I am absolutely in love with Tansy! We were on a walk and decided to stop in since we've seen multiple posts on TikTok. We were curious to see if it was as great as everyone made it out to be. It was actually more than great! If I'm nothing in this world, I'm a great shopper. They have just about everything here from stickers to living plants. You could spend a few hours just looking at all the fun items they have for sale. If you are into botany then this is your place. They have some of the most beautiful plants and all the items you need to care for them. They offer a coffee/tea cart in the outdoor patio and they sell amazing coffee. My favorite part about Tansy was the "adoptable" plant section. I'm not 100% sure but I think you can take your plants there if you can't care for them any longer and others can come and "adopt" them for free. If you are in the area, Tansy is a must visit. read more

I do love this place. Love the atmosphere, aura, positive vibes, and zen like feeling. It definitely feels like home as you gaze and stroll from room to room. As soon as you enter, you can easily feel you're welcome here. They have a nice front patio with tables and chairs which I believe where they hold that pop up cafe on weekends. You can sit in here in the middle of all the nice potted and handing plants adorning the area. So peaceful and quiet still considering it's situated right next to the busy Magnolia blvd. So much more to see inside. Not just plants but garden accessories and all sorts of gift items for all ages. Every display shelves are properly organized. It helps that each item has price tags. I have to agree that customer service might not be the best. No one acknowledged my presence but not taking it against them. I actually liked it that way that I was given my own space while in the store. I'm pretty sure though that if I needed help, the staff will be there to assist. Yes, the plants are more expensive than the nursery I go to but I didn't really come here for that. My visit was more for viewing pleasure and enjoying what the store has to offer. read more

Awesome plant shop specializing in plants & home decor! It's so cute inside and out. I came during the anniversary event this year, and they had a sale and pop up vendors in the parking lot. We got a wind chime made out of beautiful capiz shells with different shades of blue and two new small plants. The store associates are all super helpful too. I took off a star because our first purchase from the shop was our first/only plant for our new home about a year ago, and unfortunately, it had mealy bugs, which took a lot of time to care for every day but it ended up not making it. We probably should have brought it back for advice, so we'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the two we just got. read more

What a gorgeous space. They did such a wonderful job of decorating inside and out. Tansy is so beautiful it's like a little wonderland escape from city life. My artistic senses were buzzing as I walked through all their plants, art, decor and crafts. It's really inviting and visually stimulating. They do seem to have higher prices than Lowes or Home Depot but I believe you'll get quality and personal care. This place is really cute! I walked here during my lunch and was so happy I did. There are so many things in the little shop, that I am sure I missed a lot of things. When I went there was seemingly only one person working and I did not see him until I walked inside, but he was really friendly and helping someone in another section of the shop. They have a huge variety of plant, a gorgeous Thai Bougainvillea outside that I will have to go back to get! The only thing that wasn't so great were the plants over in the front (outside) on street side to the left... they were really sad looking, I thought maybe they were discounted, but their "adoption" price seems to be regular price for what you would get for a happy plant. read more

So happy I was able to stop by for their 4 year anniversary! I brought my mom with me as well. I had been here once before but couldn't really browse at a pace I wanted. Today was different. Although the shop is very cute, a lot of knickknacks a lot of plants a little on the pricey side, but that's what we're supposed to do right support local businesses. I go there pretty often. Every single time has been more than $150 but let me tell you my last experience. As I walked in I saw the gentleman that I know very well. I said hello and proceeded on into the store now I do have to agree with some of the other reviews on here because it has been my experience when I walk in I'm not greeted also kindly several times that's happened, but I don't take it personal. I don't need anybody to say hi to me. I mind my business. I gather my goods I pay and I leave however they have an artist that does these mugs with breast on them I've seen them the last year or so $39.99 is the price there are some other ones that are priced at $49.99 although all proceeds go to charity I never bought one as