When I visited her home and saw all the color, activities, and everything she does for the children, I knew my baby girl would be in wonderful hands. From birthday parties and dance parties to the great, yummy meals the children enjoy, Teacher Rose puts so much love and effort into creating a fun and nurturing environment. There are even things my daughter won't eat at home that she will gladly eat at daycare! Teacher Rose is excellent at providing wonderful care to the children. From the very start, she has loved on my baby girl and brought out a side of her that has been so wonderful to watch grow. She tends to the children's needs as if they are her own. Teacher Rose is very communicative, thorough, and clear, which I truly appreciate. She sends videos and makes sure I'm able to see what my baby has going on throughout the day. Anytime I have questions or concerns, she answers me. She respects me as my daughter's mother and considers what I require for my daughter to be cared for properly, and what I need in order to feel comfortable with her care. Mrs. Rose does a lot! She is honestly like a one woman band, even though she has support whenever she needs it. She runs a tight ship, and it is truly amazing to see. Above all, Mrs. Rose has a genuine servant's heart, and I thank God for placing her in our lives, not only as my daughter's daycare provider, but honestly, as a friend. She even goes the extra mile and makes sure every child is celebrated on their birthday and makes the holidays even more special for little ones and their siblings. I researched a handful of preschools in Modesto to enroll my 4 year old. I wanted structure and some curriculum taught and not just a full day of playtime. What I liked most about Magnolia was is wasn't on a main road with fast traffic, the play yard was on the backside of the school and they had a structured day. My daughter was over the moon excited to start school so I was happy they had room for us to enroll. I decided on 3 days a week so she wasn't overwhelmed but after her first week things changed quickly. She was anxious to go to school, she would throw full tantrums in the morning to get ready, she was regressing on her potty training and having multiple accidents at school. Complete opposite of her normal behavior. At first, I expected this, it's a new routine, there's a period of adjustment and many kids experience it. By the end of week 3, I was having serious mom guilt. She had completely broke down one morning when we pulled into the parking lot. It was like sheer fear had overcome her and she begged me not to leave her and to take her home. I spoke with her teachers and the Director and although they said she was doing fine, I wasn't convinced. The Director of the preschool is quite young and I tried not let that cloud my judgement of her ability to run the school, however it was what she said when I brought up my daughter's behavior that made me realize this was not going to work... I expressed to her my concerns and that my daughter would say the kids were mean. She said that she had not witnessed any mean treatment but does encourage the kids to tell the teachers if that comes up. She then went on to say that many of the kids there had been enrolled for a while and had become friends and tend to have their little cliques. Cliques at 3 and 4 years old?? No. This did not sit well with me and I was surprised that she not only knew of this behavior among the kids but that it was accepted and no one was trying to encourage these kids to play together and make friends with everyone. I'll say it again, 3 and 4 years old! Needless to say, I pulled my daughter out that day and we didn't return. That is not the kind of community or culture I want my daughter in. We do not do "Mean Girls" at 4 years old and I'm not raising my daughter to dismiss new people, or encourage her to make anyone feel out of place and preschool was the last place I expected her to experience that.

The teachers are very patient with the children, older children help younger children settle into routines, and the school even helps with potty training when the time comes. When our daughter started Kindergarten at the local elementary school, we found she was far beyond her classmates in math. This school prepared her well. Your child will take time to settle into the new environment. It took my oldest nearly six weeks. The school will work with you, so be patient and don't blame the school if your child isn't ready.

What I got instead was several weeks of back and fourth emails, and a check that was finally recieved via snail mail aka USPS. I thought: "FINALLY", cause... hey, we're talking a little over $1,800. I go to deposit it and lo and behold.. IT'S NOT SIGNED. Yes, seriously, they sent me an unsigned check. From there, I went back to the email thread, going back and forth a million times with accounting and random people who never introduced themselves. An aggressive email from a random staff member named Patricia, who never introduced herself or her role in the whole situation. I didn't receive any phone calls, no apology, no accountability. Weeks go by, and I don't receive another check, so I filed a dispute with my bank after attempting to resolve this for over a month. Guess what? I finally heard back from accounting. They tried to get me to cancel my dispute so that they could issue a check again. I said nope! Thankfully, a week or so later, my bank was able to refund me the entire amount after literally faxing them our email thread and the unsigned check. Please do not bring yourself or your children here. The staff here is unprofessional and incompetent and needs to brush up on their customer service. Avoid. At. All. Costs.

We first met brenda. Everything was great her home was nice and clean and she seemed nice and orderly. Everything was fine for the first few weeks. Until i had to ask her to stop using baby powder on my child because she was coming home caked in it. To which brenda obliged my request. Within the 3 mos my child attended this daycare brenda took at least 4 unexpected days off. Sick, family emergency, etc. and i get it. Shes got a life too. But a little unprofessional to tell us your good to go the next day and then get a text at 6am going nope closed today. Also she kept changing her policies to a contract we had signed with her. The biggest for us being the payment method. At first she stated she accepted cards. Thats how we paid our start up fees (though this was not written in our signed contract). Well then she decides shes going to charge extra for cards because they charge her a percentage. Okkkay. Then she dosent take cards at all. Disappointing, that was convenient for us but whatever. So dad usually dropped her off in the am so sometimes he would forget to write out a check. So he would get cash at the bank during the day and pay her before the end of business day as her contract states. Never once did we miss or were late on a payment. Then she demands to have payments only in the morning during dropoff via group text with all the parents. I responded with simple question as to why the policy change and i get this lovely message from this very "nice" woman whos watching my firstborn and only child: "Yes, the reason is because because I deposit all my checks in Friday evening and it takes 2 days to clear my business account. If I deposit Friday morning I get paid Saturday. That's the way my bank works. So in reality I don't get paid until Tuesday every week! That's not fair to me at all!!!! How would you like it if your suppose to be paid on Friday and it takes until Tuesday for your boss to pay you!! That's why I will be paid on Friday mornings, it's only fair to me. If I'm not paid in the morning, their will be a late fee of $50.00 dollars. It's my business and I have guidelines that Parents should follow!! I don't ask for much expect my payments be on time!!!! If it's a problem theirs other childcare's you can go too!" Less than an hour after that i get this: "Unfortunately, it has been a blessing watching Ellieanna. I think it's probably best that today will be her last day of care.
