Outstanding experience. (Hope this review makes up for minor squabbles about Gracie's, which I too love!) Located a bit out of the way in the Flying Hills golf course, but worth the drive. Sports bar- Eagles vibe w/ a decent draft list. The kegs weren't working (seems to happen at every bar we attend these days) but still enjoyed a Mike & Merrill Philly Hazy IPA. Wings a good size, crisp, you know, the way wings used to be before everyone started charging an arm & a leg & serving broken pigeon wings. Classic "Buffalo" sauce & blue cheese dressing were good. FINALLY tried famous Caramel Burger (which I missed several times at the Hamburger festival). It did not disappoint. Good size, flavorful patty, & what these people do best- the bacon jam & caramelized bacon. The sweetness of the onions sings thru. Order it! Husband ordered seasonal special Frikadellen/Bratwurst Smash Burger. Skipping right to it- the cottage fries. (Gracie's/Louie's if you had this all the time we'd have no beef! LOL) INCREDIBLE! Crisp, thin, tender, amazing. If you follow me you know I am over the frozen fries served at every eatery in this country. Finally, amazingly pleasant, genuinely happy, server- Reese. She was on my side throughout this whole foodie journey, even the beer & burger mishap (initially burger served w/o cheese sauce). She's a keeper! We'll be back & will spread the word! Ordered Louie's Cheesesteak and onion rings. Both were disappointing. I took three bites of the cheesesteak and ate two onion rings and was done. The cheese sauce on top of the steak was way too thick, clumpy and over powered everything else. The onion rings were too greasy and virtually flavorless. At least they were hot as the cheesesteak was lukewarm at best. The bartender asked if I wanted a box and I said no. She then took the food away, didn't offer anything else. Ok we've only door dashed here but the food is great. The first time i ordered, I had their smash burger tacos.. I know it's listed as an appetizer but for me it was plenty as an entrée. My husband and son love the whiskey burger, all of the cheese cheesesteaks, especially the ones with the seeded roll.! There's one burger that is a classy spin of a "Mc" burger .. but def an upgrade! And the whisky bacon.. a treat.. you can't go wrong with anything from Louie's! I need to get myself IN the restaurant but I'd probably never leave Update: went here for lunch with coworkers. I was searching our local area on Yelp for a new bar/restaurant to watch an Eagles football game. I checked out their web page. I liked what I saw, family owned, locally sourced, homemade! My wife and I decided to go here on my birthday for an Eagles game. There is a dining room separate from the bar area. From the time we walked into the bar we felt welcomed by the bartender and the other patrons. They have multiple beers and cider on tap, there is a video board with all the selections. There were 3 different papers the bartender handed us, one was the cocktail menu, one was the food menu and the third was the Oktoberfest menu specials. We started with a Soft pretzel twist and beer cheese from the Oktoberfest menu. My wife had the Banana White Russian drink and I had the Downeast- Cider Doughnut flavored Cider. Both of these were really good. My wife's was a house creation. This pretzel was fresh and soft, probably house made and NOT frozen! Wings were on sale for the game, and I'm a sucker for a wing deal. I ordered the Nashville Hot and Orange Sesame, both flavors were very good and again very fresh, not bottled sauces! There are plenty of TVs all around the bar there is a TV view from every seat. They turn up the volume (for Eagles games)! The bar seats about 30-35 people. During warmer months there are doors that open to an outside deck seating area! As the game progressed my wife decided to try the fish tacos. (She is not a wing fan, just likes the sauces) We both thought they were very good. They also have a burger challenge if you love burgers and are up for a challenge! As much as I would like to keep this place a secret, so it doesn't get too full on game day, I must give Louies Kitchen and Bar 5 stars. Housemade Food and a great staff make this place a must visit. If you don't want to sit in the bar, try the dining room! I'm hoping to get there again tomorrow, I hear the smash burgers are top notch! The burger had a good taste to it with mushrooms, grilled onions and cheese. The fries were also good. Service was great. My only con would be that we were there for dinner and they don't serve any dinner entrees or soup. It's basically a bar food menu heavy on the sandwiches. The ambiance was fine. Stopped by this past Saturday, after a long hike at Monacacy Trail. It's a nice sports bar with a restaurant area too, on a golf course. Big parking lot and a decent amount of tables situated around the bar itself. Plenty of large TV's to watch football on a Saturday afternoon. Our server was the bartender and she was super attentive and very friendly. The beer selection is decent and reasonably priced, as are the sandwiches. I had the CHICKEN RANCH AVOCADO WRAP ($12.99) Fresh grilled chicken breast, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, shredded cheese, avocado, ranch dressing and wrapped in flour tortilla, and it was great. Comes with chips as a standard. My buddy had a burger and it was pretty massive. Cooked perfectly. He said it was very salty. I took a taste and while it was salty, it wasn't over the top. We couldn't believe our luck finding this place last summer. Tucked away off the beaten path, Louie's has both a fun vibe and chef-quality casual food. Eating outside on the deck was cool, and there's hardly anything we've ordered that we didn't love. So much better than watching the news on the TVs! I keep ordering the Greek salad bc the it's so fresh and such a generous portion, I can take half home for lunch the next day. They are attentive to quality, too - I mean, how many restaurants serve RED tomatoes in February ?!? (Nothing worse than a mushy pink tomato, am I right?) The one surprise that we didn't totally love was the wings. Nothing wrong with them, but we were hungry for traditional hot wings, and these weren't that.
