Urgent care cannot diagnose things beyond flu, covid, and other basic illnesses. They told me they couldn't do anything for me and to just go to the ER. They charge $30 upfront. After the appt, they sent another bill for $156. My low rating is to due to being charged $200 for a useless appt. Like most of US healthcare, they are a business.

Treatment went downhill from there. PA Victoria, last name not given, did her examination, found blood in my nasal passages along with other symptoms that indicate a sinus infection to any other capable, experienced doctor or physicians assistant, even an RN. Anyways gave me a steroid shot but no antibiotics. I requested to speak with PA Victoria for a 2nd time and was told that she refused to speak with me again. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the diagnosis I received, I told the polite nurse that I wasn't going to leave until I could speak to her again. I was then threatened with the police being called to remove me from the premises. I then left. At no time did I raise my voice, become confrontational etc. October 24, 2025-I received a text from the office asking about my condition. I asked them to call. To their credit they did call. I explained to the staff person that called me back that I did not feel any better, still had many of the same symptoms as I had when I first went in on October 21, 2025. I then again expressed my firm belief as a 58 year old man that in my experiences that this was a sinus infection. Again, the PA Victoria refused to prescribe any antibiotics unless I came back in to be reevaluated for a fee. (As a disabled veteran utilizing the veterans community care program, they will not pay for another doctor's visit for the same thing from an urgent care. These office visits can become quite expensive extremely fast and I cannot afford the visit.). I will never visit nor will I recommend this Piedmont Urgent Care on Bankhead Hwy, Carrollton, Ga to anyone else especially fellow veterans. They DO NOT deserve our patronage nor our tax dollars .

She told me I would be going to a group home, I said something like, "you should know that..." She cut me off and said that I WOULD be going to a group home for placement and some private yada yada. I said something like, "well, but..." she sharply cut me off again and reiterated that I would be going to a group home. Pissed and frustrated that she did not care about my Georgia Special Needs trust, nor what resources could be brought to bear on the matter, I said something very like, "Ok, I surrender. Just figure it out and let me know what you come up with." She told me that my participation in the process was mandatory, and that she would NOT just figure it out and tell me. OK. I was not going to participate by being interrupted repeatedly while trying to provide relevant and time-saving information. I am a physician's daughter and a physician's widow. This is not my idea of a perfectly reasonable conversation with a professional doing her job. In fairness to her, I have probably been libeled by staff at Harborview Perimeter Rehab. who did not like my speaking with the police about their locking 20 of us out in sub-freezing weather for more than 30 minutes. For those of you at Tanner who want to know more, you need to check with their local police about the 911 phone call placed by a patient named "Josh" (sorry, I do not know the gentleman-patient's last name. I do know that Perimeter Harborview has an unstable business office manager named Theresa. But even if the Social Worker did have faulty information about me, her conduct was still most unbecoming of her and never was useful in solving the matter of my placement. She freaked me out so badly that I requested a tele-medicine conference with their psychiatrist, who had just agreed with me in a separate interview that inpatient psychiatric care was unnecessary. I told him that my encounter with her had just changed my mind. He 1013'd me to Willowbrooke, another pretty impressive place.
