    Watery and bitter ranchero sauce.

Ordered huevos rancheros. Way too much sauce that was watery, bland and burnt tasting. Realy bad

I was told by a friend to try this place otw to the beaches, and it's in a convenient location, right off 50 in the Exxon gas station, so I don't have to go too far out of my way and get the car filled up before crossing the bay bridge. I'd recommend it for a quick meal! My husband and I had 3 tacos each (al pastor, carnita, and chorizo). We got our order within 5-10 minutes. They came with the green and the orange sauces in small containers. There's no bar with toppings like you might find in some places. The tacos come in double corn tortillas which are excellent and are topped with cilantro and onions. Radish comes in slices instead of minced. I enjoyed the chorizo more than the other two. I also recommend the horchata (sweet drink that offsets the spiciness of the sauces). There are tables and chairs indoors, but we ate outdoors, there are a couple of tables and a bench off the side of the gas station, not really comfortable, but good enough. The workers are not wearing masks (8/21/21) which is a bit odd considering we're right in the middle of the delta variant outbreak.

I've driven past here at least a dozen times and I'm sad I never gave this place a try before. Granted, I didn't know it existed, but what a great meal! Very authentic and tons of options on the menu. I got three tacos and thought each was better than the last. It took under 10 minutes to get our food and we were on our way. Would 100% come back next time I'm passing through!

My experience was not the best like the others. We had high hopes for the customer service and food quality. Let's start with the kids meal. The portion size is good but the rice was overly cooked. They place the child drink inside the food box making it hot. When I asked for a new one they said they didn't have another. I asked for a cup with ice and the lady seemed bothered. The next order we're two chicken burritos. The tortilla was burnt and the rice was, again, over cooked. They do give you a big portion but our food was not fresh. I order a green pozole, that was a mistake. It smelled spoiled and it had the pork eyes and snout. (I was disturbed since I'm not used to that) it looked like they didn't do the extra step to probably clean the poultry. I was shocked since this place has so many stars and great reviews. The personal did not have the customer service. I just think I caught them on a overworked day, but won't be going back. I don't like eyes on my plate.

Barbados, carnitas, carne asada tacos with beans for the win. life Don't expect 5-star dining, this Taqueria is in gas station. They are rocking some of the best tacos in the area. Eastbound on Highway 50, exit 29a right before the bay bridge is the gem of a joint. The food is simple and authentic and very reasonably priced. I had three tacos, barbacoa, carnitas, and a carne asada all topped off with onions and cilantro. On the side, they served a roasted pepper and green onion with some radishes for garnish. The tacos where perfectly cooked and some of the best I have had in a long time.

Gas station tacos! Start driving now and make space in your car and in your belly, because you're about to top off your tank! Pay no attention to the Wawa next door, unless you need to park there because every spot here is full. If that's the case get a soda or something to thank them for the service, but omg, eat here!!! If I could go back in time I'd stop here every time I've crossed the Bay Bridge. I'd have tried everything on the menu and still be going back for more. I can't wait to pick my next plate, and only know that it will include tacos. I'll be honest-the gas station is busy and crowded, and not the a place I would normally recommend you stop for a bite to eat, but I promise that these tacos are worth standing next to the bait refrigerator AND the lottery machine. Really. If you are uncomfortable inside you can place your order and head to your car for the short time it will take for your order to be put together. They will understand. Take out only, for obvious reasons.

For those who read or follow my posts, you know I have eaten Tacos from Texas to Florida to NY and beyond. This place came with a high ratings but today my rating is a 3. Now this place is takeout only as mentioned in posts as it resides inside the Exxon food market. I ordered onsite and thus had to wait awhile because of the phone orders ahead of me. Had 5 tacos which they managed to put all on 1 paper plate, overlapping each other and covered with tin foil. 2 of the Tacos were ok, Chorizo and Shrimp, but the pork and the beef tongue both had big chunks of grizzle, and the fish was overcooked. The woman at the counter was pleasant. This place may be higher on a different day but not on this visit.

Hard working good people but I didn't really like the way they spiced their food when I compare it to the Mexican gods from SoCal.

I eat a lot of Mexican food and this is easily the best I've tasted for Miles around. Birria enchiladas were off the hook. And the salsa there is fantastic! Just a couple more notes about pricing though, because I think it's worthwhile to mention: there is no lunch menu. Most Mexican joints have a lunch menu, with smaller sizes and lower prices. not here. The portions are very generous so be prepared to get a dinner menu and to-go box. And I ordered a draft Mexican beer and got a 24 ounce glass for nine dollars. I think this is another attempt to raise your check. Most places will give you the option of a 16 or 24 ounce. Yes these are nitpicks, but I'm not complaining because the food is so freaking good.

We started with chips and salsa, and they were excellent. The salsa wasn't overly spicy, just full of great flavor, and the chips were fresh and crisp--definitely a strong start to the meal. My wife ordered the chicken chimichanga. It was quite different from what we usually get at the Mexican spots we frequent--it was one large chimichanga served with a small salad, whereas we're used to getting two smaller ones with rice and beans, which we usually share. Still, it was tasty and satisfying in its own unique way. I ordered the Chicharrón en Salsa Verde--crispy pork and onions in a green tomato sauce, topped with cilantro and served with rice and warm flour tortillas. It had great flavor and the pork had a nice texture--crisp but not dry. Our friends ordered a variety of dishes, including: Chile en Nogada - a stuffed poblano pepper with seasoned ground beef, covered in a chilled almond and walnut nogada sauce, topped with pomegranate seeds and served with rice. It was rich, colorful, and very flavorful. A beautiful dish with red and yellow sauces and a white cream swirl--unfortunately I can't recall the name, but it was as good as it looked. Six tacos with assorted meats--each one was fantastic. The flavors were bold and fresh. To drink, most of us had margaritas, and you could tell they use fresh ingredients--these were excellent and not overly sweet like some places serve them. Service was top-notch from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The only disappointing part of the evening came at the end, when we learned that the restaurant will be closing in about a month. The building is being torn down, possibly for high-rise condos. The staff doesn't know if or where they'll reopen. It's a real shame, especially in an area that's already struggling with traffic and congestion. More homes, fewer gems like this. I just wish we had discovered Sin Fronteras Café sooner. Hopefully they find a new home nearby, and we'll definitely try to come back before they close for good.
