Here's my experience: The waiter came and dropped the chips as they were at the table; no biggy, right? Wrong. They apologized, offered us our drinks free; nice you think? We saw the drinks on our bill. They brought more chips but they were bottom of the bag, literally all crumbs and shambles. Food took forever and was cold, beans must have either been powdered or came from a can as they were HORRID. When we wanted to leave the waiter was talking it up with another table, and ONLY helping the other tables. We had to have been there for nearly three hours. I miss Cassidy's, they were good and classy. This place is disgusting, I'm glad the roof fell in. I hope you never reopen and try to serve that lousy excuse for garbage that you call food. read more

Great taco's. The salsa is addicting. I think the food is great. Place I'll be eating at everything time I come to Oroville.

I don't think they are going to last very long. We tried going there a few times for lunch but they weren't open even though it said they were. Finally, our last attempt they were open. They had one waitress working & one cook. When we arrived there was 2 other tables along with us. The waitress was friendly & trying but it got busier and she couldn't keep up. There was another waitress that came into work but the cook sent her home because she had a white shirt on. We got chips & salsa right away but other tables didn't. We had to ask for refills & it took awhile to get our soft drinks too. Finally we got our food & we weren't impressed. Sorry but we won't be back. read more

Terrible experience. We went to eat at the restaurant. The server told us to seat ourselves. Only 4 other customers in the restaurant. She came by and got our drink order, told us she'd bring back chips and menus. She never came back. She checked out all the people that were leaving, and served the two other tables that came in after us. She seemed to know one of the tables and catered to them. We were there for 25 minutes and never saw a menu or our drinks/chips and they weren't busy at all. We left and went to Los Compadres. This place has the absolute best street tacos in town! They are always nice to my husband when he goes so idk what all these other people are saying but they are always nice. They have good super burritos, and their chips are delicious. Food is edible. Sauces taste out of can, chips and tortillas out of a bag. IMO an odd menu. You won't find the standard "carne asada or Carnitas Burrito" or street tacos here. Will not return. Still no mexican restaurants in Oroville or Chico worth eating at since La Fonda went out business like 15 years ago. I had a different experience that the previous reviewers... perhaps I was lucky but I was served as soon as I sat in the table by a amicable lady... we were three people and we had Carnitas, Torta de Milanesa and Chile relleno... portions were extremely big (two people can eat from one dish) and food was tasty, above normal and extremely superior to the other Mexican food options in Oroville...
