Came here for lunch with my girlfriend. Got the sausage Bianca pizza which was outstanding- some of the best wood fired pizza I've had. Flavor and texture were both great. Had a couple drinks and most enjoyed the Cedar old fashioned. Cool industrial atmosphere, laid back enough to play cards with our drinks. Will 100% be back!

What an intriguing little spot in Northfield! I had never been there before, but stopped through while on a circuit of businesses included in the MN Drink Passport (got mine at the State Fair). Despite having a *distinctive* smell (which I am told is a by-product of the production process) we had a great time sitting at a tiny corner table, hemmed in on all sides by barrels, sipping on spirits and doing the NYT crossword. We really appreciated the house-made own bitters, tonics and mixers in the cocktails. A cozy place well worth a trip on it's own, or if you are in the area.

Don't get discouraged if you drive down and do t see the place. It us hidden in the back corner of the industrial park. Once you get inside, Loon Liquors does not disappoint. We had barely bellied up to the bar and our server poured us a small sample of the seasonal liqueur, which happened to be cinnamon (and delicious). The bartenders were all very friendly and made great recommendations. I mentioned I like dill after looking at the dill martini, but ended up not ordering it. While waiting for our drinks to be made, I got another small sample of the dill aquavit. Wow, that was good too. Had a wonderful beverage and took some goodies home too. Would strongly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

How have a not written a review for this place yet? I have been there a couple of times now and I really appreciate and enjoy the laid-back vibe of this place. Smells of liquor mash waft through the dimly lit space. There is a sign that says this place is structured like a speakeasy and it totally works. Now on to the drinks. There is a great menu with quite a bit of variety to pick from, a little bit of classic and a little bit of experimental. Each drink is made with either bourbon, gin, or vodka that is made in-house. The Old Fashioned is very good, but I would also suggest any of the other bourbon drinks. If you want to take something home with you, you can buy their products right at the distillery. Their coffee liquor is absolutely amazing - smooth and sweet with just a hint of vanilla and cocoa. This has become my go-to coffee liquor in my home bar. Whenever I am in Northfield and have an afternoon to spare, this is the place I will probably go to relax and unwind.

I love to support local businesses and we are so fortunate to have this local business open. They have an easy way to make reservations online and check in when you arrive. The entire process feels very safe and clean as your temperature is checked upon arrival and then you are seated. Table service is offered in the lounge and outside patio and all the tables are socially distanced with homemade sanitizer on the table. However, the best part is the tasting all the delicious cocktails. Depending on your preference of gin, rum, whiskey or vodka based drinks, they have one for you. I particularly enjoyed the cherry vanilla rum and coke. I can't think of a better atmosphere to enjoy delicious spirits and be part of the local scene.

Ashlynn was amazing! Gave us so much knowledge about the barrels of whiskey. She made us her specialty, the Medusa. Yumm. She is a goddess. Kate had such good energy and told us all the best drinks to try. Both made the experience once in a lifetime.

Great place! Cool vibe with original drinks and some twists on the classics. Free samples of their organic vodka, gin, and whisky.

Hard to find, but worth the hunt. Good selection of spirts and very attentive staff. First of many visits. Tried the Rye Whiskey Barrel Flight. Liked 3 of the 4 whiskeys. Taking a bit home.

I've been here once and it didn't disappoint. They give you a decent list of unique drinks to chose from. I was with 2 friends and we shared 4 drinks. Its a little hard to find since it's in a location you wouldn't expect but i kinda like that. Inside is decorated with an urban feel. The outside patio is slightly small but adorable. They also provide board and card games if you're into that kind of thing. Looking forward to my next visit!

Drink menu! They even make their own sodas and juices/purees, etc.

