Between…read moremissing the days or times he was in the shopping center in Waldorf (the one with the Sprouts), long lines, and being out of meat and/or specific toppings, I just kept missing it! But I finally made it! I ordered a chicken Philly with onions, sweet peppers, and mayo. I've tried a Philly cheesesteak in Philadelphia several times before and wanted to see how this compared. The portion size was huge. Definitely enough for two meals. The meat was also thoroughly seasoned, but a little dry. Not a lot of cheese, which was disappointing. I was looking for the ooey gooey cheesy cheesesteak that I've seen on tv and food shows so many times before. This wasn't it. But it wasn't bad. Be prepared for long lines and long wait times. I really like the pager system he has, which allows you to wait in your car until your food is ready. He also has a variety of toppings including mayo, mustard, ketchup, onions, sweet peppers, mushrooms and more. I'd go back, but next time I would like to try the water ice. I was torn between giving 3 or 4 stars and decided to go with 4 due to the large portion size and taste of the food. I think it makes a difference if you don't have a reference point for Philly cheesesteaks. Without comparing it to what I tried before it was pretty good.

To me it's the standard restaurant setup. You order at the counter for dine in or takeout. I ordered one pound of spare ribs, dark meat smoke chicken, sweet potato and Mac-n-cheese. All the food was good but I can tell the meat was cooked the previous day. To my surprise I didn't need barbecue sauce, the meat was perfectly seasoned and had good smoke flavor. Overall I enjoyed my meal and the prices are very good. I totally recommend this place if you're looking for barbecue in the area.

The lemonade was fantastic, some of the best I've ever tasted. I loved it! The cornbread and pork and beans were good too. The sweet potato soufflé had marshmallows on top and it was waaaaay too sweet. I couldn't even eat half of it. Some of the fish tasted good and other pieces were just meh and didn't seem quite done enough for me. The customer service was suspect. I was with a group of 6, and one person didn't get his meal until 20 minutes after everyone else. They also got a couple of orders wrong and just seemed disorganized. Some items were winners, but I think they can do better.

First review of June so here we go!! I was at the Sam's Club up the street and wanted to stay in…read morethe area for a quick bite because of the traffic. So I just yelped and this place came up. I love a homey looking restaurant so I decided to give them a try. Now the inside has two area...the bar area with a few table tops and the other side where you can go to the counter and order and has several tables to sit. I decided to sit at the table tops on the bar side. The bartender came and took my order. I decided to start off with a strawberry margarita. Now, I was kind of disappointed in the margarita because if you asked me I would think it would be made from scratch. It was not...Smdh So the margarita was extremely sweet and tasted artificial. I ended up getting a couple of other drinks ended up being Mai Tai which tasted way better. Now on to the food...shrimp tacos were made with the small shrimps and was plentiful which was good. Just when I asked for cheese it was the queso fresco I believe which was not what I expected. I also ordered steak tacos and the steak was cut in strips like you would find at a Chinese restaurant. Not seasoned at all. The guacamole I ordered with a side of chips didn't have flavor or salt either. I was so disappointed again this restaurant seems to supposedly should have been "authentic" and everything should have tasted homemade and on point. Would I come back no... The side order of jalapeños were grilled good, but the green onions can't remember what they are actually called rates old and were left side like they were sitting around getting soggy. The amount of money I spent compared to what I got...it's one and done for me.

This is my second time coming here, and I came back solely for this frijol con queso pupusa. Maaan that thing is tasty! Especially when you dip it in their salsa . I'm knocking off a star for their carne asada taco. Now y'all know better than to be serving some steak that's dry and unseasoned. It was a shame too because that grilled leek was such a nice touch. I also got a horchata. Decent, but needed more cinnamon. I'll definitely be back for that pupusa though! And wash it down with one of their giant margaritas. Hope this helps!
