This place is my go to in Mathis for Mexican good. They are she really quick to get food delivered to the table and prices haven't found led due to the Covid BS. However, I think they drop the ball in the drive through. I can't tell y'all how many times I've left with the wrong food or incorrect order. I will continue to eat here regardless. read more

I ordered eggs over medium, but they came out over easy. Really really over easy. The refried beans were gross. Charro Beans were ok, but cold.Potatoes were ok, but they were cold. The tortillas are supposed to be homemade but they didn't take very good. They were also cold. I was very disappointed because we are new to the area and are looking for good restaurants between San Antonio and Corpus, but we will never come back. They really need to also do some major inside renovations. My husband and I were starved so we are thankful for the food but we won't come back. Waitress also did not smile. Kinda sad.. read more

This place has been consistently awesome for about 20 years at this point. The breakfast tacos are surrounded by the loving embrace of thick, delicious tortillas. The rest of the meals are delicious as well, with solid fajitas, enchiladas, quesadillas, beans, rice... The only thing that they aren't the best in town at is the buffet, as the other taq takes the belt for Sunday Lunch. Some will disagree, and surely our little town has a disproportionate amount of good food being served, but this is the best TexMex in Mathis. read more

Food was okay. It's hard to mess up Tex-Mex. Interior was very dingy and the ceiling tiles were very moldy.

Great little restaurant off the highway! Our group ordered the barbacoa, the country omelette, and the migas. Most of the items on the menu were under $6 and the portions were more than enough. Pretty average small South Texas town Mexican food joint. Typo-laden menu, drive-thru where you drive up and they hand you a copy of the menu and make you do another lap around it while you decide what you want, etc. My wife is from Mathis so we come by every now and then to see her folks. This time we pulled up early enough in the morning for breakfast so we got a couple of meals and tacos to go. I went for my standard - two tacos al pastor. The chunks of meat were a little too big for my liking and kind of dry, but nothing some extra onions and cilantro couldn't fix. There was plenty of that to go around, thankfully. Ive been a regular here for the last 10 years. When we first started coming to our family ranch here in Mathis we drove around one morning to all of the local restaurants and found this one was super packed. So we stopped in and it was a great experience. Food was delicious and came out of the kitchen not long after we ordered except on Saturdays. We go around 10:30 and are out by 11:15. There may be a better place but we will never know because were happy here. Great staff! They know us pretty well and have our orders for the most part memorized. We do change every now and then but the #10 is my go to. You will not be disappointed. read more

This is the worst restaurant. We went through the drive thru and waited almost 30 min for tacos. The two kids inside working were sitting at the table when I went inside. Absolutely terrible service. Never will we EVER eat here again. Ordered some crispy tacos and the meat was still pink. The bean and cheese and there was NO cheese and just a giant scoop of beans.