It was apparent that there were differences between the online menu and the menu we were given at seating. The portion size for a sirloin steak ($34) is incorrect on the table menu. It says 14 oz. The actual size was 10 oz. Additionally, although the steak was accurately cooked, it was served on a cold plate, so that by the time it was presented, it was no longer warm enough to melt the rosemary infused butter with which it was dressed. The steak was pretty chewy, considering the price. Also: The table menu advertised "Soup and Salad", in letters 3/4" high, implying that it was a combo. The only indication that there was a separate price for the soup was in very small print in a color so similar to the background of the menu that it was difficult to see in the dimly lit seating area. As a result, our expected tab of $63 plus tax was over $75. We noted that there are older, invalid menus for Reunion easily findable on the web. They actually come up higher in a google search than the current menu. But that's a different story. I brought these issues to the attention of the manager, hoping for at least a conciliatory apology, but she offered none, insisting that no one had ever complained about any of the issues before and that she saw nothing that needed to be corrected. I paid the bill as presented, and included a generous tip for the server. But we won't be back. People deserve better.

I have been here two times in the last week and lemme tell ya.. this is quite the spot. I do suggest making a reservation because everytime I go here it is popping! What a vibey place, the lights aren't too bright, it gives a hip, fun, light energy and is not too pretentious but has INCREDIBLE FOOD AND DRINKS. Right now, one of their specials is whitefish toast.. if you enjoy fish at all, you need this. The fish is light and fresh, they put fresh dill on top and it is placed on top of some toasted sourdough bread perfectly. The fish is flavorful, a lil earthy and I feel as if there are capers or olives in in the fish mixture, whatever it is is fire! The burrata, beets, and citrus is a nice lovely, fresh, light app, the burrata is perfection with the beets and fresh, juicy citrus, drizzled with some oil and random pieces of garlic mixed in, YUM. I suggest ordering bread on the side with this one! The wings here are a staple and always delish. Crispy, hot, and coated perfectly in a light sweet chili sauce.. they hit the spot everytime. The housemade ranch is a perfect dipper. The other day I tried the chorizo and scallops... oh my goodness gracious.. it was a lil spicy and creamy with the bean puree and the scallops were buttery, light and divine! 10 outta 10 would do again. Finally, got the goat cheesecake, gluten free ginger snap crust with poached pears. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I want this now and in every lifetime! The cheesecake was light, yet decadent, deep, creamy with a light, unassuming flavor. The crust was delicious and the poached pears added that perfect fruit component. I got Liam as my server both times, he was helpful, attentive, had good suggestions when asked questions and didn't interrupt at all, amazing! This is the spot for any occasion!

My quintessential breakfast item is eggs Benedict and cappuccino- this is how I begin my evaluation of good food. So it was a toss up between The Better Half and the Lakeville Brewing Co which share the same parking lot. AI told me to go to Lakeville Brewing for the Benedict if I expect it to be done right. However it said The Better half will have way better cappuccino. Entryway into The Better Half was nice . The ambiance reminded me of High Hat on Selby on Cathedral Hill in St Paul. However the warmth wasn't there at The Better Half. The big bar had a few people sitting there, bartender looked at us but didn't say anything. No welcome - no smile nothing. No host at the front door- there was only a sign saying "please wait to be seated". We stood there for about two minutes until someone came from the back to seat us. Our server was a different person, she seemed warm and personable. They should put her in charge as hostess. First impressions are everything. Also train the bartender to be talkative, that's usually why people go to bars- they know at least the bartender will be friendly. Cappuccino was decent and good sized, no complaints there. The Benedicts were executed poorly. The eggs were hard boiled on both dishes. Hollandaise was thick, tasteless and slopped all over the plate. It didn't look appetizing - we had to send it back. With that said the ham was a good thick slice and the potatoes were fried up well. But there was nothing special about the potatoes. Due to poor execution of the eggs Benedict and hollandaise, coupled with the stoic bartender who was unwelcoming- I'd have to give this place a 1.5 star. It's unfortunate since I want to cheer for the small town restaurants. There's so much they could offer in personal touch and experience. Unfortunately this experience left us feeling like "if this is the better half, then I don't want meet the other half." Management needs to step up their game, it's not fair to the workers to let guests start off with a poor experience and then have the food quality continue to degrade the experience. The server never gets a chance to earn a great tip because the bartender, lack of host greeting and poor execution of food overshadows the server who was trying her best. We tipped her well anyway but this is why the lengthy review.. For a breakfast place you gotta get your eggs right. That's 101 cooking.
