Great food, first time to try. Shrimp were good size. I will definitely be back again.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Galveston! I finally stopped by after passing it so many times on the way to the beach--and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the Parmesan Coconut Shrimp Plate with a side of fries, and everything was delicious. The shrimp were perfectly crispy with a flavorful balance of savory and sweet. The tartar sauce had a fresh, dilly flavor that tasted homemade--so good! The fries were hot, well-seasoned, and perfectly crispy. Customer service was great--everyone was super kind and welcoming. There's seating available near the water if you want to dine with a view, but I took mine just down the street to the beach for the full seaside vibe.

THE BEST FRIED SHRIMP! We ordered 1 order coconut shrimp and 1 order of the plain regular fried shrimp. I'm not sure about all the sauce options because they toss the shrimp in it but I guess you could just ask for it on the side. I just like good fried shrimp with tartar sauce. Both versions were cooked perfectly! A+++

Good day folks! Visiting my son at Houston we decided to spend a day at Schlitterbahn Galveston we had a great time and now to find a place to eat. And if you are at the coast- then some seafood is a must!! And after some water fun - Fried Shrimp was the call DSS popped up on our GPS and we stopped in put in our order (took 45 mins to get our food shame on you guys - that gives you a one star) But we are on vacation and the spirit is light and the goal is to enjoy. We had arrived during sun set - and we had no hurry and no worry's at the moment so we grabbed a drink from the gas station next door and kicked backed and took in the moment. I was sitting next to my son - I don't get that everyday - Sun and Sky were looking down on us and gifting us a beautiful scenery- grateful for that moment -our meal came out right at setting time- we took a deep breath and were grateful! Shrimp were great and cocktail sauce was nice and horseradishy!! Thank you Shrimp Shack Let Love Lead!

Shrimp were excellent so I guess that's the most important thing. Placed an order on a Sunday night and was told 15-20min, 45min later I asked for status of order and I got a flustered look from the person at the window. They apparently forgot my order, 20 min got the shrimp and they were very good. A really cool pelican was walking around the area too.

Well - do you see the fresh catch that day ? Glorious shrimp!!! Absolutely Delicious. GO! This place will not disappoint. Support this permanent food truck independent business. Service is great- even telling you how long it will take to get your named called. Lemmie tell you, food truck, seagulls and fresh air. The ambience is casually perfect. Watch the birds - they want the food also and are watching you.

    Toasted Texas Pecan Shrimp

Shrimp flavor choices, there were about 6 all sounded amazing. Special was Toasted Texas Pecan and my first try. Amazing! Others tried in our group Garlic Parmesan, Plain, Coconut. Everyone enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed the Pecan! Hush puppies were flavorful and just a touch of spice, order of fries huge! (We each got an order but one would have been enough for all 4 of us). We even stopped on our home and each got orders to take home and have for dinner! The shrimp are huge and fresh. The Pecan and Coconut came with an apricot chili dip the was delicious! The guy working (said he was there til 3 Daily) was friendly and fun to talk to and banter with. When we stopped back he remembered us which is always a great touch!

10 piece fried Cajun shrimp with 2 hush puppies.

In the running for best fried shrimp I've eaten. Had the Cajun with cocktail sauce. Definitely got a sweat going. Real three bite shrimp, you can taste the freshness. Very friendly staff, for 16$ 10 large shrimp with 2 hush puppies.

Super fresh food mean you have to wait- but totally worth it! Shrimp was hot fresh and crispy. Easy to find and park. Rustic and on the water with picnic benches.

Where to you gets your shrimp?

The Gulf of Mexico. If you know there location it is right on the bay and the owner also owns a shrimp boat (The Darlene) and they catch their own shrimp in the Gulf!

I always appreciate when staff is excited about specific plates. The trip was dynamite. The sauce was TOO GOOD. Like, we wanted to drink what was left. 5 stars just for that. My wife loved the oysters. The lobster roll had quite a bit of lobster in it. Super buttery and filling. Solid fries. This was a very pleasant stop on our trip.

Our lunch was absolutely delicious. Here's the rundown: 1 appetizer of ahi tuna won-ton, 2 raw oyster samplers, 2 Galveston Island Brewing blondes, 1 dirty gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, and one to-go bottle of Cat Five hot sauce. I am not a huge fan of tuna, but this ahi/poke style of tuna with actual umami flavor elevates a mild sushi gateway fish to something yummy. The oysters were a delight. Shucks has a color coded system in place to help you identify which oysters are which, but my tired old eyes can't seem to make their system work. I did have two favorite kinds but could not tell you what they were. No matter, they were all superior - and small like east coast/ Canadian bivalves are. Dan's beer was tasty and swillable and my martini was appropriately dirty. We got the hot sauce because you can never have enough condiments and cats were referenced in its name. Our server was friendly and efficient. Interesting to me, I was mildly making fun of their music selection and soon after it changed. Coincidence? Dunno, but I appreciated the change to Motown! Bottom line. So, so enjoyable and something we don't do too often these days. It was an expensive meal, but worth the splurge.

The slaw on the taco could have been much better with more lime, less mayo? Not sure what was in it honestly, but citrus would have made it even better. I had a couple of bites of the burger, it was good. The wings were a special, not usually on the menu, wouldn't recommend those, there was an odd flavor. The pretzel bites weren't a big hit either. The service was friendly and attentive. I would come back here for a drink and an appetizer to enjoy the view.

The stuffing was packed with flavor but I could still taste the shrimp. The catfish was fried to a golden crisp and it came out hot! The potatoes were surprisingly good. I wanted the bean relish but my wife nixed that idea. The hush puppies were okay. They were dense and flavorful but just a little too small and crispy for my taste.
