To Chadwick F, owner of Innovative Mechanical (https://www.yelp.com/biz/innovative-mechanical-atlanta-2), for quickly responding to my duct cleaning inquiry on Yelp and referring me to DUCTZ of Greater Atlanta. I searched Yelp for a good duct cleaner and Innovative Mechanical popped up as one of the top results. I used Yelp's "Request a Quote" feature and sent inquiries to three different companies including Innovative Mechnical. Chadwick of Innovative Mechnical was the first to respond and said, "Unfortunately, we don't clean air ducts. We recommend Ductz." 2. To Daniel of DUCTZ for calling me quickly. After filling out the short form on DUCTZ's website, Daniel called me the same day and we scheduled a time for him to come out. Daniel was a good communicator and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He was honest, straightforward, and professional and I really appreciate that. 3. To Rhonda of DUCTZ for emailing me a quote quickly. Long story short, I was quoted $687.50 for this particular property: one HVAC unit (to clean the coil and blower), up to 10 vents (remove, wash, and reinstall each vent), and all associated ductwork cleaned with a compressed air sweep. Additional vents and bathroom exhausts were quoted at $25 each. Dryer vents $75. There was more, but this should give you a good idea. I've uploaded with this review some helpful info Rhonda sent me with my quote. It gives you additional background on DUCTZ and their vent-cleaning process. This is an independently owned and operated company with NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) trained and certified technicians. As for my experience with DUCTZ, my tenants reported a "rotten egg" smell coming from the ventilation system. I contacted DUCTZ because I wanted their professional and expert opinion. Daniel met with my tenants and inspected the property's vents and HVAC return / air handler. He suggested a quick, easy, and cheap solution which was to use a foam spray (the foam spray cost only $6.26 on Amazon) to seal an exposed pipe going underground, beneath the air handler, to see if that would stop the smell. The theory behind this was the HVAC system was sucking up bad odors from the pipe and into the ventilation system. There was no charge for Daniel's visit. His visit was for a free estimate. I appreciated his advice and again, not trying to sell me something I didn't need. My tenants also told me that Daniel said that HVAC systems can occasionally get what is known as "dirty sock syndrome" and that it can be difficult and expensive to diagnose. I'm pretty sure I've smelled that in my own old car's ventilation system at one point and it went away on its own (or perhaps when I had the heater core replaced, but I digress). In the end, my experience with DUCTZ of Greater Atlanta was A+ and I recommend these guys if you need a quick, honest opinion about your ductwork/ventilation. This seems like a dependable business.

HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! *please read my whole review and…read moreadded comments at the end for my response to their reply* Team was friendly at first and showed me pictures of their work (which was super deceiving), however, after they left I was able to thoroughly inspect the work provided. I had a basic HVAC clean. When i went upstairs, i realized air vents on the ceiling were re-installed WITHOUT SCREWS. This was apparent in several locations. The few that had screws were drilled too far and stripped the surface therefore also making the vents loose. Additionally, work done in the attic with the hvac ducts was improperly reinstalled to the point of the ducts pushing vents out of ceilings and protruding into the room. Because of all of these reasons, and so many vents falling out of my ceiling, i had personally property that was damaged. When I reached out 7 times, they never responded until I disputed it with my bank (funny how that works, right?). Then they wanted to come and fix their issues. They gave me the "landlord special" and didnt address the personal property damaged that was caused due to their negligence. Their response when i showed them the personal property damage was "we didnt do that." I had moved into my house 2 weeks prior and none of the issues were on the detailed inspection report. I shared all of my photos, inspections, etc with my bank and finally am finished with that. All in all, I cannot recommend using LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE more. That is unless you are okay with poor service, property damage, and negligent & arrogant team members. Hope this helps. I have photos, inspections reports, and a secondary company coming in to review your work and they were appalled! Your company can claim you did nothing wrong and remediated the situation but you did not. Property damage was done. You can claim it was not your fault, but clearly both our banks agreed it was from the overwhelming amount of proof provided by me. The remediated situation was a temporary fix and the second those registers need to be checked or cleaned again, the issue will represent itself. Do not claim that you guys did nothing wrong and fixed the issue when you very clearly did not. I submitted 25 pages of proof to the bank. I did call you 7 times with no response and also have proof of that. This company would be better off just admitting their mistakes rather than lying. Thanks! I was able to schedule an appointment within about a week of first calling them (on a date that was…read moreconvenient). I was given a 3-hour window when they would show up, and they arrived within the first hour (and were done in just over 2 hours). The crew (2 guys) was very efficient. They explained the process and answered any questions. Then they proceeded through the house, connecting the large vacuum hose via the furnace and using a compressed air hose to blow off the dirt and dust for removal. The final phase was the additional dryer vent clean-out. This was complicated slightly due to the piping layout in our walls, but they managed it. I thought the pricing was in line with other companies. They had positive reviews online, and from our experience we would hire them again.
