Fast, friendly service always, food is good and so are the margaritas. Love coming here when running errands. Birria is always available.

Food rated 3 stars but our server was so nice & so helpful I gave 4 total stars!…read moreThere were four of us and we had the following : chips and loaded queso, cheese enchiladas and double rice, pork tamales, small bowl tortilla soup, and one combo beef fajita taco&chicken enchilada. We went through two bowls of homemade chips while we were waiting for our entrées . The queso was very good too. Our server advised she had seen them not to put the hot sauce and pico in the bowl of soup and it wasn't near as spicy so that is how I ordered mine. My grandson said the pork tamales were just OK, not as good as what they usually get closer to home. His friend ate maybe one enchilada in a little bit of rice, he said it was good. My soup looked really good but was super salty.-so much so that I only ate about a quarter of it. During this time our server came back-and-forth to check on us. Make sure everything was OK and refilled the boys drinks numerous times. The real problem comes when you consider the ambiance. The building was very old. The floors were very scuffed and did not look that clean the entire ceiling was those old-fashioned tiles and were stained with water and what might've been mold. The interior could've used a paint job. It was very bland looking. Overall, it didn't look the cleanest either. It's really rare that I have come across a place that was as dilapidated as this. Just be aware of this should you go. I'm hoping for their sake since they've expanded their hours to be open seven days a week that they're able to renovate the property.

This restaurant opened in November 2024. I thought since I'm in the coastal bend region of Texas,…read morewhy not try shrimp enchiladas? I'm near the gulf coast! Unfortunately, the shrimp enchiladas were terrible. They were in some sort of gloopy Big Mac sauce, and the last time I checked, I don't like my Mexican food tasting like McDonald's. They were also the lightest-ever enchiladas I've eaten. Typically there's some weight to enchiladas, but the container seemed awfully light to the point where I opened the to-go box before I left to ensure rice and beans were included. My hotel is pretty much in the same parking lot as the mall, and the meal had pretty much solidified by the time I reached my room about 5 minutes later. The rice and beans, horchata, and salsas were good though. I should forewarn one salsa was extremely spicy. It was good, but definitely more spicy than your average Mexican or TexMex restaurant. And for the record, I'm a lifelong Texan, so I've eaten at my fair share of Mexican/TexMex restaurants across the state. I would've rated two stars for the abysmal enchiladas (men I've experienced better), but lowered the rating to one star. I had an upset stomach at 1AM. This was the only food I'd eaten before bedtime. I won't return!
