    Worst veggie tacos in Mexico
    Maíra E.

Worst tacos of my life. I ordered mushroom tacos and they were impossible to eat. No salt, no flavour, no seasoning, no taste, just disgusting. Probably made by someone who hates their job. Also, the waiters had a lot of trouble calculating the bill. It took them a long time to do some simple math, it got us stuck there when all we wanted was to leave.

I was staying at the Four Points Sheraton and this was the closest restaurant next to it - I think it's a must visit here if you are staying at the nearby hotel. The great news is that this place is open pretty late and is always busy - so, am assuming the food here is good. LOL. The answer is yes. It's a bit of a struggle to communicate there in English and after you figure out what you want to order, you can enjoy the food. The nachos, fogonadas, tacos - everything is great. Do keep some space for the desserts - they are great too.

    Stellar salsa selection.

Among the taco spots that seem popular among tourists, this is my favorite. I love their al pastor tacos and the potatoes that come with any order. The tacos with cheese are extra tasty but not sure it's worth the extra cost. Service is quick and they bring your food to you after ordering at the counter. Inside is usually busy from my experience, with casual ambiance, chairs, and tables. Overall definitely recommend if visiting Mexico City!

When I looked at the menu, I was a bit confused until I read the small print. For example, taco de trompo. Theyre al pastor tacos. I was thinking maybe these are going to be some exotic or different type of tacos because of their names, but I guess they were being creative lol. As you order, they give you a number, the waiters help you get a place to sit. You canoot sit anywhere even if you are waiting to order. We tried that, and they asked us politely to move. After we ordered, the line got long. I heard the waiter tell the person who waited in line that it would be approximately 30 mins until they'd order, they stayed in line anyway. So i'm like hmmmmm, must be that good. I personally thought it was an average taco. I didnt really taste much different then other tacos. They were good. We got another round of the chicharron taco. You really cannot go wrong with any taco stand. The restaurant itself was a little busy but quick service. Not too loud, enough to converse. I would recommend to try it out & give your own opinion.

The restaurant seating does give mall food court vibes, but that's ok i wasn't looking for anything fancy. All the wait staff and servers were very friendly and attentive at all times. Food does not take long at all to come out. Overall the food was disappointing. The only taco that was decent and had some flavor was the chicken taco(pechuga). Quite literally everything else was flavorless. The sauces on the side were the saving grace for every item of food I ordered. The ribeye taco was soaked in grease, which made eating it messy. The chuleta taco had no flavor and i would even say tasted bad. I do not recommend it. The food is definitely overpriced, especially considering the area and the amount of taco vendors that sell better tacos. Now what made this experience terrible was my waiter. I ask for the check and the total was $1139. I told him i was paying cash and i put down $1150 cash. He then taps at the receipt saying there's a mandatory tip and service fee. So he added on $100 to the bill right there on the spot. I analyze the receipt he handed to me and none of this is reflected on the receipt. I refused to argue so i put down the extra $100 and asked for the change. Tipping isn't mandatory especially for a table of 2. So i feel the waiter just made this up. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. STAY AWAY and save some money. Theres better tasting food at way better prices in the area.

This place is more of an expensive taco spot in Mexico City and more of a chain than anything. I wouldn't recommend as your first tacos in the city but was still good and satisfied my hunger. The patio was very inviting, so even though it was a bit chilly we sat outside. Our waiter was great, he was also busy, but we got our orders in and received in a reasonable amount of time. The cocktails were off the charts. Honestly can't remember what they were, we got two with Mayan honey and spices, and they were phenomenal. So fruity and spicy and served in an aesthetically pleasing way. One was the cocktail of the month, Aperol and mezcal, why not? Tasted like a, "fruity fireplace," according to our friend to which we wholeheartedly agreed. They gave us each an elote amuse bouche which was a tasty surprise and got us ready for more tastiness. Had a variety of tacos that we all enjoyed immensely. Cauliflower-both types were equally good. Birria queso was incredibly rich and just saturated with flavor-in the best way possible. Had esquites with blue corn and ham croquettes that we thoroughly enjoyed, especially the side salsas. Definitely had to do some negotiating when divvying them up since all of use could have eaten more. This place is not inexpensive, you will drop some money here, especially since you'll want to keep trying cocktails and tacos, but it's worth it. Name on the door was Maiz y Tinto, so that confused me for a bit.