I thought that that was quite a bit of money. Well fast-forward last year I went through breast cancer this year I had a close family member who went through the same thing and had a double mastectomy so when I saw the mugs this time, I thought I will definitely purchase two the blonde lady that was helping me was very polite and pleasant. I explained my whole story to her as she picked up two mugs. Both had two different prices. She then went to go ask who ever that young lady was with a short black curly hair and tattoos, and came out so aggressively saying how she was not gonna honor that price. That's the wrong price so on and so forth I simply stated that good customer service should honor the one price then change it and do whatever you have to do but for the longest I've seen the $39.99. I'm sure other people have gotten it so why was this mistake not caught before however she was extremely rude and her attitude was super stinky and so it brought my stinky attitude right out along with it I don't tolerate disrespect and I will speak up. I've never had such an experience like that there I am very turned off of that experience and I will not return. I work hard for my money so to go spend $100-$300.and then be treated that way it was absolutely ridiculous to me. Somebody needs to teach that young lady what Customer Service is. PS I'm gonna do my research and see if I can find out who that artist is and purchase it from her directly even if I have to pay more money I would gladly give it to her versus the Shop. I've seen some of the reviews on here and decided to read some before I made mine because I was curious on who had the bad experience and I believe it as I experienced it myself another thing that I have to say that turned me off is the owner who responds she also sounds very rude in my opinion and some of her responses back as a business owner is surprising however I am sad not to be able to go back, but it is what it is. I came into this place to check out the plants and gifts and found a little paradise. When you walk in to the patio area you are taken into a place of serenity and peace. Plants all over, tables with benches to sit and take in the atmosphere. A little yellow trailer serving an assortment of drinks and snacks called Plantate , they have free wifi. Sit, relax, sip , nibble, surf, and breathe. Inside there are too many gifts and plants to list. They have an assortment of one of a kind baby mobiles, and more. I was all about the plants!! I paid Tansy to do a home plant maintenance. Ella confirmed the time and then did not show up. She texted me 20 minutes later saying she rang the doorbell, however I was right by the door. The doorbell was working perfectly. I asked why she didn't bother calling or texting until she left. She had no response. Ella's communication has been poor from the beginning. The good: This place is insanely cute. They have fake plants, real pants, pots, international decorations and gift items like cards and trinkets. Their outdoor plant selection includes hanging plants and succulents. They sell some furniture pieces, pillows, kids' toys, charms, bowls, kitchenware, towels, wall hangings, and much more. The atmosphere was very colorful, eclectic and worldly. The worker there seemed knowledgeable about plant care instructions. They welcome dogs inside the store. They require that you sanitize your hands upon entering the store. I got a pebble planter for $10, a 2" succulent for $2.99 and a colorful small pot for a succulent for $9. They had a lot of colorful puff ball items that looked to be Indian, Himalayan or Tibetan. The bad: I don't think they have a private parking lot. There's just street and neighborhood parking. I was hoping to find more real air plants but I only saw 3 that were in the sink getting washed. I was also hoping to find more dried real plants but there were 2 that I saw (1 was baby's breath). Located on the SE corner of Magnolia and Myers, this place is street parking only but parking was easy to find on Myers St. The store and the outdoor area are both so cutely decorated and each section is so inviting. I first learned about this store from a Yelp Elite Event that I attended last night. I loved the store so much that I came back today with one of my "plant mom" friends so she could fall in love with the store herself! Shawna is the owner of Tansy and she has such an inspirational story. She spent the majority of her life as part of the corporate world but decided 3 years ago (when she turned 50 years young) that she wanted more from life. So she quit her stable job and started this store! She named it Tansy after the small yellow flower, which has a long history of medicinal use but was oddly classified by USA as just a weed. Despite the pandemic happening just months after the store opened, Tansy has thrived and is starting to host in-person events again. This is a little gem in this town! My friend told me to visit and it has quite the boho charm! The zen vibe inside matches with the nice little collection of