much attention to detail with my nails. I was asked if anyone could do my pedicure and I told them I didn't mind another doing that service. When I got there for my appointment, they asked made sure I could have anyone do both services and I said that I had scheduled the manicure with Kim and pedicure with whoever was free. They said okay and had me start with the pedicure. The woman was nice and I was happy with the service. When it came time for my gel manicure, the same woman (not Kim) started doing my nails and I told her twice that I scheduled with Kim and she just said okay both times (I think there was a language barrier with her). I basically gave up on the fact that I wouldn't have my manicure done by Kim. The woman that did my nails had to call over someone else to fix the shaping of my nails at one point (I wanted almond and the tip was heavily to the left on a couple of nails). The salon looks nice inside, seems clean, and I think I would have been really happy had I had the service with who I asked for. My manicure is fine (some bumps and some overlap on my cuticles). I think if you are just looking for an everyday manicure or pedicure, you'll likely be happy here.

I really wanted to like Zodiac Nails Spa because the staff is super friendly and it's a younger…read moreteam of talented girls -- but my experience just didn't match the expectations at all. Before booking, I specifically asked over the phone if they had nail techs who could do designs. I was told all of them are artists, which made me feel confident going in. But once I sat down, the first thing they did was start criticizing my previous set -- saying the shape and how they came off my nails was "wild" and that I'd see a huge difference if I started coming there. That immediately felt off. I picked a pretty simple marble design, nothing complicated. What I got was honestly the worst marble I've ever seen -- it looked nothing like the reference photo I showed. I spoke up and said it didn't look like marble at all, and instead of adjusting, the tech just kept going. The owner, who was actually very kind, noticed I wasn't happy and had someone else redo it. The second tech did a much better job on the design, but completely changed the shape of my nails. I asked for a narrow square and left with coffin. At that point, after being there for 3.5 hours, I didn't even have the energy to say anything else. I paid about $300 for a Gel-X full set and gel pedicure. Not even a week later, two nails popped off. I went back to get them fixed -- no big deal -- but they had a different tech do it, and those two nails looked completely different from the rest. Within another week, two more nails popped off. At that point, it felt like my money was completely wasted. When I finally had the rest of the set removed, I was honestly shocked at the condition of my natural nails. I've never seen them like that. It's been almost two months, and they're still recovering -- brittle, damaged, and parts of my natural nail were literally lifted from the nail bed. I'm writing this after looking at my nails today and feeling genuinely sad because they were long, strong, and healthy before this appointment. I will say the owner was kind and tried to help in the moment, but overall the quality, consistency, and longevity just weren't there -- especially for the price. The only reason I'm rating 3 stars and not 2 -- is because possibly the other nail techs could be better. I just will not be going back to find out
