This is my favorite place to get my nails done. I like to grow my natural nails and get the regular gel manicure when I go and they are so wonderful about not filing my nails down too much when they remove the gel so my nails stay strong and don't break. They are also very meticulous with polishing and shaping. I don't personally get fancy designs but they do those as well so if you have a picture from the internet they will also make it happen. read more

I got my nails done by the gentleman that sits by the door. I called and they got me in the same day and I was thankful since this was my first time. I am new to the area and I'm looking for a really good nail tech and this one was the worst of all 4 of the ones I've tried. After 3 days my gel no chip started chipping which NEVER happens. I couldn't go back because I was out of town. My nails normally last 3 weeks and this is after 1 1/2 weeks. I gave a good tip and I'm extremely disappointed. I will never go back here again. Used to love this place would go every 2 weeks The last few times I've gone, I've had to wait in cold water for over 45min for a pedicure. Another time, I called and they said they aren't busy, so come in anytime- I get there and waited nearly an hour to get my pedicure started. Took THREE hours total for a pedicure and full set. Absolutely ridiculous. Not only that, but the tech messed up my nails before a huge overseas vacation. I had to find a place open before work during the week for a total fix. Went to Pierpont and they spoke English, had a beautiful salon, and knew exactly what I was trying to achieve(which was basic), and they have an online scheduling system which allows you to walk right in to your preferred nail tech without a wait. You get what you pay for- I think NW just got too busy and cannot handle their overwhelming amount of clientele, which forces them to lack quality in their work. read more

I am a mani/pedi newbie whose first recent experience at another salon was pleasant and proficient enough for me to return. The nail tech was not taking anymore clients today; I was pushed into an isolated corner station in front with a male nail tech who seemed tense: I split and looked up local nail salons... Then I found Nail Works! In spite of being a small space with limited staff, the atmosphere was not only cozy it was inviting and with a personal touch of elegance about the place. Danny complimented my previous nail tech's work and guided me into selecting a similar natural tone polish. Not only did he take over the previous design, he customized it to better fit my natural nail curves. I am especially satisfied with his subtle application and skilled tapering of the nail bed fillings. A little shimmer perfected the finish. I went for it and also received a pedicure. His foot and leg massage were a much needed treat, I highly recommend it! I was a walk in who called in advance to see if they had time. Reception was accommodating and polite. Overall it's a win/win situation to a last minute change of plans. I'm coming back... to Danny and/or anyone here. Looks like they take pride in their work and it shows! read more

Iv been coming to this nail salon for years. Iv never been disappointed. They are closed on Mondays, appointments are taken throughout the week, but Sundays are walk ins only. You can't miss it, because there's a weinersnitzel next door, car wash, and a dive bar in the same shopping center. The people here are nice and friendly. They are expedient as well. Even though they are busy, they don't take it out on you, by being rough. You can relax her and enjoy the massage chairs. The place is busy and there's usually plenty of parking. Yes, the area and ambiance is with the bar a couple of stores down is questionable, but it's safe. I've never had a problem here. They put plastic covers over the basin to ensure health and safety. Iv been coming here a long time, and never had a problem with infection. They take debit and cash as well provide a receipt. read more

I was there to get my cuticles cleaned up and have extra moisture applied to my fingers after several beach days, and for some reason he put nail polish on before the massage so had to completely avoid my fingers and toes, so the most important parts for me were completely missed. They also do not have paraffin dip for deluxe mani/pedi, which is really disappointing. My cuticles were a bit inconsistent after vs clean, and the nail polish was not applied well.