indoor plants. I was able to find some hoyas that are a little more 'rare' here. Great find! They have cute little plant pots too, especially the boobie ones! We were so excited to stop by this place after seeing a video on social media, so we drove from West Covina ready to get some Christmas shopping done. As we drove around the corner to park, we were super excited because it looked exactly like what we were expecting. Then, as we were walking up, one of their employees was closing the gate. And we were confused because we arrived at 5:05 and I guess they close at 5 PM :( We were SO bummed. Their YELP hours say 6pm on Sundays- but it really is 5pm. Really cute store!! Tansy is not just a plant store, it is also a gorgeous little decorations and gifts store. Kinda just stumbled here on a Sunday morning after completing my CPR class a block down, and was pleasantly surprised they were serving coffee outside. I read a sign that said Tansy has vendors come out to their store, and particularly they sell coffee and pastries every weekend morning which is just amazing!! The outside has a large variety of outdoor plants, including a really cute succulent wall. Once you enter the building, it feels like you're taken to a completely different place! The vibes inside are immaculate- super comfy. It's the perfect place to take your PPP (PLANT PARENT PARTNER) on a date lol. This is the cutest and brightest plant store I've ever been to. They have adorable gifts and also items for kids. There are handcrafted items, smudge sticks, unique items. Picked up a moisture meter and some small tiny pots. It's hard to find cute small pots at some nurseries I've been to, but you can probably find what you're looking for here. I hesitate to write this, because we have always loved Tansy before now. We have purchased many things here and love the atmosphere and events. Unfortunately we had a frustrating experience recently, and it looks like a couple other people experienced similar things. We purchased a beautiful, robust, pathos plant. It was full and long. It was magnificent. We also purchased the Arber concentrated plant food. We weren't told it was the wrong season for the Arber, and even though we followed the directions of dilution exactly, it adversely affected every plant we put it in, the big pathos and several basil plants. We, of course, didn't know to ask about the plant food being purchased during the wrong season, because we've never had that experience with any other plant food we've used over the years. Luckily though we had kind of a test group going, because that pathos was the only one that was given the plant food. It quickly started to grow mold, so we brought it into Tansy to be repotted. They told us that it would be sad for a few days, but then it would bounce back. it never did. Our poor pathos took a downward spiral, and its moisture levels were strange. My daughter let it completely dry out in between waterings, and I monitored it as well. We cared for each of our four pathos that we have exactly the same way, same watering, same amount of light, same environment. The other three have thrived and this one is a former shell of itself. We brought it back so they could take a look at it, but I think, even if unintentionally, it just seemed to be blamed on the plant not liking the environment and/or not being cared for properly. I think we had a possibly defective bottle of plant food, because all of the basil plants have died and I don't know if this pathos will ever recover. I was asked what I wanted from the store, and I asked if it would be possible to get a discount while purchasing another plant to replace it. They said NO, and I was surprised. Things are a little bit more expensive at Tansy, but I always assumed that it's because of all the care and customer service that's included. I didn't think asking for a discount was a huge thing, because the original plant was 40 and that awful plant food was 30, so I was already out about $70. Even if I had been offered a small discount, it would've been better. I am just shocked that such a small request was denied. I'd also like to mention it's more than 70, because we paid $8 to have it repotted by Tansy. I was not sure how to respond to the owners answer- so I am adding this to the end of- maybe in the future the employees can suggest that someone speak to the owner if they seem unhappy. I definitely seemed unhappy. And I came in a couple of times. I think I also might have spoken to you on the phone early on before I had it repotted. I'm sure the plant food and it's company is great, and I know that you've use it on a lot of your plants in the store. That's why we bought it. I am just thinking maybe it was something wrong with that particular bottle just by chance and I wish I had known to ask if there was a time that I wasn't supposed to use it, or if somebody happened to mention it when we purchased it. We have been coming to your store since it opened and we even came to Geeky Teas at that location,before we came to Tansy. read more
