I got to try them at the Yelper Party, but I needed to experience them in their element. The line was long, but they moved pretty fast. Unfortunately they were out of corn tortillas and were making more when I got to the front of the line, so I opted for flour instead of waiting. I've been eating A LOT of tacos in the past couple of weeks. Once I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes I needed to find a meal that consisted of the perfect amount of carbs and protein. It turns out two tacos is exactly what my body needs. (At Loli's I ordered three tacos, don't judge me but my blood sugar did almost hit the highest of the range I'm supposed to be in, so I've scaled back to two). I got a shrimp, a ribeye, and a cow tongue. Cow tongue might make you pause, but it is the most delicious meat I ate out of the three, and the other two weren't slobs. I promptly decided next time I will only order cow tongue until I looked up the nutritional aspect of the meat. Don't be me, don't look it up. I love fatty meats so I loved the cow tongue. All three meats were exceptional. Like I said, I've been eating many tacos and this surpasses all of them by far. If you see the Loli's food truck rolling up anywhere, do yourself a favor and stop to try it. Heck, I'd be tempted to follow it to its final destination if I see it driving down the street.
