    Bronco Burrito with Barbacoa.

Stopped by on my way to work at 5:45 am. The food was amazing. I ordered their Bronco burrito with Barbacoa. This enormous burrito arrived piping hot with a savory green salsa, which has just the perfect amount of heat. The servers were friendly and courteous. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining environment was clean and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be returning next time I'm in Galveston. Me encanto el burrito recommendable 100% . La attention super buena.

Friends were raving about this place so I had to come check it out! The burrito was very filling and all the ingredients came together well, though I wished there was a second slice of bacon given the size of the burrito. The servers were nice and food came out fast! I understand why people love it.

Been coming here since high school and it's still a delicious and filling breakfast burrito. They haven't messed with it and it's worth it. Parking can be busy in the mornings but we went on a Wednesday at 10 so it went quickly. We ordered online and it was ready in ten minutes and not the 15 it said. We love a fast service!

It excites me to find the gems that the locals love, and this is one of them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It gives me that 'welcome home' feeling when you go into an establishment and everyone greets you as if they're welcoming you into their home for a good meal[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is limited but the food is a plenty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Every burrito on the menu is a filler. I opted for the namesake; Bronco Burrito because I had to. Hats off to anyone that puts one down and doesn't need a nap. It's easily 2-3 lbs of all the breakfast staples wrapped in a delicious flour tortilla. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is get in enjoy your food, chat with the staff, and keep it moving.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back the next time I'm on the island.

May 19, 2023 Haven't been here in years and man, I forgot how big and delicious their burritos are Today I got a migas burrito with bacon- so good. And the green salsa - which is all they serve is tasty with a kick Friendly staff

Just not a lot of flavor. Pretty average.

Super average. Small for a burrito. People were nice. Friends talked this place up but just super average.

We were driving around Galveston this evening looking for a new unique place to try. All the places…read morewe found on Yelp are either too busy or closed. We finally decided to just go back to our usual go-to place (Mercadito Taqueria) since we ran out of options, it's getting late and we're hangry! Before we got to the Mexican place, I noticed the Honduras sign and told my husband to turn around so we can check it out. We saw a few people inside and then I checked on yelp. They had a decent review so we went for it! And I'm glad we did!! At first we were confused about what to do since the counter isn't very visible from when you enter the door. The customers in there are all Hispanics and of course we get the weird looks. We don't speak Spanish so we don't know who to ask what to do either. Then this nice lady came up to us and told us to pick a table. She gave us menus and patiently waited for us to place our order. I ordered the chicken breast dinner for me and my boys shared the fried chicken meal. My husband ordered #6 (forgot what it's called but it looks like an empanada). She served chips and a bean dip. That bean dip is amazing! My youngest kid doesn't eat bananas at all but he ate those banana chips like a champ! The fried chicken is very crunchy and very flavorful. My husband really enjoyed his meal too. We also tried a Honduras soda (grape flavor) and it was interestingly good as well. This is our first time to eat a Honduras meal and it's been a great and delicious first experience! It turns out also, that the lady who welcomed us in is the owner of the place. Such as very nice lady! If there's one thing I would suggest that needed to be changed in her restaurant, that would be a BIGGER sign! I didn't realize they've been around for 3 years! And we also ways drive by here and have eaten at the next door restaurants and have never seen this one! We sure will be back here again!

Our server was very friendly. She gave us extra time to look over the menu and kept our glasses full. We got the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Fish Tacos. Both really good choices. But once you arrive, you're in for a real culinary trip south of the border. I dropped in very eager to try one of their taco plates. While the pictures on the restaurant's Facebook page had already piqued my appetite, I wanted to see for myself if they were the real deal. So, for my first meal here, I ordered the Pastor Street Tacos. Like at any good Mexican restaurant, my meal began with chips and salsa. It's an unwritten rule of mine that if the complimentary chips and salsa are good, the main dishes will be just as good, if not better. Fortunately, that rule holds true for Mr. Taco. I tried both the red and green salsas, which were truly spicy--a definite plus in my book. The tacos arrived after a few minutes. While the menu said they were miniature--there were four in total--they were a perfect portion. Anchored by marinated pork and topped with fresh onions and cilantro on corn tortillas, the tacos were accompanied by a bean-filled consomme and rice. With just one bite, I imagined myself on the streets of Guadalajara or Monterey; the authenticity was simply evident. I occasionally dipped the tacos in the consomme, which I could describe as a bit earthy and salty. Overall, the meal was incredibly enjoyable. This dish is a prime candidate for a go-to order on a return visit. I was very well taken care of by our waiter, Samuel. The meal's spiciness had me quickly finishing my water, but he kept the glasses coming without me having to ask. While working on the meal, I was parked in front of one of the business's massive TVs, which were tuned to the Astros game. That said, I consider Mr. Taco an ideal place to catch a game. It helps that it's open until 10 p.m.--or 2 a.m. on the weekends--though a staff member told me that's assuming they're not having a slow night. Price-wise, I'd say the costs are quite fair. My platter was about $13, which would be roughly three dollars more elsewhere.

The first thing we noticed upon entering was how hot and humid it was inside. There did not seem to be adequate air conditioning, which made the environment uncomfortable for our entire visit. After being seated, it took approximately 15-20 minutes before anyone came to take our drink and food order. We ordered chips and queso as an appetizer, but after waiting a long time, we realized it had never been brought out. We had to remind our server twice before finally receiving it nearly 30 minutes later. The service continued to be slow throughout the evening. Several members of our party requested drink refills and additional beverages, but many of those requests were either forgotten or never brought to the table. Communication was lacking, and we often felt ignored. To make matters worse, we learned that parties of six or more are automatically charged an 18% gratuity. While we understand that this is the restaurant's policy, it felt very frustrating given the poor service we received. The level of attention and professionalism throughout our visit did not reflect the type of experience that would normally justify such a charge. We also spoke with another staff member regarding our concerns, hoping for some clarification or acknowledgment of the issues we were experiencing. Unfortunately, we did not receive much explanation or reassurance. We are not the type of people who usually leave negative reviews, but we felt it was important to share our experience so that others can make informed decisions. Between the uncomfortable atmosphere, long wait times, forgotten items, poor communication, and disappointing service, this restaurant was not a good experience for our family, and we do not plan on returning.

Still, the name Shuko had me curious, it's one of Guatemala's most iconic street foods, so I had to try it. For those who don't know, a traditional Guatemalan shuko is street food done right: grilled bun, steamed hot dog, Guatemalan-style guacamole (no onions or tomatoes), sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup, and mayo. Their take here is a bit different no guac on mine, but still packed with flavor. A mix of grilled meats, sauerkraut, and condiments all stuffed into a roll. Definitely not traditional, but still tasty. I also tried one of their pupusas, and it hit the spot. A classic revuelta melted cheese and chicharrón oozing out of a perfectly griddled corn masa pocket. Comfort food, plain and simple. Only downside The fries. They were undercooked, a little limp. Just needed a bit more time in the fryer. But overall, if you're into street food with a Central American twist, Shuko 502 is worth the stop.
