So We took mother in-law for the first time to Toreros, and boy they disappointed. Service was a little bit not caring and checking on us. She wasn't rude but a little bit of ghost mode! What was the dissapoinment of the night was the way the fajitas plate was put together. Little sad there was no care on putting it together. Wrong tortillas where brought out. We ordered handmade tortillas got charged but got the wrong tortillas. Sadly we didnt find the waiter so we just had to eat what they brought out. We kind of thought it was odd that on a Tuesday a Mexican restaurant wouldn't have any specials. Anyway we ordered a drink, a beer for him and a sangria for me. I was pretty surprised just how big the sangria was and it was tasty. For dinner I ordered the Chile Colorado and Michael had the steak and chicken fajitas. I have never had the Chile Colorado and it was absolutely delicious! The beef was tender and cooked in a flavorful red chile sauce. Four of us came for dinner on a Saturday night. There was plenty of free parking in front. Reservations aren't accepted; we were able to get a comfortable booth indoors. The menu was a large book with some photographs & the usual Mexican choices, vegetarian and also American options. We enjoyed warm tortilla chips and salsa's with different heat while perusing the menu. The mariachi guitar player stopped at our table, he was very loud. Our waitress came quickly to our table & our meals were delivered very quickly. We all started with frozen margaritas that came in a huge fishbowl of a glass. We had dinner with friends. There is plenty of parking and note that they do not take reservations. We had warm chips with salsa and our drinks. I enjoyed their frozen mango margarita. After my initial review, I've decided to give this place another chance because my wife loves it so much. Glad I did because this place actually does have great food and service. Their rice and beans are one of my favorites here, but most of their menu items are actually good and also plentiful. Ambience is your typical Tex-Mex theme with lots of wood furniture. My go-to dish is their Tacos Al Carbon, you can choose between steak, pork, shrimp or chicken and can even mix and match. The steak typically needs salt but my favorite is the shrimp, super plump and you can taste the sear. Would certainly recommend this place! read more

Very nice! I read a few reviews on this place and gave it a try. It's ins shopping mall on Lake Worth Road just east of the Turnpike. Really nice Mexican decor. Cool booths. The servings are ridiculous. Large! I always judge a Mexican restaurant by the horchata juice. Lol. It was all right. I tried the chicken enchiladas. It's served with two enchiladas. Rice, refried beans and Sour cream. My husband had the chicken fajita. The chicken was a little crispy but the flavor was great. We'll definitely be back. We had a very disappointing experience here and unfortunately would not return. We arrived excited for Taco Tuesday with an 85-year-old family member who was looking forward to the meal. When the waiter first came over we weren't quite ready to order drinks, and he told us he would come back. Instead, he made us wait about 15 minutes before returning. During that time we saw him in the back of the restaurant drinking a large beverage and chatting with co-workers, so I politely asked if he could come take our order. He ignored the request and did not come to our table. After waiting another 10 minutes I approached him again and he said, "I waited for you, now you need to wait for me." The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Our table included an elderly guest who was hungry and excited to be there, yet the waiter showed no concern or professionalism. We then asked if another server could help us and he said he was the only server, even though there appeared to be several other servers working. When we asked to speak with the manager, he told us he was the manager. I've never experienced such disrespectful treatment at a restaurant. I love Mexican food but if this was the last Mexican restaurant in the world, I would never eat Mexican again. read more

My wife ordered the seafood enchiladas and I ordered a Mexican surf and turf, both plates were excellent. Carla was our server and she was great like the last time she served us! Had dinner here last night (Thursday) and the food was quite enjoyable. I had the 2 Cheese Enchiladas with mole sauce and crema, rice and refried beans. My dinner was excellent I paired it with a raspberry margarita on the rocks very huge and refreshing. My husband had the carne asada. Very large portion and the meat was nice and tender. Only complaint was our waitress was not very personable. Didn't greet us just asked us what we wanted to drink and eat and did not come over to see how we were enjoying our meal. The restaurant itself is very nice we had a nice booth at about 5:30 by the time we left about 7:45 the place was getting packed. Overall a great little place with big portions and great drinks. The tables and booths look like they are hand carved wood with the Torero logo on each chair and table. You can tell the owners went out of their way to make this a unique experience. They were actually playing 80's and 90's hits on the radio during our visit. Just a heads up - there is NO BAR. However, they have an employee bar area where they make the best and strongest margaritas to bring out to you. Our server was Karla, we had read about her from other reviews and were lucky enough to have her serve us during our very first visit. She is a doll! Always smiling, always on point and works hard to make sure you're happy! Let me warn you, the menu is extensive and everything sounds delicious. Just about every plate we saw pass our table looked and smelled so darn good! The fajitas are out of this world. Our food was very hot temperature wise and the portions were large. The flavors were also authentic. I could eat at least 3 of the chargrilled jalapeños they give you only one with your meal. Yum yummy. We saw many people take their leftovers home. Not so much for us... we ate it all because we don't even know what the word leftovers means. We rolled each other out to the parking lot. What a hidden gem this restaurant is. I heard this corner lot in the strip mall has an unlucky reputation of having unsuccessful businesses, but Torero's serves up better than decent Mexican food so I hope it sticks around. They really maximized their square footage for a small restaurant as the tables are positioned quite close together (I was pretty much shoulder to shoulder with my friends) but they keep the AC pretty cold so it's still comfortable. Food is enormous and delicious! I've tried the chicken quesadilla that comes with refried beans and rice, as well as chips and salsa, and it was all yummy not to mention super filling. Entrees are shareable if you have a small appetite. The best part of the menu however, is their extensive tequila collection with my personal favorite, Lunazul blanco. Super smooth for shots, but even better in a good margarita. Service was attentive and patient considering we were a large party of drunk people after 2 hours.
