Chicken Torta
Cindy D.

I'm a big fan of The Great Food Truck Race on Food Network and wanted to try out some of the food trucks here on Galveston Island. Yesterday, I was on my way home and spotted this one on Broadway - Taqueria Flores. I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered the Chicken Torta - never had one before, but I thought it had a fun name! OMG - it was SO DELICOUS! And SO BIG! I could only eat most of 1/2 of the sandwich. The bread was fresh and warm and fluffy! LOVE it! The chicken was perfect, just the right amount of mayo, and I don't know what else was in it, but I will be back for more. Definitely recommend this food truck!

We came We saw We ate. Done. It was not the worst I have ever had but not the greatest either. They were very tiny. My husband was still hungry after he ate them. Well, me too.

SO GOOD!!!!! Service was great, the lady taking our order was very quick and nice. The food is super great tasting and authentic. I ate here almost four years ago and then today and it's just as great as I remember :-) A little more pricey than I'd like but it's expected during this time. Highly highly recommend!

The food was 9 dollars for 5 tacos and I think it's a really good price. I got a mix of fajita and Al Pastore and I would definitely go here again . I wouldn't say it's better than Taqueria El Jardin tropical but the sauce was pretty good light not as creamy, and it was very affordable. Beware there were a lot of mosquitoes at night but it's a good place to go for a date

This is the spot for street tacos in Galveston! The Barbacoa is some of the best I've ever had, it's full of flavor and it always comes out hot. The elotes is crazy good even though it's a good sized portion you're going to want one per person! The river in the rice and beans is seasoned so god very flavorful. I just found out they had the mini taco plate because my friend ordered it so I might try that out next time. The staff is always super nice and fast too. I miss the outside seating so hopefully that will come back after covid. But all in all they're consistent good and local what more could you ask for!

Love this place! Will definitely be back and come more often. They have a variety of meats to choose from for tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more. I 100% recommend the barbacoa tacos, they got me wishing I had ordered more.

Gorditas- one barbacoa and one asada

OMG. THIS. I was absolutely starving when we stopped by this food truck. You have to park in the parking lot it's in and not the Exxon because I'm told the owner might get mad. We accidentally parked at the Exxon but left the car running with one person in it and the owner of the gas station didn't say anything to us. They were in the process and spraying down the patio and had picnic tables and an awning set up so the shade was nice. They took my order right away and I had to wait about 15 mins for it. Not too bad. I ordered the chicken quesadilla for my kid which came with beans, cheese, lettuce, crema, and avo inside with your choice of meat. It was DELICIOUS and huge. My baby ate one third, I ate a third and she had the rest as left overs. I ordered two gorditas for my wife. One barbacoa and one asada which came with beans, cheese, crema and lettuce. She thought the barbacoa was a little fatty but such is the nature of barbacoa. Other than that she thought they were very good but messy. For myself I ordered the ham torta. Let me tell you it was HUGE. I could only finish one half of it and saved the other. It came with beans, cheese, mayo, avo and lettuce. It was so good and satisfying. We also had two Mexican cokes and our total was $36 which seemed like a great deal for all the food we got. They wrapped all the food in cellophane for to-go but it was fresh and hot. Maybe the food was so good because I was starving maybe it's just actually delicious. I definitely recommend stopping by.

Chicken and Beef mixed Mini tacos - $7 ( very delicious )

After getting lost in downtown Galveston for a while, we stumbled upon this place. So glad that we found this place! They serve good food and the server was very patient when we asked questions regarding the ingredients and the prices. If you aren't local, you don't know what's usually in the food and the price. Their prices are just one for all the items-$7 It's definitely worth the try.

This is hands down the cutest, nicest most delicious food truck I have been to on the island! Next to the truck they have thick canvas umbrellas for shade over their picnic tables tucked away behind thick shrubbery to help you feel secluded, a big fan to blow and cool you off, MUSIC, string lights at night under the umbrellas and, to top it off, nice people working there. It's adorable and perfect in the summer for a few tacos and a topo to eat right there. One of my favorite tacos is the chicken tinga. But you really can't go wrong with any of their tacos. I also love the barbacoa with the raw onions, cilantro and lime squeezed on top. SO GOOD. My husband loves their tortas too. And I'm new on the Gordita wagon, I know, I've been living under a rock(Bc they are soooo good), but those also look amazing too. Next time!! I'll update my review once I try that :) It's off the beaten path on broadway (so no beach views) but the cute decor they've put together is so thoughtful and charming and the food is so good, it'll charm you in a different way. Plus, you can always go to the beach before or after! Check it out!

Pastor tacos here were incredible! Fantastic way to start vacation for my girlfriend & I. Salsa could be improved (a bit watery) & it would be cool if they sold aguas frescas. Friendly customer service, convenient food truck. Try it out!

Very friendly and fast service. My Al Pastor burrito was very tasty and I was impressed by the heat from the hot sauces!

I ordered the Shrimp Enchiladas and a Spicy Cabo Margarita. My wife got the Galveston Special on the lunch menu. The Margarita came out first. The drink was best thing about this trip. I got it with tajin and salt on the rim, so you got a salt sip on one side and extra spice on the other. The ratios of alcohol, orange liqueur and lime juice were perfect. The spicy tequila with jalapeño in it added another layer of flavor. The food came out shortly afterwards. I was weary of the yellow sauce on the enchiladas, I'm used to a cream sauce. It took a bit to get used to but it was good. The shrimp was kind of limp. They didn't seem to have been grilled before hand and didn't have that snap. My wife's Galveston Special was light and refreshing. It was a cold plate with a tostada, taco, guacamole, and queso in a tortilla bowl. The salad and tomatoes were freshly crisp and bright. The queso was good and had layers of flavor. I am an unapologetic lover of Tex-Mex and Salsas is a classic representation of the genre. It's got all the usual platters and since it's on the Gulf it has seafood too. It's always good when we eat here. *side note- the chips with red salsa and green salsa are really good.

Why 5 stars? Because this might be my new favorite restaurant in Galveston…read more --- --- --- We had been in Galveston for a couple of days, and while we had some solid meals, we were feeling kind of gross and overstuffed. Fish Company Taco proved to be like finding water in the desert. A lot of Galveston eateries are very similar, in that there's an ample amount of fried seafood on the menu, which is not exactly what you're looking for when you're in the bloated, but wanting to eat *something* state that we were in. My thought was: fish tacos are relatively light and we can walk there from our hotel - how do you beat that? What I didn't realize is that this place probably belongs more in the Heights than Galveston. And I mean that in a good way. The menu is very hipster-coded. And the food matches with hipster quality. It's hard to say what my favorite item even was. The one thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the fish dip - it was just okay. Everything else ranged from good to great. We tried... The burger: FYI, it's more like a double stacked slider than a burger, but delicious. 3 Tacos: Dirty South, Empire and Korean Flavors. I really liked the empire and the korean flavors, but thought the dirty south had a little too much going on with the pimento cheese and chips. Sticky Shrimp: I don't even know how to describe this, but it was delicious. I thought it as more like bang bang shrimp, but it was more fried that I expected. But not hardcore fried - they almost had the airy texture of fried pork skins, but were much tastier. Chili marinated Cucumbers and corn ribs: Simple, refreshing and addicting. But I liked the cucumbers a bit more. They also had some fresh juices and we enjoyed both the mango and the coconut lime concoctions. An easy 5-stars for me and a place I will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Galveston.

The Vietnamese taco stood out the most for me, while the Baja and Korean flavors were just okay, not really my favorites. Overall, it's a chill spot with a relaxed vibe and not too crowded. I'd recommend coming during happy hour to get the best experience.
