It was easy to book an appointment online with her. She was friendly, personable and made me feel comfortable. She took the time to explain to me a few options that I had and was very comfortable with helping me decide what service I needed based on what I was looking for. She took the time to map out my face and show me several options The shop was very clean and sterile - I only say sterile because Jazmin took all supplies out of new packaging and all tools and equipment was wrapped to avoid cross contamination. When I first arrived, I was super nauseated from my Uber ride and the woman that answered the door was very friendly, got me a chair out of the direct sunlight (overheated) and got me some cold water. It was such a friendly and welcoming way to enter my appointment after such a rough Uber ride. Jazmin was so lovely and friendly, making me feel comfortable and listening to what I said I wanted done to my lashes. She had just gotten her own done and I loved how they looked and kind of also showed her a few pictures of what I was looking for to get this kind of layered, wispy look that I was going for. The session was really relaxing and she was so patient, even when for some reason I kept having to cough throughout the appointment. Five years ago, a chemical peel left me with a severe burn and a raised, colorless scar in the very center of my face. It is impossible to explain what that does to a person's spirit. Every conversation, every photo, every glance in the mirror became a reminder of something I desperately wished I could hide. I stopped recognizing myself.I stopped feeling confident. Some days, I even avoided looking people in the eye because I was so ashamed of how visible it was. I tried to fix it. I flew twice to a well-known clinic in Beverly Hills hoping for relief. While there were small improvements, the reality of traveling back and forth from Chicago made it impossible to continue. Then I found Elsa and my life truly began to change. From the moment we met, she wrapped me in a sense of calm and understanding. She listened to me in a way few people ever had. I felt seen, not just as someone with a scar, but as a person who had been carrying years of hurt and insecurity. My scar was stubborn. It didn't respond easily.
