Fresh BIRRIA tacos!

Homemade corn tortillas!! Tacos and their salsa bar are fresh and delicious. Clean restaurant with friendly and genuine service. Been searching for fresh authentic Mexican food that reminds me of home and this delivers for sure! *would include a pic but devoured it right away

I rate local taco spots & I must say this is the top tier of tacos you can get in Greenville ! Very authentic & family owned, which means top notch service! Salsas are absolutely amazing! I'll be back.

Al pastor and Lengua tacos

I love a taco bar where I can add salsas, sauces, and veggies to my tacos! The al pastor meat was extremely juicy and the lengua was the best I have had in Greenville. Both meats were so tender and moist. Their salsas and sauces were to die for. Can't wait to go back and try the tortas!

Al Pastor Burrito

Wow, is the food good! Hubs had Birria (marinated beef) burrito and I had Al Pastor (marinated pork). They are HUGE. We're both good eaters and we're starving, still took half each home. We got our all the way with sour cream, lettuce, inside. They come standard beans and rice stuffed, which both are very tasty. The fixings bar is great for add ons. Love that the Burritos are served panini style, too. Go!

The Grenville has Mario's, which is a great restaurant. But for Winterville, save yourself a trip and the traffic. El Kora is what I hoped Taco Tere's would be. It's so fresh, so plentiful, and the amazing toppings bar on top makes it easily the best mexican taco, etc, place in Pitt County.

Al Pastor y Asada Tacos

Literally cannot express enough how badly you are missing out if you have not been here. Just go, I love tacos, and these are the BEST I've had and definitely the best in Greenville hands down! The Al Pastor is to die for, so juicy, tender and flavorful! And the asada?? Tender, juicy and HIGH QUALITY asada! not a bunch of gristle and hard, fatty pieces, just quality, juicy steak! The salsa bar is phenomenal as well!! GO! It's a 10/10.

The ambience is perfect, with the soft Hispanic music playing in the background. They have traditional Mexican dishes you normally can't get at Americanized Mexican restaurants. I had the regular "Tortas" [submarine sandwiches]. Al Pastor Tortas was what I got. This is a warm "telera" bread [a savoury Mexican bread made with wheat flour] toasted over the grill with your choice of protein, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, queso fresco aka cheese, and crema. My meal was delicious and filling. I also had mango juice to do with my meal. I had an amazing experience, the workers were friendly and the food was amazing! If you're in Winterville, NC, and you are craving some fresh and authentic Mexican food, I recommend stopping by this taco shop. Taqueria Tere was highly recommended by a friend, and I am happy to pass on the recommendation.

My sandwich ( I know, should have taken pictures) was literally half that size - if not less. My bread was nowhere near the size of the Yelp picture either. Skimpy ingredients inside only added insult to injury. The sandwich I was served was absolutely, positively not even close to being worth $10 plus dollars. It was a $4 sandwich after hunting for the chicken. I can go to Chipotle and order three times as much food $10-$11 bucks. Utter disappointment.

From the Manager greeting you at the door, to the helpful suggestions of the table staff. The restaurant atmosphere is colourful and fun (we walked in when the entire restaurant was singing Happy Birthday to a patron). We got sitted right away, got waited on in less time than that. We got our food quite quickly. The food was hot, fresh, and correct! Our server was never pushy. They made sure we had everything we needed. I had the Pollo Sinaloense and Horchata. Everything was delicious!! From 1st bite to last. Keep making food like this, and you have a customer for life. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!

Ordered one chicken soft taco (chicken was absolutely microwaved) and a crispy chile relleno which most likely was also microwaved, it was not a battered and fried Chile relleno but just a basic Chile pepper with chunks of half melted cheese stuffed in middle. I wondered why nobody was in there, now I know why .. I will never be back. When Taco Bell has better reviews , that's a problem.

Spanish is spoken here and when I walk out I know a little bit more Spanish than I did coming in. The servers are super friendly and love their decor inside. On Fridays, we eat tacos…read more Somewhere during the pandemic, my friend group decided we wanted to try birria tacos. We'd heard that there was one place in town where we could get them, which came highly recommended by a friend who'd been here. The caveat was that the birria tacos are only served on Fridays. So we planned to do birria tacos on Friday. We came here and got 4 orders of birria tacos. I added an agua de Jamaica to my order. While we waited, I perused the adjacent grocery store and purchased some Mexican Coca-Colas, conchas, and a box of mango Pulparindo. Soon enough, our order was ready. We took our goodies back to my place, turned on a good movie, and partook in our feast. These tacos are full of flavor. The meat is tender, and the cheese was perfectly melted inside the consome-soaked tortillas. The meal is served with pickled onion and habanero pepper, fresh cilantro and onions, limes, and a house-made hot sauce. Of course, in true birria fashion, there is a cup of hot consome in which to dunk the tacos. The freshness of the condiments perfectly compliments the fatty richness of the tacos. Jamaica is my favorite agua fresca and always reminds me of my favorite Caribbean drink, Sorrel, as they are both made from the hibiscus flower. Though Mexican Agua de Jamaica has a different flavor profile than Sorrel, it always fills me with a sense of comfort and nostalgia. Their Jamaica is delicious and comes in a huge cup, so you always get enough. Since this first visit, we've made taco Fridays a tradition. I always order the birria tacos and agua de Jamaica. I've also tried lots of their other tacos (asada, chicharron, pastor, lengua, etc.) as an add-on to my birria order, but the birria outshines them all. These tacos are absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend adding them to your Friday takeout tradition. Be sure to peruse the pastry case for a fresh dessert to finish your meal and pick up some other treats along the way.
