Extremely disappointed with my eyebrow services with Jamie. I was a new client. Went there based…read moreon the positive reviews. First, the environment was not very welcoming or friendly, I felt entirely out of place. Didn't feel like I was greeted warmly, very impersonal. Jamie didn't engage in any small talk/pleasantries. The minimal conversation with me was forced. Didn't even call me by my name when she came from the back to get me when it was time for my appointment. Somewhat pretentious environment. Felt out of place and uncomfortable. As to the services, I was super proud of myself, It had been four or five months since I had last had my eyebrows done, so I had a lot to work with (or so I thought). I showed Jamie pictures from her Instagram page of how I wanted my eyebrows. She didn't really seem too enthusiastic to want to give me a nice arch and/or make my eyebrows pretty. Instead, she asked me if I ever had my eyebrows waxed. I was extremely offended by that question, I am 52 years old, of course I have had my eyebrows waxed before. In fact, not only have I had my eyebrows waxed before, I have had them tweezed, threaded, trimmed, tinted, laminated, the whole nine yards. I have used every eyebrow growth serum known to man. I felt like I was pegged as this "dowdy," "matronly" person who for my entire life either never had my eyebrows done, or if I did, that it was at Walmart for the $5.00 bargain basement eyebrow threading special. When I said I wanted my eyebrows to be nicely arched Jamie again didn't seem too enthusiastic and said that she will "clean them up" and put a little henna on them. Okay great, clean them up, fine, of course, but cleaning up and arching are too different things. Anyone can "clean up" eyebrows, I don't need to go to a salon to remove the stray hairs underneath the body of the eyebrows themselves, I can do that at home, it's the arching that is what is the important part. Also discussed lamination. I have had lamination once or twice before and I think they left it on too long because my eyebrows were brittle. Jamie has pictures of "buttery" laminated eyebrows on her Instagram page. I asked her about lamination/her thoughts if I could get the pretty laminated brows like the pics on her Instagram page and she really didn't respond or further discuss this with me. Again, I felt like I was pegged as this dowdy, matronly person who wasn't worthy of having pretty eyebrows, that anything would be good enough for me. So after twenty minutes and $60.00 later, (not to mention the $15.00 cash tip), my eyebrows Iook no different than when I walked in there, actually they look worse. The hairs underneath the body of the eyebrows were removed, and henna was thrown on there, and that was about it. No sculpting, barely any clipping, I have eyebrow hairs on top/within the body of the eyebrows that are sticking straight up they are so long, they weren't even touched, no brushing up of these eyebrows, no trimming. Likewise, there was no brushing down/trimming of the super long eyebrow hairs on the bottom eyebrow area, there are some eyebrow hairs that are almost an inch long that should have been groomed/trimmed. Also the same is true for the extreme ends/tail areas of my eyebrows. No trimming/no removal of extremely long hairs at the extreme ends/tail area. Eyebrow hairs that should have been removed weren't, eyebrow hairs that shouldn't have been removed were removed. Basically waxed off the outgrowth underneath the body of the brow, threw some henna on, and good enough. In retrospect, I should have just gone to Walmart for the $5.00 special, I would have $55.00 more in my pocket. Not a good experience at all. Even if I was asked to come back in for Jamie to spruce them up on a "gratis" basis I would decline. Very disappointed, to say the least. On a scale of one to ten, ten being excellent, the best ever, one being the worst experience, two through nine being in the middle, this experience is definitely a solid one.

Fallon did the makeup for our entire bridal party this past weekend (5 bridesmaids, the mothers of…read morethe bride and groom and the bride) we ranged in age from early teens to 70+ and we all looked fabulous. We looked glamorous without looking over-done. I have never received more compliments on my make up in my life. Prior to arrival, she coordinated her services with the hairstylist and set up a schedule with our assigned times. She brought all of the necessary tools and products and was incredibly professional throughout the entire day. Some of us selected traditional makeup application and some selected airbrush makeup, but we all looked gorgeous when she was finished. Now, the makeup held up remarkably well. I was one of the first to get makeup applied (before noon), and before the night was over (well past midnight), I ate two meals, snacked, drank, took indoor photos took outdoor photos and danced (and sweat) for hours. I didn't have a chance to glance in a mirror the entire evening, and when I got home, I assumed that my makeup would be a melted mess, but it wasn't! My eyes still looked perfect - no creasing on my upper lids and the lash application had no lifting at the edges. The lips lost only a little color in the very center from all the eating and drinking. Blush looked fresh. The only part of the makeup that started to crease was my under eye area, but even that was minor. I was amazed. Thank you, Fallon! You brought out the beauty in all of us and helped to make my sister feel like a goddess on her wedding day.

Well, having your makeup done by makeup artist Marcus Geeter is an experience in itself---never mind how great the finished product looks. By the time he got done telling me about his experiences with Halle Berry, Ringo Starr and Kim Fields I was like, OK, there's no way this is going to turn out badly. Oh and just looking at his website, I've discovered that he's also done makeup for Academy Award winner JENNIFER HUDSON, USHER and R. KELLY, as well as a client list that includes VICTORIA'S SECRET, L'OREAL, CLAIROL, PANTENE, as well as many others. What fun! How pampered I felt. Using a professional makeup artist seemed extreme, but I'm so glad i did. Marcus was friendly and funny, as well as professional. I was surprised how relaxed I became during our session. Not only did he transform my face to party-fabulous (yet appropriate, it was a company event after all), but tamed my frizzy hair into large bouncy curls. I felt great, and co-workers were amazed how good I could 'clean up'.
