Overall, this has been one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant in terms of service from both the waitresses and the cooks. It's the place where I've had to wait the longest just to get my food. For a Mexican restaurant, the service is terrible and extremely slow. Nightmarish service and unreasonable prices. One of our diners never received his food. After the rest of us were nearly done and the waitress finally checked on us, he let her know. About fifteen minutes and an insincere "sorry" later, he got his food. When I finally got my bill, it was a list of shrimp dishes. None of us ordered shrimp. Not surprisingly, this made-up bill cost more than what we ordered. I'm sorry -- how does something like that happen? Really. I'm curious. Did you know that a medicine cup of sour cream cost $3 in 2022? It does at this joint! Oh, and you'll discover that it says you can add rice and beans to an entree for extra. But you won't know it'll cost you $7 extra for a side of rice and beans (until you get your bill). Yeah. Lastly, be prepared to pay cash or use cash app. They don't accept cards. We placed our orders and after 35 mins we were told they don't have beef or chicken for the Fajitas. This is very unprofessional as we wasted almost 40 mins to hear they are out of chicken and beef. I love it here. It's been a really long time that I've had real authentic mexican food, and this place delivered my desires. The food is well priced, huge portions (I had to take it home), and the waitresses are really nice. What I love most about here is the 10 for $10 tacos. 10 for $10 tacos, ladies and gentlemen. How do you beat that? You don't. Well maybe if more meat options were included. I specifically came here for Taco Tuesday of course. I wanted some cheap tacos to tag along to Barley Mow for some outdoor seating and cans. The ten for ten only includes chicken, pork, and carnitas. Slightly bummed you can't throw all options in there, but most other tacos are $1.50 so you still can't really complain all that much. I walked in and ordered at the counter, (while nervously practicing my Spanish). I had time to kill so I wasn't worried about wait time by any means. The two women that helped me at the front were extremely kind and welcoming (bonus points for complementing my tattoos :D). A lot of reviews complained about service, but I received my tacos with a huge smile within 20 minutes. I've been here once before, and personally felt the tacos were even better this time. Although maybe that was the beer talking. The chicken is a smidge dry, but the accompanying salsa helps with that. After seating myself, the waitress came by about five minutes later with some chips and menu. While the menu is not huge, it has more than enough to please any Mexican food hankering do you may have. I settled on three tongue tacos and a sopes with lengua as well. They have an upcharge for lengua but it was well worth it - very tender and moist. These tacos had more meat in them than any I have experienced in the past. The sopes looked small in the menu picture but was a monster upon arrival. I should just have just ordered the sopes and that would have been more than enough for dinner but the menu picture fooled me. For $4, you cant go wrong with the sopes. Everything was fresh, tasty and pleasantly plated. Tacos were $3/each or they have a special of 10 tacos for $10 (upcharge for some select meats). Heck, why cook at home when you can eat a massive meal here so cheaply?!?!?! A while back this used to be my go to spot but now I only go on occasion due to the food not being as good as it used to be. I recommend only going here if your in a rush or want the 10 for 10 tacos but even then I wouldn't recommend going here for that. Today I ordered 10 tacos with a side of fries and a salsa and chips and 3 out of my ten tacos had pieces of bone in it I came home and tried the first taco and bit straight into a bone fragment the food was poorly bagged up and when I got home the tacos were a mess and the salsa spilled and I only live up the street from here. We found this little place off of the beaten path in a new town. Staff was slow in taking orders and checking in. They were not very talkative either. Took some time to get the food. At least they give u more chips if you need for the awesome guacamole. When it arrived it was very aromatic and tasty. My partner ordered enchiladas and he really enjoyed the intense flavor. I had the Mexican cheese filled peppers and they were so delicious! Was so thankful to have a vegetarian option. Great salsa and fresh guacamole. This type of Mexican food is not one that I'm used to. I think these guys are from the southern end of Mexico and their style is different but the taste is not something I feel deserves five stars. This is actually a taco truck in the C-Town Reading Shopping Mall. All tacos are $1.50 (chicken, steak, lengua, chorizo, chicharron, carnitas, nopales, tripa, cabeza, adobo, a few others) as was the horchata. Burritos, tortas, and a few other items are offered, but we were here for the tacos. Wait patiently as there will be a few people ahead of you ordering and/or picking up their made to order meals. It's hard to wait patiently when you're hungry and the smell is amazing, but try to be patient. It will take about 10 minutes for your food to be prepared after you order, but the wait is definitely worth it. For variety, we ordered steak, tongue, chorizo, chicharron, and carnitas with onions and cilantro. With the order comes a mild tomatillo sauce, roasted jalapenos which are incredibly hot, and limes (once you take a bite from the jalapenos, you'll be happy to have some lime to chew on as well as a sip of horchata to cool the tongue--these are definitely NOT the mild bell pepper variety, but burning hot jalapenosl yum!). Each of the tacos were excellent, but we decided to gorge ourselves and get 2 more chorizo tacos. We had to eat in the car (one family actually pulled the rear seat out from their minivan and propped that in front of the truck to eat). Total? $12 for 7 tacos and 1 horchata, tax included. From their refrigerator cases full of delicious real-sugar soft drinks to a menu featuring many different kinds of meat options - pork stomach or beef tongue, anyone? - for their incredible dinners, it feels like I just can't tell enough people what an incredible place this is especially IN Reading. I've lived in the Reading area for the past 10 years and have never been able to find anything at all comparable to the true Mexican food I grew up eating. My husband brought me here for Mothers Day this week and we were blown away by the food. The service was great too, friendly and prompt. We had traditional chips and salsa along w pico de gallo. Great flavor. We each had tacos, my husband had the tongue, I had Cactus and chorizo. The kids were pleased too, my 7 year old ordered the shrimp ceviche and really liked it. Portions are huge! My friend who lives in the area showed me this place. We came for the guacamole but stayed for the tequila! The bartender had knowledge of the more high end tequilas that they sell. I was recommended this place by a close friend of mine so when coming home from a trip from philly ,my bf and I decided to stop by on our way home which was completely out of our way,but since it was authentic Mexican food and me and my bf love Mexican food we were excited about it. She brought all of our tacos together on the same plate instead of two different orders, they had no Aguas frescas even though menu said other wise,...FYI it was 4:30 in the afternoon so it wasn't like they were closing or anything, my bf wanted red hot salsa for his tacos it was never brought out for him, I ordered a side of rice which was never brought out until I told them I never got my rice but by the time I received it I was done with my tacos and my boyfriend ended up getting his menudo 30 min after he had finished his tacos.
