amazing lengua burrito, good portions good service, good salsa, and fairly priced for the portion size you get

My first time. I decided to get something to eat after a marathon shopping trip at Food 4 Less. I always get tacos at new places so I can sample the meat. They have a bigger selection of meats than most places. My standard is pastor. While I was waiting for that, I saw that they have chicharrones tacos, which most places do not offer, so I got one of those too. Service was fast and pleasant. They gave me a bag for chips even though mine was a take out order. Good chips, not store bought. The chicharrones was soupy, so they put it in a small take-home box. I got back to my car and ate it by scooping it up with my chips and ignored the corn tortillas underneath. Very tasty. The pastor was also good, different from other taquerias. Plenty of onions and cilantro included on both. Good selection of salsas, though you need to ask at the counter for lids for the plastic containers. I'll definitely be going back, especially since I saw tripas on the meats list. Gotta try all the meats! read more

Best Super Nachos in town. Always enjoy the delicious blend of mozzarella cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole. Always hits the spot. The super burritos are some of the best too! Especially the chicken one which I believe is marinated in a citrus blend. Definitely recommend! read more

Everything is always great here! I love the owner, she is always so nice! My favorite is the taco salad

Three stars for the friendly service and the rice and beans. Camarones rancheros were more of a shrimp fajitas dish, and the shrimp was not seasoned. The shrimp tasted like pre-cooked shrimp from costco. Chile verde burrito had no sauce, just a dry burrito with rice and beans. The meat had no chile verde or flavor. Maybe just don't order those two items. read more

First time going here took about 3" minutes to order and walk out with food. Since then, I always call ahead and food is ready I'm 15-20 mins from the time I call. We have gone back time and again for the Super ASADA Fries and ASADA Super Burrito's. Great tasting and nice, flavorful selections of salsa's. read more

The super burritos of carnitas use to be the bomb! Now the burrito has the carnitas in the middle of the burrito along with a bunch of the chewy nasty fat they're to lazy to remove. Let's not talk about the super fries, gosh they have the fries sitting for a long time that after they warm them up in the microwave you can taste the stale taste of the fries, it's nasty! I will no longer return to what use to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. read more

Amazing Taqueria! They serve tacos, tostadas, sopas, tortas, tamales any Mexican platillo you can think of! Super good and great service, come here often with my boyfriend on dates regularly :), all their food is super delicious and good!, always having nice clean tables for their customers, super nice ladies and gentlemen who work there. Service has always been great here, and so has the food. But today I went there and ordered a to-go order for 1 asada super burrito and 1 chicken super quesadilla. However when we got home the burrito was shrimp. (My boyfriend who is highly allergic to shrimp) took a bite thinking it was asada. My husband and I have been patronizing this restaurant since they opened. Today, for the first time, we had lousy service! The prices advertised are not what rings up on their register. They are more expensive when rung up! Also, my sope was so hard, that the flimsy plastic knife bent! I asked if I could have a real knife, and was told that they didn't carry any, so I asked that they make a softer sope. They did, but when it was brought to my table, the girl had a crappy attitude! Torta was good one of the best tortas I ever had, very big and good flavor. Chile Verde was spicy but good big portions on the rice and beans not in the meat. Found this place while going to a local grocery store! We looked at the reviews and decided to have a quick bite to eat before we left the area. My girlfriend got a veggie burrito and I got 2 al pastor tacos. They also have a salsa bar which is great to snack on before the food comes out! The chips and salsa thing is quite common in the Mexican restaurant scene but they mix it up a bit by giving you the freedom to get chips and whatever salsa you prefer! The food was fantastic! She loved her burrito, even if it doesn't have any meat on it! The meat was some of the best I have ever had at any Mexican restaurant since being in California. The only thing this place is lacking is the feel of an actual restaurant, no servers or conventional service. Other than that its great! read more

This is the best tasting carne asada I have eaten anywhere in Salinas. I love the Quesadilla de Gallo. The steak(carne asada) is always cooked and served with a very fresh, juicy, and mouth watering taste. The food keeps me coming back weekly because it's that good in my opinion. I love this place and recommend almost everything on menu because I think I've ordered almost every entree offered here. The carne asada in the burrito was dry and hard the rice had no flavor and it gave me food poisoning

We took a bit of a chance by driving so far off the 101 to visit this highly Yelp rated restaurant for a Sunday breakfast. I can't deny being slightly worried as we drove through town. However the cityscape quickly changed into a quite, clean neighborhood. The restaurant sits in a strip mall, but that somehow doesn't detract from it's appeal. The establishment is impeccably clean, recently remodeled, and modestly decorated. All in all it is everything you love in a taqueria, but a little more upscale. If I could only make one recommendation to my fellow yelpers, it would be to try the horchata. Words cannot express the perfection. In fact, it may even be worth the drive to Salinas. Or at the very least, worth the detour off the 101. read more

Asada fries were great and fulfilling. The order is enough to share with someone. Also had a chicken taco which was also very good. They give you a bowl when you place your order up front for bottomless chips. They have a salsa bar with a variety of salsas to pair with your chips. Place is very roomy. This was our first time here and we had great expectations. To begin with, it was so hot inside that we had to get our food to go. Self serve chips and salsa bar. Chips were stale and greasy. Salsa was ok, but nothing special. Rice and beans were super salty. Uneatable in my opinion. Meat on the tacos (asada) was dry and chewy. Chicken enchiladas were dry too. I worked here for almost a year and their food is yummy! Everything is home made. The cooks are very clean. Everything is delicious! We came here because the reviews said it was so good we were very disappointed. The carnitas in my daughters quesadilla were the best thing we ordered and the rice came in second. The food is great the four stars is for the food only. One particular waitress is very rude. Not only did she get our order wrong (which is fine) but yet she dared be rude about it . She also made comments about us to her coworker while we were still waiting for the second other order that we had to make twice. She should've at least waited for us to leave.
